Yes, Africa was great..at least Liberia was before their civil war. We still have school reunions...was run by the U.S. government called American Cooperative Schools...they are all around the world. Our next reunion is in July I think, in Florida.

Actually the schools were attended by most foreign students in the country with families working in corporations, military or missionary.
Liberia has alot of rubber plantations- Firestone tire was big there and we had alot of Firestone kids from the Firestone Plantation. Kids from the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the U.S. we all were together...the school went from 1st to 12th grade.
everytime you tell me something new i end up wanting to ask a whole bunch of questions. but i'll let them go until i see you again as i wouldn't want to bore people with my endless questions. lol.

rj, was your school typical of what we have in the u.s.? i just picture grand field trips outside. and an international student body! did you even know who mother teresa was? lol. where was she anyway? is liberia a modern place? big buildings? mcdonald's? who was your best friend?
the rubber plantation.....how on earth do we get tires from trees? and you know that rubber mulch is popular now in playgrounds. have you seen it? it is the most comfortable stuff to walk on. and the plants we call rubber plants...are those the ones they make rubber from? how big do they get? what part makes rubber.......the sap?
