Yesterday there was a storm off the coast, it dropped 2-6" in Southern Maine but missed us! The storm passed by us and headed North, came to shore and dropped another 6-12" in The Downeast part of the state this morning. We never even saw a single snowflake!!!! Miracles do happen. LOL
Nantucket, no ferries running today and the airport is closed due to snow and wind at the moment. We popped 60mph last night at the house. Blow hard most of the night, backed off but still blowing. I can't complain as it is the first real snow we have had this season. I have a couple of not so happy looking shrubs, but it is going to warm up quickly in the next few days, so I think they will spring back up. We may get a couple more inches today.

Bright and sunny now after a thin overcast early this am. Thirty-one degrees with a gusty 20mph wind. This weeks highs a bit warmer than last at 35-40 degrees, not bad for the end of Jan.
Wow - finally caught a break, Celeste! Sounds like it was a noisy night, Patti.
Sunny here with light wind. We didn't get much snow yesterday-way too far from the coast.
35 here now. Yesterday the flurries lasted all of five or ten minutes and then were gone.
cool shot Al... actually made me stop and look more
Nice shot.
Al, great shot. hopefully mud season won't be far behind. Patti
Victor - either my computer is running slow or we need a part 11 of this thread.
Everything on DG is slow for me right now.
Slow for me too. Our mud will be rock hard soon - they have our high at 0 for Wed.
That's a change!
sloooow too, thought it was me. Patti
DG has been slow for me also - I thought it was my computer! Eleanor
Al - did you capture the demise of Frosty the SnowMan in that pic???? LOL
I stole his hat - sorry sucker!
Al - do you know if PM now wears such a hat?
Andy's dead model?
Chilly here this morning. Supposed to go up to the 40's. I just came back from my parents in Pinehurst. They have 20's in the morning too, but tend to shoot up 10 degrees warmer than me during the day.
How's this for a morning coffee view? This is what my parents see every morning.

Nice view, Anita. We're all so ready for spring but have the worst of winter ahead of us.

Bright sunshine and let the melting begin! High of 40 today. Have you noticed the sun is climbing in the sky a little, not too much longer to go. :)
Crazy weather for Al's part of the country. Tornadoes and blizzard in the same forecast! Be careful, Al. Temp will drop more than 40 degrees in hours.
