Supposed to be in 40's for the next few days with some heavy rain--hope the SNOW goes--I'm mighty tired of looking at it! The bird pics were great ---purple finches & other northern birds have been flooding southern New Eng. this season. due to food issues. A birder writes a column twice a week in our paper, & I'm amazed at what he's seen--a western tanager was the latest, but also lots of northern hawks & owls. Pixie---my stepson from Kport sent an article on the barred owls flooding Maine this winter, & how many are victims of cars--they are hunting by open roads, because that's where they pick off rodents.
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 10
Just was outside for a few minutes. Very raw!
Oh no! It's 41 here and the sun is out so I'd better get outside now.
Better hurry pirl - we're having freezing rain right now. It might rain sometime today for you!! The temp is supposed to get above freezing but at this moment it is 23 so it has a ways to go. Eleanor
The sun went into hiding so here I sit.
Pirl, my DH says we are getting another gale on Weds. He brings in the oil tankers and one is one its way in tomorrow, so it will most likely get in, but not out for a few days. Hold on to your hat. But no snow. Patti
Yes, I saw it on WeatherBug. Slick road warnings for tonight but sun and low 40's for Thursday.
today started out sunny, but since 11ish, its been heavily overcast. when i was up in new britain earlier, some ambiguous precipitation was trying to start, but it didn't seem to have much enthusiasm.
Time for a new thread. Please bring your snow, rain, sun, ice and blizzards here:
