Betty that lampshade turned out so pretty for her. I bet she is so proud!
whether your Ds liked it or not I still think he needed to be told. because either way that is something his sone would remember. Besides there is plenty of winter left to enjoy the snow!

thanks Vicki, usually that's rule #1 with me...DO NOT get involved, it's not your business...but today just could resist..lol..

Had a wonderful supper at Diane & Paul's..roast beef dinner to die for and I didn't have to cook so I'm on day 3 of not fixing any foods..ok by me..lol

Michelle is the girl that does 'staging' in the house..she uses the most simple things to make a room look pretty..

She went on her site and I copied 3 or 4 photo's for you to see..she love 'Victorian'

Very nice pieces of furniture and it is pretty. Not my style to live in but I wouldn't mind having some of it!

Betty I think he is feeling guilty because you are right. LOL Even when older they don't always like to listen to mom. My son does something similiar. Only this is for different advice! Then we can smile inside when they come back sometime later and say we were right!

Good late evening or early morning!
~O) cup o coffee,tea or what ever..lol

Gosh, it has been the entire weekend...I am so just in awe at everyone's photo's!

My emotions are so mixed of good, happy, sad, overwhelmed and just plain excited!

As you know...I awaited the company of my nephew and grandnephew...lol as you can see, they arrived. While I paced the floors, watched out the window like little Ella so long ago at the view of a whole new adventure. Haha, only difference I pretty much had my face pressed against the window!! Finally after much to do, They arrived at 9:00 P.M. Cooked agreat spegetti dinner while waiting...anyhow theygot here. We enjoyed 2 most beautiful days together. LOL Betty, When they were getting ready to leave..Said we were going to play hide and seek...Big smiles...did too, as each of us 5 had to ...uhhhh, steal baby to give big hugs before he went off. DS#1..disappeared with him first..Ds took his turn to teach a wonderful hugging technique..Then Breenie, ds#2 decided to give hime a tour of her room! Great Uncle Steve just couldn't give him up until he held a conversation...Mom and dad didn't mind a bit so said maybe I should keep him for another couple weeks...well, pouting 'cause his brothers would be unhappy...so as unreluctantly as possible we hugged and kissed and sent them on their way. My Godness, what a fun, fun weekend.

LOL, I forgot ow much stuff is needed for a baby!! My house was one heck of maze. haha, well one of a different kind anyway. Donaovan is just too cute for words. Oh yesterday Whipped up a Santa sleigh..LOL there Christmas present in February! They LOVED the Smoosh painting!! heheh mee tooo...Wish I could remember What nephew said about Podge...but i can't, something funny anyway.

Oh gosh..I want to say GG...Absolutley love all the quilts...had many favorites too but must say Birdie was my all time faves!! What detail... just incredible.

Betty, oh my gosh...your cafe kitchen is just wonderful!! I think your Exchanger has seen or could probably tell how you are...Wonderful! You got to say what you got to say to your kids. I think you did the right thing too. Happy Birthday to Nohel...

Oh Shar...so cute, I hope you will allow your little "seedtosser" to do just that too!! Smiled huge when I read that...we never learn too soon the amazment of nature. I hope you did get the quilt bug again.

Liz...I forgot to mention (in all my excitement) What a great fun find...I can't wait to see what you will come up with...Good golly I can already picture Pot people sitting amongst those chairs! LOL DH will get a chuckle on that one!..

Dawn, Wow...you have done an absolute beautiful job...I adore your windows!! Love the whole face of your home...Whatever time you have there I sure hope you love all your work to make it yours...great find on the cinderblock!! As long as you love it..so do I.

Carol, I am so enjoying the visit with your friends. Isn't it just a marvel that we get to share Time! doesn't matter how old anyone s...Love spreads at all ages.

Well, I know I have missed some conversation...but I can't beleive I am still awake! almost 10:30

Will say a couple more things!

Best...Meeting my grandnephew! haha, looks just like my sister with some expressions!
Worst...not being able to spend time with you and sending baby home.
Learned...Ahhh, Making memories, a lifetime of happiness...sharing them too.

Good night all.

That sounded like a great evening, happy faces with exuberant(spelling?)joy.

I love the lamp she made B. You must live to do stuff for others or you can't stand to be idol.

Anyone heard from or talked to Liz?

She sent me the plants and it was like $9.?? for postage. She made me something special that I don't want to say what it is in case she gives one to her secret pal or something.

I sent my last gift out but I didn't say who I was because I wasn't sure if we were supposed to yet. I know she knows though.

Sharran - Thank you for sharing about your deceased friend. You just described the last few years of my living here on earth. She had Alzheimer's and it was a very nasty disease to watch. My mother did something very similar to your trying on clothes story. It was about a week before her death and I had taken my youngest son, my great niece and great nephew to visit her in the home where she spent the last 18 months of her life. She was in the same condition as your friend. Didn't know any of us to call us by name or anything like that. Hadn't been able to carry on a conversation in years.

As we were getting ready to leave after visiting she looked at the kids and said, "You all be good now." That was the most complete sentence she had made in years. It is exactly something she would have said to them if they had been at her house were leaving years earlier when she had her senses about her. That is something that stuck in my mind and something that I will never forget. She was still in there somewhere.

Oh gosh, getting a bit emotional here when speaking of this. I don't talk much about either of my parents who are now dead. The sadness is usually very fleeting. I think of them each and every day though and since becoming an adult and having children on my own, I can now see that they were doing the best they knew when raising my brother and myself.

Need to scoot along. Going to go and visit grandaughter this afternoon. Betty you asked many weeks ago how often I get to see her. They live within about 30 minutes of me and it averages out being probably about every ten days or so that I see her. Due to walking and balance problems that have snuck up on me the past two or so years, I am unable to walk and carry her at the same time. I am terrified that I will fall with her. So, other step gramdma and my ex get to keep her overnight at least once a week it seems. That bothers me a little bit, but not really much I can do about it. I am hoping that later on when she is able to walk that she will be able to come here and stay some. I can't wait to take her shopping and to other places that little one's like doing.

I will check back in later today. You aaall have a wonderful day.

Pacifica, CA

morning all,

well i can honestly say the trip from h---! dh is so discusted with his mom and such we took 4 days off we planned to drive back from oregon today.
on thursday dh called his mom and said you both better be ready were leaving as soon as we get up there which would be at 7.00.
guess who wasnt ready and so we had to wait she decided to cook breakfast because it would take to long to go to a restaurant so now this would put us at 8-830 well guess who is smoking up a storm he finally told them lets go so all is packed and now she tells us oh wait i have all this food to bring, now keep in mind mil cant hear desperatly needs a hearing aid so the television was on full blast so she starts to ask me something and i said i cant over throw the tv to talk so now she started on me that i cant be around old people ect now fil ripped her a new behind i was trying to figure out how i was going to get out of there alive.
we finally hit the road at 9.30 as we got to mt shasta oh it was beautiful snow galore we stopped to have lunch at a black bear restaurant and what was in the little gift area oh my god but huckleberry honey wow 7.50 but i got one mil ran to the bottle to see how much it was (that just irritates me) we ordered mil and fil got into it big time everyone looking poor guy cant order nothing she takes over(now fil is from italy and speaks with a hevy accent and mil is from the phillipines and her accent is med) can you imagine all of this at the table dh and i wanted to slither under the table.

back on the road my jaw is killing me from smiling... in the mean time she is just yapping in the back all we can do is say yes, your right so a text from judy comes through i have no reception in the mountain now a voice message but i cant call so i texed judy im ok and i couldnt talk because i had the phllipino parliment in the back seat.
we finally get where we need to be in oregon it was at 3.30 dh noticed the greyhound bus was three blocks from their house oh and now we find out we have to take her (mil) sister home on the way.. we got to stay in the fully equiped cottage ajacent from the house away from all of them.
well something happened 3 hours after we were there and were asked politly to leave i can only immagine what she said while we were at the cottage so we visited with john for a little while i guess hospice is comming this week.
johns wife connie showed me around the place nice country home out in there back yard not more than 50 feet is the river just beautiful.
so dh's cousin stopped in he has border collies he shows in agility sort of competition nice they visited
our plan was to on sunday to meet up with a friend who has a boat to go down the river and fish now that mil ruined that poor kenny didnt want anyone driving so he did all of it so he was so looking foward to relaxing, so we told them we were going to meet mark and debbie for breakfast dh invited them but she just said no go ahead and meet them we will just wait (another dig) so we left had the best time visiting they told us we have a room come stay with us but we couldnt so off to pick them up so we got everyone in the car now as we left kenny said first one to start you all go back grehound got it!

so mil sniviling are we going to eat fil said at the casino she said no not three hours so i said to kenny stop at the dennys right now so we got her to eat (should of left her there) she had the nerve to say fil was a very selfish man aunt jane and i went to the restroom she told me she has always been awful like that ever since they were little there is a sister in mississippi who dosnt want to be around her because of the fighting jane is going to see her this summer and told me not to tell her also told me look her own daughter cant stand being around her so with that we left it was storming so bad we had poring rain, snow, wind and complete terror in the back seat boy who could ask for any more lol
now she was happy to drop money at the casino but the best part was we always go to the wheel of fourtune machines i'll be dh won 200.00 poor guy he deserved it so as i am playing she is right behind us come on lets go.
we took aunt jane home visited with them a hour so we got back to mil house at 11.00 that night had no choice but to sleep there we settle in bed exausted and she decides to put the tv on and guess what we hear through the wall BECAUSE SHE CANT HEAR omg i sat up and looked at dh he is snickering i said so help me god if you ever bring them anywhere we go again i'll kill you! he laughed and said lets try to sleep.

of corse after we left there we hit up all the thrift shops from napa to san francisco just to do something from being so stressed out lol now im going to have more coffee and go yap at dh we are both off today i'll be back to talk to all of you this was from their deck my one of three pictures i was so crazy i couldnt take any pictures

Botanical Gardens trip was nice - a little rainy and yucky but overall nice. The Norfolk Botanical Gardens has over 1600 Camellias so I was just going crazy looking at all of them. I got tons of pictures and also took some "samples". Gave those to my DM since I had to stop by her house on the way home. All in all, it was a very tiring day. Got home and started sewing and then started to feel bad - upset stomach and such. Thought I was definitely going to be sick but thankfully wasn't. Still feeling a little blah so must have a touch of something.

Have school tonight with a test so I'm trying to study here at work. We basically have to identify 10 plants that we have gone over in the last 3 classes - Genus, Species, Family. So since I have no idea which 10 she will pick, I have pictures from all of them - about 35 total - that I'm trying to memorize. I don't start studying until the day of the test so that way I can walk in and all of the images will be fresh in my mind! The classes where we can't go out into the gardens to "study" are the easier ones. Because of this, the instructor uses pictures to identify the plants. When it gets warmer and it's light at night, we will head outside. Those tests are harder because the instructor actually uses cuttings from the plants for the tests. Since these cutting s will mostly likely look different then the pictures we study, it's a little more difficult. Do you guys know how many Hollies there are out there??? UGH! Next week is the final exam so we have to study all 5 lists of plants and identify 25 of them. That will be fun! Then we'll have 2 weeks off before the next class.

Oh well, off to study...

Will chat later.

HI All--

Not much to write about.....
Jill's Seed Swap was this past Saturday. There were about 20 people there. We were all in this small, back room. Kind of crowded--no one could freely float around and chat, but I tried to walk around and introduce myself to the ones I did not know.

This was all in a Chinese Buffet restaurant. Oh, my God! So much food!!!!! It was all pretty good too. I tried to keep it to a minimum, but wanted to taste a lot of things....

Anyway! I have not sowed any seeds yet. Now I have more than I had before The Swap. I put my shelf together and might go out today to Lowes and buy the two, 3' shop light fixtures that will hang on this shelf. I put the shelf in my bedroom by a bright window. There is also a floor-heat vent just below it. Will put the seeded trays on the bottom most shelf. That should help.

Liz,
Will you be starting the seeds directly outside or inside in seed trays? Is the area in CA you live in warm this time of year? Good luck with your seeds.

Talk to you all later...Gita

Glenview, IL

Yep, Great discription. LOL National Lampoon Vacation!!!ROFL.

So glad DH won 200.00 hahha, is it all gone on the thrifts stores??? Would have been too funny to hear you had to tie MIL up on the roof to make room for all they buys...Well I sure am glad you and DH have a day left to yourselves...With your creative minds I am looking forward to hear and see what you create together.

Jeannine...Wishing you Best of luck on your test!! Will be thinking of you.

Betty, So sweet to share your angel wings...smiles I think you are right.
Also, wanted to say how pretty michelle's lamp shade turned out. I love her Vicorian style decorating...She has some esquisit pieces. I marveled at all just like walking in a Museum.

Dawn, You know it just hit me that you moved all those blocks yourself?!!? Holy Moly...you need some garden wings girl...I have moved my share of stone in and around gardens so I can sure appreciate your love and devotion. The front of your house is going to be spendid...Just can't get over the Grandure of those windows!! So, just to add my two cents...Something tall in between to show them off. LOL can't tell you what though, but definatley Tall. Now...you just go and rest that back of yours...good golly still shaking my head.

Shar I am so excited to read your article...

Ruby, Such a nice memory of your mom...thank you for sharing.

...Most people think of friendship as a circle, I think here, The circle is shaped a heart.

Welcome to the thread Murmur! We're a fun lovin' bunch of crazy ladies (plus Herbie!). Feel free to chime in anytime!!!

Jeannine

Glenview, IL

Hi...
Taking a lunch break...
Gita, how fun Jill's seed swap sounded. Glad you were able to attend!
Oh my the Chinese buffet...I love buffet's so much enjoyment in sampling everything, lol and not feel guilty for pigging out!

Well Hello Carol-Murmur...Geesh haven't seen you in forever!! How are your new grandchildren?? I'll bet you are just loving them up. So come on quit lurking and tell us all about them. Big smiles...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Please do Murmur so we can ooohhhh and awwwwe!

You are making me hungry for Chinese..had it twice last week, wouldn't hurt to have it again...

They are taking Mathew into operating room to put in a shunt in so they can give him meds..Bernie said that Mathew was trying to talk but the only thing coming out are grunts..he's not able to use his ride side right now, not sure if he will have permanent damage or if it's just still the brain healing..

It was not meningitus, apparently there is a virus going around, attacked his sinus etc. and the infection turned to 'puss' - not sure of the correct terminology..anyway the infection created mega problems with the brain..

Nancy, Ross have been staying in his room since he was hospitalized, thank goodness for hospitals allowing this..makes Mathew more comfortable as would it for any other child...Sick Children's Hospital is one of Canada's best I'm sure..

Bernie did say that in walking the floor Ross (Mathew's dad) saw 3 or 4 other young children who had similar, and they are playing, being children, moving and speaking and this has given him hope...

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

That is good news Betty, if it was not meningitis. I hope for the best.

Liz, you sure gave me some great laughs this morning, what a time you had. I agree with Murmur, you need to write a book. I can't believe the patience you showed.

Judy, I am so glad you had a good time, your little Donovan is a beautiful child. Your nephew looks like you.

Carol, anxious to hear of your friend's visit.

Betty, Michelle's decorating skills are amazing. I love the look she has created, but of course I have none of that style of furniture. I would like it for accent pieces, though. I do like the orange on the walls, though I tend more toward the reds that have more of a blue tint. Only because if I am around orange, I seem to become orange. Like Gilli's scarf...it was beautiful on Gilli...on me??? Nah, I don't think so.

Gita I hope you took photos of your gathering this weekend. Sounds fun.

Great kitchen cabinets, Ruby...I did the same with mine but used a deep red color, called garnet. I have loved it all the 5 years it has been done that way.

GG what quilt are you working on now?

Sunny here Ves, how about you?
Rachel....???

I have missed somebody I know.....should have taken notes and didn't.
Sorry.

A busy week ahead for me, I have to get a new show up in the gallery, must get out lighter clothes and pack since I leave on Sunday, Son and Ethan will be here on Friday night.....and here I sit at the computer!

I must tell you that Carole (Murmur) is a very good friend of mine. I don't think she will mind if I tell you that she is going through some rough times with her husband's illness right now. She has been a ray of sunshine for me throughout this past year, and is a wonderful lady. I hope you will stay with us, Carole.

You all have a good day....I'll be back later.

Pacifica, CA

i'll be back to yap but betty here is what i did with that lovely card :)

Liz, I absolutely love the frame..mini painting looks nice in it..how are you filling this unexpected day???

Shar, I do drop in on Murmur (Carole) to wish them the best..so nice to see her post..how exciting is that, flying to Florida..you'll have access to computer - won't have to spend all your days in a Public Library..smilling and lol...know someone who did that just to keep in touch..so, please post from time to time, no just being a beach bunny!

Ethan will want to travel south with you..good time to do it before he enters the school system..

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Oh, Betty...how funny, a beach bunny!! Not in this lifetime, and not with bird legs. Those legs no longer see the light of day!!

Not to mention the brillo pad that my hair will become!

You all are welcome to add your own visuals.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Shar, so funny..a visual I do have, looks nicer than the one you've just given me..lol

do you have someone picking up your mail???

We can't do without our Shar fix for 2 weeks so we'll be waiting patiently for a post...

Did you know???

Herbs of the Bible

There are numerous references in the Bible to a wide variety of herbs. Obviously, most of these herbs are well-suited to dry, desert-like conditions as one would find in the Middle East.

When researching the herbs to include in the Bible-themed herb garden, one may find different herbs referenced for the same verse. This inconsistency is due to the many different translations of the same verse. One translation may attempt to specifically identify an herb while another translation may refer to it more simply, as in "bitter herb." The list below was compiled by Jane Dole of Indiana, Pennsylvania.

Historically, herbs like spices, are rich in legend, fact, lore, romance and business. Wars have been fought, trade routes established, lives sold and cultures, countries and businesses founded, all in the name of the plants we call herbs. Below is a listing of herbs mentioned in the Bible or associated with the Christian religion.

Aloe (Aquilari agalloche) is believed to be the only tree descended to man from the Garden of Eden.

(Numbers 24:6) Like valleys that stretch afar, like gardens beside a river, like aloes that the Lord has planted, like cedar trees beside the waters.

Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) is referenced several times in the Old Testament.

(Exodus 16:31) Now the house of Israel called its name manna; it was like coriander seed, white and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

Cumin (Cuminum cyminum) is an herb native to the upper areas of the Nile, mentioned in the Bible, along with Mint (Mentha sp.), when Jesus reproved the scribes.

(Matthew 23:23) "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you tithe mint and dill and cumin and have neglected the weightier matters of the law, justice and mercy and faith; these you ought to have done, without neglecting the others."

Garlic (Allium sativum) is mentioned only once in the Bible. It was held in great esteem by the ancient Egyptians.

(Numbers 11:5) "We remember the fish we ate in Egypt for nothing, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions and the garlic."

Hyssop (Sorghum vulgare) is known as the holy herb. Hyssop was used to cleanse the temples and other sacred places of the Egyptians. David mentions hyssop in Psalms 51:7. Hyssop as we know it may or may not be the hyssop mentioned by David. There is some debate since the derivation of the name hyssop is in the Greek word hussopos and the Hebrew esob, meaning simply, "holy herb."

(Psalms 51:7) Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean; wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Mustard (Brassica nigra) is described in Matthew 13:31 as "the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof."

Rose (Rosa spp.) The name for a rose is almost the same in every European language. Dried roses have been found in Egyptian tombs.

(Isaiah 35:1) The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad, the desert shall rejoice and blossom; like the rose.

Rue (Ruta graveolens) has long been the symbol of sorrow and repentance and may have been nicknamed the "herb of grace" in Christian times for the grace given by God following repentance for one's sins. Brushes made from rue were once used to sprinkle holy water at the ceremony preceding High Mass.

(Luke 11:42) "But woe to you Pharisees! for you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God; these you ought to have done, without neglecting the others."

Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is frequently mentioned in Scripture, always for its bitterness. According to legend, wormwood grew up in the trail left by the serpent's tail as it slithered out of the Garden of Eden.

(Jeremiah 23:15) Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets: "Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and give them poisoned water to drink; for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has gone forth into all the land."

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is a symbol of fidelity and remembrance once used in the holiest of Christian ceremonies, the wedding and the funeral. For centuries people thought that the rosemary plant would never grow higher than 6 feet in 33 years so as not to stand taller than Christ.

Another story tells that the flowers were originally white, but changed to blue when the Virgin Mary hung her cloak on the bush while fleeing from Herod's soldiers with the Christ child.

Costmary (Chrysanthemem balsamita) is also known as Bible leaf because in Colonial times a leaf served as a bookmark in Bibles and prayer books. When drowsiness set in, the sleeper treated himself to the minty leaf to stay awake.

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) and Dill (Anethum graveolens) were carried to prayer meetings in Colonial times in small pouches. The seeds were used to curb the appetite. They were called "meeting seeds."

We should perhaps start our own 'Garden of Eden'..

Laura, hope DH is feeling better..good luck at your sewing class...We'll all want to see some 'pretties'

Lordy I AM SO BORED..picked up 3 cutting boards at $$$ store a few weeks ago so thought I'd bring them in to paint , then clients came in all day..everyone busy, busy but me..1/2 hr and I'm off..

Drove in myself today..bit of a mix up this morning about a meeting place..lol..ended up following the girls in...I keep feeling as though I'm ready to fall asleep, nodding/nodding off..so let's hope I stay awake..

Whewwww!!! I am so proud of myself! I put up 2 bathroom shelves and a new towel rack. I am really good with tools, but not so good with the level for some reason. Anyway, got one shelf up in each bathroom and new towel rack in guest b'room...and ALL ARE LEVEL!

Major accomplishment for me. I can do most any thing around the house, but keeping things level, such a silly thing, does not come easy.

Oh, these 2 little shelves, wood mind you, I got at the $$ store here...in a package of 2 for $5.
What a find. Perfect for little things, like when you take off jewelry, perfumes, etc. And I will paint to match the walls...or leave white, whichever I decide when I start painting. They come down easily so not a problem when painting.

OK off to the pharmacy for Rx.....careful going home Betty...it is about 50 here, a nice day.

edit: can't type.

Betty, please be careful on the way home...

Yayay Shar, happy you got them level...

Oh my goodness, I have been reading Murmurs prayer thread...I am so very sorry to hear all you have gone through Carole. I am still catching up but please know that I am praying for you and Steve as I go through and will continue.
I wish I would have realized sooner, I could have been there for you too.
...I am there now. LOL, guess i need to start lurking everywhere again. Prayers and hugs being sent to you.

Thank You Shar for telling us about Carole's husband.

Betty--

I think you should post the above Biblical references to Herbs on the "Herb Forum".
Those are very interesting.....Do you ever "lurk" on any other Forums???

I am almost tempted to c/p all your Post on the Mid Atlantic Forum (where I reside....) as so many people there are all nuts about herbs--and Jill seems to have one of everything to share.

Did you do all this Biblical research yourself, or did you find it somewhere else?

Thanks for the welcome (back) and the support. I won't post much about my husband on this thread, though - it is wonderfully upbeat and I sure don't want to change that!!!

UGGGG posted a novel, went to check on something and cyberspace - it's gone...

Nice drive home, snowing now but I think they've cancelled the weather warnings for the morning..calling for freezing rain Friday (much too far away to put an credance to that) but hope so, could use another 3 day weekend...

Maybe not, Jeff is coming up and we're all going out for supper (celebrate somebody's birthday) so if it does rain, let it be between 6am-10am and then temps rise so it melts...not asking for much am I...

Gita please feel free to post the info..I belong to another group and saw it this morning, asked if I could copy and they said it would be wonderful to do so..

Yes I do lurk other threads but YOU are all my favorites..almost family..lol

Noah and Melanie were only steps after me..Noah spent the $$$ I gave him for his birthday at Ikea in Toronto yesterday..purchased a wall table top desk and a chair..when not in use the table top sits against the wall...so, needed to be stained...so cute!

I would say that of the 4 grandchildren, Noah has my personality and mannerisms...not sure if that's good...he also wears his heart of his sleeve..that's bad...should have taken after someone else for that part..that will get him into trouble I'm sure...

Greg took Kyle to work. Kyle has a project due tomorrow..must make a cooler that can hold 6 popsicles AND keep them cold for at least 3 days...Greg does major design work for Hospitals all over Canada, Melanie and I were laughing, we're picturing Greg telling Kyle WHY he's doing things in the designing and building phaze, but Kyle is sure to end up with a cooler to speck, done in stainless steel, lid, lock etc. something you'd pay mega $$$ for in a specialty store....so we'll see just what this project will look like and who did most of it...

Must go next door and pick up a firealarm battery before I settle in and have my bath..a note from the painters today on the blackboard said I MUST put a battery in the craft room firealarm..they look after me as though I were 10...

So just incase when I get back, get myself settled in for the night I fall asleep relaxing, better do my post...

Best..received the nicest d-mail today..another overwhelming post of kind thoughts..made my day AND it wasn't even someone from this thread..lol

Worse..no worse,

What did I learn...they say the world is changing and not for the good, is that because everyone WANTS to think the worse about everyone else....I watch, I talk to different people, an observer lots of the time, and it seems that everyone WANTS to be nice and do things to make others happy..not sure why most people don't see that...hmmm

Victoria Harbour, ON

Murmur..you are welcome to post about DH..it's upbeat and sometimes downbeat...it's about the best and the worse..you are always welcome..so pleased dear hubby is gaining strength..I envy you the chance to live every moment in a different light ... now that you have seen how very quickly tragedy can happen, things will change for you..how wonderful!

Shar wanted to post how proud we are of you..it is amazing just how much talent we have that goes untapped...we're much more capable than we think we are...the whole object is to try..worse that can happen is you have to 'hire' that tradesman after all..and it might cost double..no, just kidding..lol

Gita, please copy and post where you think it would be appreciated...so glad you enjoyed
