Waxahachie Plant Party - trade page

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I grew mine from seeds--they are white, cream, pink, I have gold/yellow one that aren't quite so big, no foofy name for them

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

dave wasn't particular about the type or color of brug. he has none at the moment and any will do. if anybody has some tropicals or dwarf crape myrtles for him he also mentioned wanting those. mibus, we might better get that greyhound for sure. lol.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

okay.. so how about if Dave, Christi and Phyllis split them up.
I'm bringing Christi some that will fit in the suv this weekend.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Fine by me RJ as long as I get your autograph you movie star you LOL

Mama I am thinking I need a bigger car or I open the sun roof and have stuff sticking out it with trash bags on it to protect it ..oh wait I can tie DH on top so I have room in the car and truck ...LMAO

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

LOL..I forgot about that...I'll carve it on a brug trunk!

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

LOL ok

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

But TJ will not be picking them up for another month so they will not be at the swap - right RJ or am I miss understanding?

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

RJ is going to be at LouC's this coming weekend last I knew so he was coming to Broncs unless something changed

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

RJ is not bringing the big ones with him, TJ is heading down there in post Post #4813907 on the 17th and 18th of May and will bring the big brugs back then. The small ones he is bringing if I understood right are all ready spoken for.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Mitch, were you able to find your Dr. Seuss after the storm? I'm still looking for a cutting from that one.

Does anyone have any oxblood lilies?

Nevada, TX(Zone 8a)

Patti, got your oxbloods.

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

I have lots of room in the beds to fill up. Even having one extended.I love both the before and after, RJ. One question I have never seen, how long do the brugs bloom?

Christi

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Dawn, are you sure? You're already sharing a lot with me, and I don't have much for you.

Nevada, TX(Zone 8a)

Not a problem, trust me. ☺

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Does anybody want the red Canna bulbs that I dug up and put in a bag in the garage last month? I'm guessing they're still good?

Carla

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Bring 'em, Carla. Someone will take them.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, you & Barbara will have to give me a month or two, and then come over and see what I have that you might want. Hey, we need to go to Monday's anyway.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Yes, Mitch is right..the large ones won't be in DFW until May when TJ comes and picks them up.

pbtxlady
I'll bring you a cutting of Dr. Seuss if you want. Matter of fact the tree needs to be trimmed, so I'll just bring up several in case anyone else wants some.

Rj

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Aw, thanks, Randy! Mitch was planning to bring me one, but he got hit pretty bad by that storm. :(

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

No problem...I'd rather bring them up and share than throw them in the mulch bin, which does happen alot!

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Another thing that I have tons of is Night blooming Jasmine -Cestrum nocturnum
should I bring some?

and..not sure if they grow there...but
Loquat Tree

anything that is good that you would normally tos in the mulch bin you should be putting in pots for trades LOL.....
I have a green house that only has my plumerias and the extra tomato and pepper plants in it now so I could take some of your extras that no one wants and get them going in pots to share with others.

A gal came this evening and dug some bamboo roots and she has been to DG site but not a paid member but I was talking it up to her and about the Texas forum area ..she has I think she said about 11 acres in chapel hill.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

okay..good enough...my suv will be packed...have some bamboo too.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

rj, loquat stays evergreen here but i don't think we will ever see fruit if they are outside. at least that is what one texas gardener told me on the fruit. i have some plants that are about a foot tall. they remained evergreen all thru the winter.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Yes...they are ever green...the trees here are yellow with fruit...as they start getting ripe around feb/mar. at least it's a nice tree that stays green!

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

oh I do not want bamboo I want to get rid of what I have thanks LOL..I can share with you though LOL

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I like some bamboo... I'm choosey though...I have black bamboo and yellow..those are the first two I've aquired...they are not very big yet though.
I think I got this extra bamboo from zone9...can't remember what it is..I'll leave the bamboo behind then..I can tell space is a premium now..I think my auto is overbooked..lol

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

I have a loquat that is taller than my house now. It grows really fast. This year there is fruit about the size of a large marble. Hasn't changed color yet. Still green. I have trimmed mine up like a tree. Didn't want a bush. I love it.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

pbtlady - If Rj will bring you DR S. then I will bring you a cuttings of one I am for sure - I found all the Brugs but some of the labels are off and I will have to wait for them to bloom again to see!

Rj - I have a small golden temple bamboo I can bring you - it needs to go it cannot stay here!

Any one else for Iris - Ox eye daisy - Midnight Salvia - Trans. Salvia - Pink Running rose - Spearmint -

Let me know now - I am digging today!

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Mitch, bring what you can and I'll find good homes for whatever nobody takes. Just 2 more days!!!

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I know!! I have been digging all morning and I have just the Iris done - 4 bags one for you one for Christi, one for Mibus, and one for Shelia. I have you 3 types of mint in yours, with a lolipop lily, some lyre leaf sage, and who knows what else I will find.

I have mamajacks pampas grass dug and cut and in some water (trimmed them down like they said to)

pbtxlady - I have you 2 diffrent rooted cuttings - Jamacian yellow and I forget... its name is in there, and the columbine, and four big log cuttings from what is Dr S or Versicolor Peach... nots sure what one but with RJ bringing you a Dr S for you you will have plenty.

RJ I am bringing you the Yellow Temple bamboo... I hope you want it! working on getting it dug out now. It is a slow grower here at least... but I give it NO extra water at all.

Josephine - I have nothing for you dear - is there something you would like? (Of what I have left!)

DMJ - I have your sumac at Tjs place already, I did have to trim it down to get it in the pot but I hope (TJ it is right) it is looking good.

I am running out of pots and bags.... so will be stopping here soon.

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Looks just like it did when you gave it to me.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Good - it only grows here at least in the spring flush - it had that already so it is dose not lose the leaves it has then we are fine.

Sylvia - I have your big bamboo ready to go

Christi - I have your butterfly bush

TJ - can you use some crinums - I dug you out 4 but if you cannot then will need to find them homes.

Is there anything that I am missing?

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

YES! The ones you gave me last year turne to mush. I wonder if I over watered them? I had them in almost full sun, in a dry place, so I watered them quite a bit.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I would guess so - they like water but love to dry between waterings... Good you ahve four crinums, two types of mint - spear and orange, a big bag of named Iris, and lyre leaf sage - anything I am missing for you TJ?

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Heck, I don't know! What I do know is that DG has some of the most generous folks in the world and you're at the TOP of the list!

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I am just trying to get you all everything I can LMK if you - or anything can think of anything else you all might want!

Fort Worth, TX

Hey Mitch, can I have a midnight Salvia? What would you want from me?
Sherill

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Been runnin' short of 100 dollar bills. I'll take all you can find.
