I'm sure you do ! hee hee

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Hmmmmmm.

Wallingford's cat club for manly cats just hit 100 members! I'm so proud of him.

Note to self: Get a life!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Congrats!

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

AYC: ROFLMAO !!!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

I'm with AYC. We all need to get a life. I have spent the morning coaxing my cats to pose for a glamour shot for Wallingford's club. I wouldn't admit this to many people, but there you have it.

Edit: 'cause I can't spell AYC.

Note to self: See if there is bulk pricing on lives.

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL LOL LOL !!!

Someone should start a co-op for "lives"...I'm so in.

O.K. Ive been building my life for some 30 years now. Ive got a few prototypes Ive discarded ---- for sale cheap. Might even trade for seeds.

Yonkers, NY(Zone 5b)

I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

i'm still trying to figure out if i will ever feel like a grown up. i keep forgetting how old i am - then i remember and it is such an unpleasant surprise...

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

I think we've all got Seasonal Affective Disorder...

When I sit on my rocking chair I don't know if it's doing the creaking or I am.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Mike - you cannot get that in CA! When did this thread turn depressing? To quote the Joker (Jack) - 'This thread needs an enema!!'

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Au contraire Victor ! I think 3/4 of this state's population get's it when we have these "severe winters" !

Forgot about Jack's famous quote...that IS a good one !

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Hey, Pirl...we must have the same rocker. Mine creaks too.
JD, you are cordially invited to spend a winter in KY.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - 'severe winter' in CA does not have the same impact as in say, Wisconsin, Maine or even KY!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Victor, your words remind me of something I thought last fall. In September I spent a couple of wonderful weeks exploring Massachusetts, Vermont, and Connecticut just as the fall color was beginning. It was glorious. I returned to KY where it was still richly green in October. Our leaves did not begin to turn until early November. At the time, I thought ....Ahhhh how beautiful, I have seen two gorgeous falls this year.

I haven't had the beauty of your snowfalls, but I did have an ice storm last week. See what you are missing, JD? Anybody interested in an early spring? Daffs are ready to bloom.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, count me in.

Ohhhh - put a live cam in so we can watch 24/7, like that one in Africa.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Wouldn't that be a great idea? We could have live cams from many gardens throughout the USA and Canada to let us see what's happening.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I bet there are some. Probably from all over the world.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

It does give me that Big Brother feeling to think about it.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

I'm closing my curtains, just in case.
But I will take a photo or two, just gimme a while.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

oooh. i want one. Maybe i could find out who steals all my (theoretically) groundhog repelling pinwheels! And i could have vidoe of the wild dogs that the Animal Control people never seem to see...
But i don't think i want it running when i am out there!

You can buy a cam with a good program - I think. I used to have Logitech and had it set up where it would only turn on "IF" there was movement. There is many, many ways you can set the cam up for intervels.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

OK...just outside, whoohooooo...a balmy 60, daffs in bud, pansies in bloom, TULIPS up, IRIS up, and best of all...Daylilies look great. I'm excited. Now I have a life again!
Maybe I'll post pictures later this evening.....going to Walmart to look at roses. No video cams for me, but that would be fun to see everybody's garden.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I made it outside the front door and before it was closed I felt as though I was frozen already. So I checked the rose I was curious about and hurried back inside feeling very much like the groundhog.

Nice bug's eye view!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I used a bug's eye lense.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Good thing there were no frogs around.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

That is how I lost the last one - this is a replacement lense.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Nancy, we MUST be related!

Reading further, let's see... socks. Some time ago, I used to have a sock box where I put all my matched socks in no particular order. Tights went in the same box. Somehow the box got lost and now I hunt for a pair either from the floor or in the laundry room. Clean ones don't have a permanent home yet. I don't wear shirts that have to be ironed, so no concerns about the left/right or whatever way I hang them facing in the closet. I hardly use my closet anyway. The closet is for "nice" clothes, of which I have few, so there's a handful of dresses and skirts that are covered with dust. Sometimes my clothes make it into the drawers neatly folded. Usually, I just get dressed in front of the dryer.

Gee, I have got to be the laziest person in this forum. I'm happy though. There must be something said for that.

Yonkers, NY(Zone 5b)

I'm lazy too.
My every day clothes (usually sweat pants/shirt) very often end up on the chest at the foot of the bed. If they're dirty, they go into the hamper.
I have dressed in front of the dryer too. I'll go downstairs in my robe with the laundry, eat breakfast while the washer/dryer is going. When it's done, off comes the robe on go the clothes.

I don't have any "ironables" either. The tag has to say "machine wash/tumble dry" or I won't buy it.

I have, on occasion, tossed my nightgown in the dryer on a chilly evening just to warm it up.
LOL!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

WooHoo! Nancy, it's nice to have company.

Walk in closet. I have my dungarees and t-shirts and a few sweat shirts. They come out of the dryer and get hung up. The clothes hangers do go in the same direction along with the clothes. All garments are white and the same brand. All the socks get shoved into one drawer and not folded. I just pick 2 out and they always match. Can do it blind folded.

If I get filthy they go in a basket. If not filthy they go on the floor or get draped over the dresser, till morning. My cash stays in my front pocket. Change will go in a bottle. Except I keep 3 quarters, 2 dimes, 1 nickel and 4 pennies on me all the time (when dressed). That way you buy something you can alway's make change and get no change back.

My throw on sweaters is a totally different story. Went to an auction back in the 90's and bought a lot of 100% (made in the USA) black cotton cardigan sweaters - cheap. They might get washed once or twice and then thrown away. A new one comes out. I have a supply for another 10 or more years.

I have one wool coat that can't be machine washed. I do have nice clothes but no desire to wear or wash them. Nor do I go anywhere that I have to wear them.

The sweaters -

gabagoo, sofonisba: Can I join your club? I never iron. I don't have a dryer at present that works. It would be handy though getting dressed on a cold morning. I wash the clothes, hang on hangers, and put the hangers out side on the line.

Ready to wear. Pret a porter!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Look what I started! I have everyone airing their dirty laundry!

Airing is better than wearing ............
