Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - Sprng Training

This is my favorite and has been for years. They are a band out of Texas. I have the T-shirt and their CD's. You have to have an imagination and be hip to go here.

Victor - very funny. The pedestrian was my favorite part of it.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Victor - i love that!
i like the pedestrians too - but any part where the little circles grew mouths was pretty great. The bus part made me think of NYC...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

It's all great but I really love the coffee and the parking.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

The coffee reminded me of Starbucks.

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Well, Sherrie, I would never have guessed that you were "like that"! Not my cup of tea, though.

I am not like the cow but I am a farmer. What can I say :-)

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

ok, that was bizarre! funny - but bizarre!
And it should maybe have a content warning...

Victor - Bailey is one awesome dog, isn't he??!! That was so fun to watch! And Pirl - Harry is adorable!! Do Lhasas generally live a long time?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Mine have made it to 14 just like the Rough Collie (Lassie type) and the Border Collie.

Harry will be 11 this June.

I have forgotten what the average life span of a dog might be. I know it must differ according to breed. Our Sheltie is 14 years old, and I expect to wake up and find her not waking up.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

The life span does differ between breeds.

I hope your Sheltie holds on for a long time, Candyce. Shelties are lovely pets.

Pirl, my Lhasa made it to 13 years. She tried burrowing in the sand at every beach we visited, much like Bailey did in the snow. She has been gone a long time, and was the last dog I owned.

Harry just went (very reluctantly) to the beauty van for his monthly grooming. He looks so handsome when he's done.

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

He doesn't like getting groomed? Our Woody absolutely loved it - he would parade around after he got home, like he knew he looked good. My dh only had one instruction for the groomer - no ribbons on the collar!

Do you pay for the ribbon?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Harry is out with DH for his afternoon walk or I'd take a photo of him with his new blue ribbon. I like the holiday ones - Valentine's, St. Patrick's, etc. He hates when the groomer arrives but doesn't have to be dragged to the van so he's either a wimp or he doesn't want us to know how much he does like it.

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

No, you don't pay for the ribbon, but my dh (and his dog) were too macho for the ribbons!

Thanks for the Sheltie info.
(Guess I should prepare myself mentally)

She's a wonderful dog. She loves the snow, and loves to bury her nose in it when she's playing and toss it around. But, she's only done that a few times this year. She really hates to go outside into the cold now.

When she (and the DDs) were younger, she'd try to 'herd' them when she thought they were getting out of hand.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Candyce, love makes everything live longer than 'average'...im sure your Sheltie will live much longer than the average!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Candyce - our Collie, Mac, herded the local kids away from the carriage when my baby daughter made her debut on our porch. My son was trying to show her off to all his friends and that sleek nose came between the kids and the carriage - yes, I took a photo.

That herding instinct is so strong and so protective.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

it was really pretty at about 4:30am - sparkly...

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Love the snow, first time this season with a snow day.

Victor! How can you say "Hard to believe we're just weeks away from bulb season" Weeks - what are weeks? Try like 2 months - well up here anyways.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I wasn't going to say that, as it does apply to Victor....but I agree with you, it's months here!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

victor...reminds me of a scene from Dr. Zhivago. Before your time, of course.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I don't think he's in my hmo either!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)
