Mitch, I have two of the palm trees showing pods, so there is a chance for seeds if I have to have two.

Candela, I hope that you had a very good birthday and that you had fun working in your yard yesterday. I can see that your orchid has not bloomed yet. I counted nine spikes, it is going to be beautiful. I can't wait to see it.
I went to the nursery on Thursday, and found these orchids that I carried in my basket for about half an hour. They were $40. I really wanted them, but I had to deside between that and two crotons, two calla lilys, small antherium and a ground orchid all for the price of the orchid. I only have a picture of her now.

Christmascactus, you always make me laugh out loud. I am keeping my eye out for your Siam Ruby banana plant , but so far no sign of life yet. I am looking forward to growing one as big as Texasbigleaves this year,( so keep your socks on ) maybe you will too.

RJ, I have learned quite a lot from you these last few months.that is another cool idea.
I am looking forward to pictures of your yard makeover, I like the idea of using rocks in the lanscape.
I planted my new plants yesterday, I hope that it does not look too orderly in the fall.
I am looking forward to a lush jungle.

Jeri, thank you for showing us your palm. I am looking forward to seeing blooms on mine. I have seen palms like yours in Dallas but never knew their name. I sure would like to get one, they are fantastic looking. Do you know the name of your palm tree?

Jeri, thank you . I was pleased to find out that they are hardy in my area . They are a little pricey for me, but was told to wait until spring for Home Depot to get them in when they will be a little more affordable.

I am trying to get a ID on this one. It is getting too big for the greenhouse, and would like to transplant it out in the yard if it is cold hardy.

Candela, It is always a treat to see pictures from your yard. I am especially excited about the bromeliad with the pink flowers. I think that I have one (I hope) I have a picture, can you verify if it is the same plant.

Candela , I sure would like for it to be a Queen Palm, but so far, I can not find anything on how hardy they are. I will keep looking.

P. S. I find that the older palms can survive if well established before a frost but the younger ones have problems!!!!
