Stop and visit, talk all you want.

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

OOPSS!!!! I hit the wrong button..lol.
Anyway...this will be short. Huggs to all...and I am reading. So sorry about the tornadoes! We had one touch down just south of us that night. No one hurt...did some damage to a house though.
You all take care.!!!!

(Zone 7a)

Everyone is way too quiet. We need some chattering! The weekend is here so I guess everbody will be busy. Not me. I'll just be resting up for next week.

It's cold but not that cold. No snow for a minute but more is on the way soon. I just don't know when.

(Zone 7a)

Good day, all. Everyone doing well, I hope. It's cloudy and 40º. No snow expected for a few days.

I've spent the morning drinking coffee and relaxing, not doing much of anything.

I spoke to my brother in Oregon. He's doing well. He had a cold for the last week but he's much better now. He was watching "Little Miss Sunshine" last night and enjoyed quite a bit. We both like the movies of Quentin Tarantino, so we discussed those for awhile.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Hi, everybody. I didn't realize it was so late--it's afternoon already. I've spent a lazy day, too, Celia. Watching some TV, browsing around on DG, playing Free Cell on the computer, drinking coffee, etc. I thought I had posted on here already today, but I guess it was on another thread. Heading up to 60º today and sun is shining. Pau and I are going to have supper with some friends at their house late this afternoon. I'm taking cheesy scalloped potatoes.

Glad to hear your brother in Oregon is doing well, Celia. It's nice that you two can have a conversation on the phone. My brother lives in California but he is one of those types who talks in one syllable: "Yep" "Nope"---you get the picture. It's hard to carry on a conversation with someone like that but he has been that way as long as I have known him (which is all of my life since he is 4 years older than I). LOL

You all have a nice afternoon.

Mau

(Zone 7a)

My brother in S. Dakota talks the same way! LOL Remember the "separated at birth" crack? Seriously. I have two brothers I can talk to on the phone. One will talk a few minutes and then he's off. But the SD bro? 30 seconds. Period.

We had lunch with two brothers today. They were picking up TV that one had left at our house. His daughter's TV went out a few weeks ago.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Just a quick hello to everyone! I am here, but mainly trying to read to stay caught up! LOL I just put a big turkey in the oven! :) It is gonna get BRRRRRRR cold again, so I thought it would be nice to use the oven for some heat, then get a nice, and hopefully juicy, turkey later! :)

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Been in and out today. Was out shopping while the weather was nice for most of the day then doing a few things around the house. Now getting ready to go out for Mexican for dinner. :~)

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

Sorry I haven't been here, been busy, but been trying to keep up :) Got my car back yesterday, and got my new tattoo today!

Mike took the pic, I'll try to get better ones tomorrow... and yes, it hurts as bad as it looks LOL Back of your neck is really sensitive :))

Hugs to all.. miss you bunches!!!!

We miss you, too, Janis but we know you been busy. It looks just fine if you don't open the pic.

Waving "HELLO" to everybody! LOL And good morning. Was up early today. The cats were out of food and I had to hit the store. They can't seem to understand that they ARE NOT going to starve before their next meal.

The sun is out again today. They said it's going to be in the 40's. Funny. When I was a kid in SoCal, I thought I was going to freeze to death if the temps got down to 60º. Now, if it's going UP to 40º, that's warm! Go figure.

(Zone 7a)

It's been a quiet weekend, here and at home. DH has been gone for a few hours at his mom's. We got her a new home phone and he took it to her to show her how it works. She's hard of hearing so the one we got her is extra loud both in the receiver and ringing.

Guess I'll check back in a little while to see if anyone else is here.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I will try to be on tonite.

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Morning all. Sorry I am so behind on what is going on in everyone's life. I did not have time to catch up this weekend. My daughter's dance troupe had a bake sale Saturday and betweent hat and cleaning out the garden (it was in the 70's Saturday and Sunday) oh and sick kids I have not had a lot of time to be online.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning, all!! waving to you all.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(does that look like a proper wave for a princess, Tammy?)

It looks like everyone except Celia, played "hooky" yesterday. LOL

I went to church and afterwards Pau and I went to Wal-Mart and did our grocery shopping.
I had to rearrange the pantry when we got home so I could get all the canned goods in there without collapsing the shelves. I don't like to put a lot of heavy stuff in the middle section of the shelves because they tend to sag when you do that. I had to move things around. Canned goods to the ends of the shelves, boxes and lighter stuff in the middle. Now my pantry is organized--for a while, at least. ☺☺☺

The sun is shining today but it is cold--got down into the 20's last night. BRRR. We have 40% chance of rain tonight and 60% chance tomorrow. The northern tier of counties here in Arkansas have a winter storm warning right now. They are getting snow and/or sleet, I suppose. This will hamper the tornado clean-up efforts.
I heard on the news that the tornado that did so much damage in Arkansas was on the ground for 123 miles! It set a new record for our state. :o((

Janis, from the photo, your memorial tattoo for Baby Brian looks as if it turned out the way you were hoping. I hope it heals soon!

I'll check back in later to see how everyone is doing.

Mau

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

We cross-posted, Marie. I am envious of your 70º weather, although we did have a nice day on Saturday. Hope the bake sale was successful and also that your sick kids are better now. My 7 yr. old DGS has had the flu :o(( but I think he went back to school today.☺☺☺

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

My 5 year old is down with the fever and body aches now.
Our bake sale went pretty well I think. It has been a long time since I had to do anything like this and it was fun. My daughter was exhausted as she danced almost the entire day!!

Sorry about your weather. I hope we stay warm now as I am more than ready for Spring.

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Good morning all! Oh how I envy you the warm weather! I talked to my daughter in Florida last evening, and they were just getting ready to grill out. She said the doors and windows were open, and it was nice and sunny...and 70 degrees! It had been up to 75 earlier! We had just pulled into Bob Evans restaurant, and it was windy and freezing! Was only 13 degrees when we left the house!! Was only 8 this morning!!! Okkkkkk...ENOUGH!!!!!!
Sorry....had to complain!!
Just wanted to say a big HI to all. I am reading...but gosh, it is the pitts trying to type on this thinhg!
I hope youall keep warm today....and enjoy your day!!!

(Zone 7a)

Good morning, everyone. I want 70º! Waaaa! Our temps did get to 50º yesterday, though.

Anyway. Marie, sorry your boy is sick.

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

I must be stuck in the cold zone. It was -5º over night Sat into Sun, yesterday (Sun.) it didn't get above 2º. Last night was -2º. It's supposed to snow this afternoon into tomorrow sometime. Not a lot of snow, but 2" is what they're calling for. It's currently 5º. Anyone want to come and visit? Anyone?? It's overcast also. Yeehaw! Spring? Not for a long time I'm afraid.

Marie, sorry your son is sick.

Janis, I agree with Mau that your tattoo looks like you wanted it and for that, I am glad.

I got the floor upstairs all mopped and my new rug down. I just need to run out to the office to get my computer and my dad needs to put the wireless thing on it. Or in the tower, however it is that it goes. I bought a better type of pad for under the rug. It's weird on the top. It almost feels like it's made out of wool itself. And of course it was too big, so I tried cutting it, couldn't do it, so my husband did it. Not exactly straight, but it doesn't show anyway☺ My foot is healing. It hurts somewhat on the middle top of the foot and around the big toe nail. My stomach is feeling better and my head no longer hurts. Mild flu and the flu shot helped? I don't know. Otherwise, I don't know much LOL

(Zone 7a)

I feel bad for you, too, Terry. The foot is getting better, yes? And you're right. If it's UNDER the rug, who cares? I forgot you were sick, too.

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

Yes Celia, sitting doing nothing but having my foot propped up for 4 or 5 days, helped it a lot. I would get up, but found that staying on it for too long (5 minutes), it just got to throbbing, so back in the chair I went and put my foot up. If this was summer, I don't think I would of done so well!

I forgot. . . everybody knows that pine is soft. Being on a floor, makes it no better than if an end table. What I didn't realize, was us rolling our big old T.V. we hauled upstairs, make and forth and back and forth, would make such dents in the floor. Ooops. . . anybody know how to fix them? I remember something about using an iron to lift the wood, but other than that, I don't remember.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hi all!
Mau, perfect wave for a Princess! :)
It is cold and nasty here! We had to get out in it this morning and it took us about 35 minutes to go about 10 miles, and worse on the way home!!!
Marie, you just have the worst luck with kids being sick! :( I am glad my baby is FINALLY better, and now there is no school tomorrow for her. :(
Terry, hope your foot is getting much better!
Celia, are you behaving yourself? :)
Janis, hows the tattoo healing?
NOW, did I miss anyone!?!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Hey Princess whatta bout me?? I was the first to make a post asking about the ice!! :~p lol

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS Sorry Amanda! :(

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL. I was just teasing you. That was pretty funny that you forgot me. That really cracks me up right now. LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

I knew I had to be forgetting someone, though! Didn't mean to, which is why I had to ask! :)

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL. But it allowed me to be all dramatic though! So really it was great fun! LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Yes it did! HE HE HE

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

It's out!! I didn't blunder, but it's out there for me to use now. Thanks Tammy. . .and HI AMANDA!!! LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hi Terry! Night Terry! :)
Night all, gonna go snuggle up in the blankies and get warm! :)

(Zone 7a)

HELLLLOOOOOOO!!!!

I ALWAYS forget someone so I never name names anymore! LOL

No, Tammy, I am NOT behaving myself. You know better! LOL

Terry, you can put water on it and use a warm iron to lift the dents but if it's varnished, I don't know how well that would work. I've used this on unvarnished wood and it works like a charm!

Everyone appears well, so I'll say good night...sleep well, stay warm, be good, and be happy.

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

It's not varnished, it's polyed. Oil polyurethane. Same thing? I'm thinking I heard it years ago on HGTV. They were at that old house somewhere east (that really narrowed it down, huh?). The guy who helped take care of this mansion was showing a trick if you have dings and dents in the floor. I'm positive the floor wasn't raw wood, that it was finished. I remember him with something, a towel maybe? and an iron and lifting that dent in the wood floor right up. Somebody say the name of the mansion and with that, I'll know. It's just not in there up front right now LOL

♫It's snowing, it's snowing♫

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

I forgot to say....Good Morning Everyone!

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Good morning all.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning, all! And I think I will have to go with Celia on not mentioning names cause now I remember I missed Marcy! Shame on me!!!
So, good morning EVERYONE! :) It is still icy here. YUCK!

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

It;s ok Tammy...I am invisible...doncha know?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

OHHHHHH I wish I could do that, Marcy! :)

(Zone 7a)

Good morning, everyone!!!!!!

Supposed to snow a little this afternoon but nothing special, I'm thinking.

Everybody good?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Morning, Celia! Cold, but good! :)

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

Morning all :)) We have about 4 inches of the nasty white stuff, started falling about 8 PM last night, not sure when it stopped, cause it wasn't snowing at 6:30 AM when Mike left for work. I got up with him to check for school delays, and found we had been canceled, so I crawled back in my bed and slept :)) According to the news, we are supposed to get another 4-6 inches today, so possibly no school again tomorrow. Wait and see. The radar shows us having snow right now, but none here yet.

Terry, I missed that you were sick, hope you are feeling better.

Marcy, hope you get your computer back soon.. I am looking at laptops, and you are scaring me away from them LOL

Not much new here, trying to keep the house in order (impossible with the kids home LOL) and trying to stay warm. Have to make boxes for the kids parties at school Thursday, not looking forward to that, maybe when they come in from playing outside.

Well, I know I missed alot of you, but I'm not reading back through to find everything I missed LOL

Hugs to all
Janis

(Zone 7a)

Hi, Tammy! Been awhile. Things have been weird around here. Quiet, I mean. This must be what it will be like in the spring when everyone's busy outside. Me, included. I noticed yesterday taht the "Umbrella trees" Were beginning to show a tinge of green. Yea! That's my indicator for spring.
