KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Probably. lol. Thru the oldies station. hahaha

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I just wiped the venom off my knee, and then like the cartoon BC...went SNAKE!!! bam bam bam bam bam bam...
I always carried a staff with me. Always. Green Mambas, Black Mambas, gaboon vipers, cane viper...vipers...etc etc

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Christi, pay no attention to them... think happy thoughts...clouds, marshmallows, pretty cardinals sitting on a snow covered branch....happy thoughts.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

RJ,aren't those that chase you til they catch you?????LOL

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Happy thoughts, keep thinkin' happy thoughts, think about things you want to do. You gotta have dream, if you don't have dream, how you gonna make those dreams come true? ta da da da da da da..ta da da da

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Well I hope Christi didn't see that movie with Samuel Jackson with all those snakes on that airplane!!!LOL

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

As a matter of fact, the Mambas raise the top part of their bodies when they get around...that's the easy way to identify them, is that there is this snake, then it's head is way up....so it can look you in the eye and size you up...
hmmm..bite or run...bite or run.....

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

I SURE DID NOT!!!!

Randy, could this have been the same one that talked to *Eve*?

Poor Christi, stop teasing her, she will be having bad dreams tonight! I thoroughly dislike them too, Christi. My Mom is even worse - she won't even watch them on TV, and is also afraid of worms....

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

LOL, I bet she will be taking a long hard look at those extension cords around the house tonight...

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

I agree with Mum. I don't watch anything on tv that disturbs me. That leaves me with mostly Discovery channels and even then I sometimes don't look when a predator is on the kill. Don't mind earthworms. Have learned they are a really good sign that my garden is in good order. Sometimes I watch HGTV.

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Randy! Behave yourself. Just like my boys. If they could get me scared they felt like the day was a success.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Yes my tv channel is pretty much stuck to discovery or the science channel...great channels! And they have lots of snakes on there :(

Hillsborough , NC(Zone 7a)

No, I don't get any help with the weeding...Mum stays above ground level with trimming which is a chore in itself here. Like Carol says, you don't leave clippings on the ground!

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

I change the channel when they show snakes.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

aaahh.. Christi...

Hillsborough , NC(Zone 7a)

Lol Christi, so does Mum!

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Well, the first word in this thread is "play", and I guess teasing qualifies...but just remember what they say about "pay back"...

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

PPPssssTTT!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

TMANnnnn!!!
I hate snakes!!!! When I was small, my biggest fear were the snake charmers!! I always thought there's this conspiracy going on to rid kids off the streets!!!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

I tried to get one a month or 2 back, but Patti wouldn't have it,it was just a little Amazon Python, tree snake,I wanted to let it go in the greenhouse to catch ant mice that would wonder in to get warm this winter,it was already full grown and only 5 ft long!
She was afraid it get into the house somehow get a parrot,I said yep your right spike would have it for breakfast!!!!LOL
It was only $40!Steal of a buy!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Eeeewww!! I was 8 when I saw this great big python the villagers had captured! It's belly was swollen after swallowing a pig!!!
Repties...stay away from me!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Well they can be persuasive ,just don't take a bite of the apple!!!

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

I think the one Randy was talking about last night is the same one that offered Eve the apple. ..stand up and look you straight in the eye... I know some two-legged reptiles that will do the same thing..

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

LOL...give the Sssssnakes a chance!

Was pretty nice today here...

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Rj,
How about a little rattlesnake,on the Mikes Smoker at the hotel parking lot,at Daves Convention In Dallas 2009!
Say it taste better than chincccken!

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

ROFTLOL
I remember Christi Eyeing that little rubber snake I had up on the tree...to "cause squirrels concern".
They use it as a spring board to hop over to the fake owls head on their way to the fence.

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

I guess I shouldn't tell this, because ya'll are gonna hate me....but I actually don't mind snakes. However...I HATE spiders!!!
When I was 15, I went to Reptile Gardens in South Dakota, and they put a boa constrictor around my shoulders. I had his head in one hand...and tail in the other. Have a picture of me that way! Ok...ya'll already knew I was weird....guess this confirms it!
Can't say I would want one in my house though.

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Marcy, we need to see the picture. Randy, you are a mess...and I love you for it. You, too, Don.

Christi

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Christy.....I will have to get in the attic and find it. I have been wanting to do that anyway. Maybe tomorrow....too tired tonight. That snake had just eaten 3 whole chickens they said, and so he wasn't about to squeeze me....thank goodness!!

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

lol,
okay..now your getting me...spiders that are bigger than a quarter give me the chills....There is one spider in my garden that is a large brown really fat bodied nocturnal spider..it's very gross looking, and it will come out in the evening spin a huge web (for which I make a note of the location) and then at dawn, it will take up it's web and disappear...I've seen a couple of them.

South Venice, FL(Zone 9b)

In Florida, there's nothing quite like a 4 or 5" wolf spider jumping across the room at you! They aren't poisonous and eat cockroaches (double yuk), but if they are in the house, they are fair game for me. You can see them watching you, following your every move with those beady eyes. Ewwww.
Quick, I need a plant to chase the critters out of my mind! Here's a coral ixora hanging out with some Johnny Jump Ups.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Is that your new Ixora? pretty..

yes..that is exactly what I had in mind when I mentioned that...we had those wolf spiders in Africa and they give me the creeps...I'll take snakes and lizards any day...scorpions..they fall under too many leg category too.. they had some foot long black scorpions....involuntary spine curl..!

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Great! Such a lovely sight. Definitely better than the former subject.

Christi

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Lord, Randy. Did I say that was Eden? Take it back..take it back.

South Venice, FL(Zone 9b)

Yup, Randy that's one of them. I got a dwarf red one also, mainly to see if that Io moth cat would eat any of it (it didn't), so I will plant it this weekend.
