Waxahachie Plant Party - trade page

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

pb, i'm tired of plants...temporarily...so i'm not asking for nor am i offering much to anyone. so if there is something particular lmk as i don't plan on bringing but just a few things. now my mind could change but it hasn't yet. if i had to get a bunch of stuff together i don't think i would even come which dawn doesn't know but i am considering staying home. lol.

i got the peach trombone phygelius that i can swap you for your coral one. also, got phygelius sunshine, devil's tears, moonglow or some such that i forget. if you are agreeable let's just swap after we get home from CS.

you don't need to bring me anything to college station. we can meet up later if you want to either at your place or mine. it would be so much easier than lugging all this stuff down there and back. what do you say?

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

PB you got 2 homesteads sure that is all ya want LOL I have the purple sweet bell peppers and Illinois beauty toms too LOL told DH today if I don't find homes for them all we are planting them so he better be ready for lots of tom. this year LOL

as to what color or kind I want ...hahahaha...have no idea, I'm not doing any gardens by color yet am just trying to get some color around the place with flowers LOL

wisteria vines ....sure I've been out in the yard looking to see if I can find any running along the ground to pull up but from the looks of it DH has gotten it all unless I find them springing up some leaves from the ground and dig down to the roots to find them LOL...but only if you have time

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

So mama are you coming to Wax? Dont forget I have your two grass for ya - they did not get blown away like some things.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

mitch, i am not sure about waxahachie. i have to take both my kids that morning for physicals that they need for school next year. i plan on getting there early but don't know how long it will take. i am thinking though that we will still come in the afternoon.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Good to hear it - would hate to miss ya.

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Me too! You better be there Mama!

Fort Worth, TX

pbtxlady, can I have a ruellia or an echinacea or a red trop hibiscus?

Fort Worth, TX

TJ, can I have a Winged Loosestrife or 2? what would you want?

Fort Worth, TX

Ok here's what I know I am giving:
Josephine: fennel & dill
Mibus2: fennel
Sheila: fennel & dill
Broncbuster: fennel & dill (& parsley?)
PBTXLady: rabbit poop and cosmos

I am adding bachelor buttons and parsley to my "have" list. Plenty of parsley came up for my bunnies so I can trade some if anyone wants it.

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Sure thing, Blues! Any herbs would be appreciated. I'll mark you down for two, let me know if you want more.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Blues, you can have all three if you want. You read what I said about the ruellia, right? I'll be glad to bring you the red hib, but it won't be rooted. I'll start it tomorrow, but it seems to be kinda slow.

Barb, what do you MEAN you're tired of plants? Hey, listen, I think you need some mums. :)

Sure, we can meet up around here sometime to exchange plants. Remember, though, that my little phygelius won't be big enough to divide until fall at the soonest. They just sent me a little bitty start.

Did I mention that your little paprika is budded too? I can't wait to see it bloom.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

glad to hear the paprika is doing good. i might have another yarrow or two but have to wait to see the bloom and when they bloom.

that''s fine on the phygelius. maybe by fall i will care again. lol. if yours branches out pretty good you could prob. root some cuttings fairly easily. don't know if you looked it up but peach trombone is only about 2 ft. tall. and by the way where did you get your phygelius? i got mine from sweet nectar and they are pretty good size. all 4 that i got.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Barbara, I think you are burned out from the mum co-op, Please come and be with us.
Remember I have those two antique mums for you.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

josephine i just wrote charlenesplants a long list of "why i can't comes". lol. but you are right the biggest thing of all is that i am burned out. i neglected so much of my own life for almost 3 wks. and have become exhausted trying to catch up this week and would have made it if the rain hadn't started. and now just thinking about that long drive to CS with wild dawn driving is not sounding good. don't let her tell you that that's not true. and besides that she wants to leave at 5 am. what kind'a time is that? lol. and the "jack" part of mamajack is in trouble. he has heavy duty discipline involving chores that will need to be supervised from start to finish. now it may be that i change my mind but i wanted to elicit as much sympathy as possible in case i don't.

by the way, does anyone know if the davester is going to college station? i have a plant coming from wash. state that someone sent me to give to him.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

I wanted that Croftway Coral Princess hybrid, so I ordered it from Big Dipper. No one else had it. Since then, several places have acquired it. I doubt they're any bigger, though.

I'm starting to think that ordering plants is a really bad idea. My original one came from Calloway's. It was 4 times the size for the same price. That seems to be true for just about everything I've ordered.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I haven't heard anything about Dave attending the CS swap, but since it is right there i suppose he will.
If you decide not to go, then you can get your plants at Waxahachie.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

HEY MAMA....if ya don't come who is gonna help me hijack a bus...ya know Speed???? LOL and just remember PMS PIE is gonna be there too *S*

and IF he (dave) isn't there I can get it to him he is suppose to come my way for some bamboo for something.

Fort Worth, TX

Thanks PBTXLADY! That sounds great what would you want of mine?

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Aren't you the one who brought the rabbit poop last fall? I can always use more of that! Or, if you have any of the cosmos still, they're one of my favorites.

Fort Worth, TX

I have 3 rabbit poop suppliers, Edgar, Aretha and King. LOL Sure you can have some poop and cosmos!

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks!

Magnolia, TX(Zone 8b)

So far, I have Wedelia, Golden Rain trees, B & B salvia, polka dot plant, pink buttons.
Will have a better inventory after I ck the yard again.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

i've been talking to dave about this camellia i have of his. mibus is taking this plant to her house for dave to pick up. but in talking about this plant dave asked for some brugs. DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY BRUG CUTTINGS FOR DAVE? if you do can you bring them for mibus to take to him. is that o.k. mibus? lol.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Smockette, you going to be there?

Someone mentioned ash trees above- I have several about 5 feet tall- should I bring them?

Rj

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

sure it is fine not a problem at all.

Smockette the golden rain trees are those also called Golden Chain Trees?

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Polka dot plant and Wedelia - Smockette would love a little.. dmail me and we can work out a trade.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

does anyone have brug cuttings for dave?

Magnolia, TX(Zone 8b)

Randy, yes, I will be there.

Mibus, no! I have seen those Golden Chain trees & they are definitely different! Golden Rain turns golden in the fall, the whole tree & Golden Chain has strings, 'chain', of blooms. I'd take one of those if there was an extra! lol

Mitch, 10-4.

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Haven't posted a list. By Friday afternoon will be potting as much of anything I can that anyone may like to have. Not terribly concerned with a trade. Whatever I have is a give away. Do have hoja santa for Sheila and DdeTex. He isn't coming I am going to mail it. Just now getting large enough that I feel comfortable that they will make it.

Christi

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

what kind of brug cuttings?
wish I had a truck, I have full grown trees to give away

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Randy, if you can hang on to those until the weekend of May 17th and 18th, I'm coming to Magnolia for a crawfish boil and I can bring them back with me for whoever wants them.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Okay, there will be some here. I'm giving more to Jeanne, but there will still be some left over after that.

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

What a happy condition, to have too many brugs. I am praying that I may have at least one bloom this year.

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Okie doke, Randy, 'bout how many should I plan for and who's wants em? I can also run some plants to Randy when I go if anyone wants to send him somethin'.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Christi wants at least 1 large one...I'm not sure who else wants them...someone named Dave wanted some cuttings...and I said how about a tree?

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

RJ - you are just to sweet - do you know that to sweet.

Nevada, TX(Zone 8a)

Finally posted some trades. Better late than never, ☺

Yes the brugs were asked for ...for Dave as I am picking up a plant that mama has for him to bring back with me to give to him when he comes for bamboo roots.

I would love a few more I only have one and no idea what color it is until it blooms LOL

my list is above but not sure anyone really needs veggies now :(
