Pretty stressful day here. A cousin of mine went in for surgery yesterday for a couple things and had complications. Then he ripped out his breathing tube so they had to send him back in to get that fixed. So it was a long night last night after finding out about that and today I have been worried about him. I think he's finally in ICU so he should be on the road to getting better quickly now.

Got an update few minutes ago. He is doing better and will be released on Monday if nothing goes wrong.

Anybody see the news about the shooting at NIU? I don't think I know anybody there, but you never know. I know our former neighbors son lives in the area and she said something about him going to school, so I don't know. 5 females killed and the shooter died from a self inflicted wound. Crazy dang people.

I first saw a scroll at the bottom of the screen at 4pm. Bad, very very bad. Wow. A man died. 8 others transfered to other hospitals. 6 people dead. This way too close for comfort. My niece is up there at DePaul, which is in Chicago, but this is close, too close.

HA! We just got our friend to fix ours! LOL The hard drive died, so he got us a 300 gig and replaced it. He said it was a PAIN cause it is all crammed in there together! LOL

When Pau was in the hospital for a week back in October, 1997 following a wreck, he pulled out his IV about 3 times. Also, threw a towel at the nurse and hit her in the back of the head as she was walking out the door--also climbed out of the bed and used the trash can for a toilet!!!! The pain killer that they were giving him made him crazy--obviously!!! It's funny now, but it wasn't at the time.

it seemed like we were getting somewhere, but then her screen went dark and she can't figure out why, so she hit the restart button. (it's a laptop. i think it just went to sleep, but who knows.) now she is mad again. GGGGggggrrrrr.

My cuz is doing good. Breathing on his own now though he has been sleeping alot according to his wife.

They live several hours from here so I have to depend on emails and phone calls to keep updated.

I heard about the shooting at about 11 last night, should have been in bed, but was too busy ranting and raving over the phone about my mother. Shootings like that are such a shame, and such a waste.

Why was I ranting about my mother you ask (or even if you don't) ... seems she has decided to marry that creep :(((( I really hope my son misunderstood what he was hearing on the phone. She hasn't said a word about it to my sister or me. My sis said maybe she is doing it so she doesn't have to testify against him (which is about the stupidest reason for marrying someone I can think of). I asked my sister how to get her declared incompetent. Wasn't really joking about it. Geez. Its worse than raising a teenager :((( I just don't know what to do anymore with her..... I mean... she is 55 years old, you would think she knows better... she told me before she didn't want to marry him, so I'm not sure what she is thinking.

Finally got an at least partial diagnosis on my Brother in law. He has some thing called immune neuropathy with vasculitis. The vasculitis makes the immune neuropathy progress much faster. I have to do some research on it today, cause I have no idea what any of it means. He is in really bad shape, isn't even going in to work hardly at all ( he and another guy own the business, and my sister trained to do his job so she works for him, but he was going with her in the beginning). Jennee says all he does is sleep, which isn't surprising, as he is on methadone and oxycontin for the pain :((( I really hope that they can at least get him to where he doesn't get any worse.... seems that this is a rapidly progressing thing, and if he keeps going down hill like he has, I'm afraid he won't be with us long. He is only 33, with kids daughters ages 11, 9, 7, and 3, and a 3 yr old son. (the babies are twins). Probably ought to post in the prayer thread.... I dunno :( It just breaks my heart. There is just nothing I can do for them.

My Bubby's temp was 102 again last night, poor baby, all he wanted was mommy, so Mike slept on the couch so he could be in bed with me. He didn't even wake up when my alarm went off. I need to wake him up, cause I know he has a temp, but I'm waiting til the girls go to school so maybe I can get him back to sleep. My throat is sore now too, so it probably is strep. Thank goodness for good neighbors, Raymond is taking the girls to the bus stop for me.

Raymond also came over last night when the drain on my sink decided to take a hike... LOL Had a river running across my kitchen floor, the drain came apart. :( What a mess. Mike brought me plumbing supplies home from Lowes, and said "Happy Valentines Day" LOL I told him last night that was the best gift I had ever gotten LOLOL.

I got to go yell at the girls, they have 15 minutes to get out the door and aren't even dressed, they are too busy arguing.... (AURGH!!) Anyone want a couple really cute little girls?? LOL

That is not good. I will add him to my prayers. I sure wish life would hurry up and slow down so I can get caught up. It is spring here we have been in the 70's and I have so much to plant right now. I have lots of things popping up. It should start to get interesting in my pop up garden.

That is what the SW forum calls it. I am an add gardener and I never remember where or what I planted and once things start to bloom I will have to post pictures and then ask what it was I planted. It is like this because my Dh thinks I have more than enough plants and I have gone to sneaking bulbs in everywhere!
