She's 15 when she married Dad who was 19 then. Don't you just love old sepia photos.

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, I do. My dad was born in 1920 and my mother in 1921. They were 20 and 19 when they married so I have lots of sepia/black and white pictures. As matter of fact, a lot of them are of me. You're not going to believe this but when I married at 19 in 1961 our wedding photos are all in black in white. Guess there was no colored film yet. eeeeewwwww. I'm an antique. bwahhhhh...

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Nope..you have to be 115 to be an antique!

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

collectible?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lololol.....I'll collect the likes of Christi anytime! Thought it had to be 25 to be declared antiquated? My mental capacity is antique...more than 120!!!

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

DH does this every night...turns off all the lights. Just in the room where I am. He is still watching THE game. Patriots are behind.
Mean anything to anybody?

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

aah, right where they should be..!?
I mean collectible antiques...is that believable?

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

G'night.

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Jaye, what a fantastic picture! Treasure it always. I became our family historian years ago when my parents retired and moved into a very small trailer. I have pictures of my grandparents parents...and some of my husbands family that are the posed, "everyone look very prim and proper and stare at this box for the next ten minutes " type. Some that we really treasure are of his grandfather's farm, and a train wreck that the whole town ran out to help for. Unfortunately, all of our non-cyber pics are now in storage...and I hate not having access to them!

Christi - you are NOT an antique, but you are definately collectible!

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

It is a very good picture, beautiful people they are! Kids must be too!

How does one walk through Carols garden not trying to get a cutting of a thousand things!?

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

You have to keep a mental picture of the size of your suitcase!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Tie your hands behind your back RJ!! Lolol!!
Hey...Brady made the record!! Most TDs!
My youngest brother has scanned all the old pics and emailed to the rest of us siblings that are scattered across the globe. Nothing like these tangible memories to secure us together.

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Hillsborough , NC(Zone 7a)

Hope Patti feels better soon TM, that poor woman has a lot to put up with!
Speaking of which, has anybody heard from Jeanne? I hope she didn't overdo over the holidays...Obviously I haven't had time to read all the posts yet to see what you are all up to.
Jaye, lovely picture of your parents - they look so young to be almost married!
I think it would be kind of fun to start a thread with old pictures of our parents, that would encourage Mum and I to have a real sort out - of course you guys are probably organised to begin with. Now that I think about it I really should get all those old pictures onto the computer and send a copy to each of my brothers., oh man, another job I am behind on!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Well we know Shari won't be sneaking up on anyone!!!LOL
Haven't heard from her or Chrissy.

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

We all been busy on some of the other threads....Jeanne, Christi, RJ...and I saw that Chrissy has been posting on the Australia forum. Getting ready to shut down myself...JB will be home from diving soon, and I need to fix dinner. Check out the AlohaHoya tour. See ya on the flip side!

Happy Birthday Jeanne! Hope you have a great, green day!

Chrissy, I'm resolving to keep back track of my seed starting endeavors. Made some charts and put them in a 3 ring binder. That's about the only thing I think I can really pull off!

++++++Happy Birthday Jeanne++++++++

Cathy, that sounds like a good idea. May I copy it. This will be the first time I'll be starting seeds. Thanks to generous DGers, I have tons of them! I have that sneaky feeling that they are actually relieved to find a newbie!
I can never keep up with any resolutions made---cause I'm such a procrastinator!
Yeah, that's a good one...not to procrastinate...oh well, later perhaps!!

South Venice, FL(Zone 9b)

Jaye, I am such a procrastinator too. Not to menttion a vicious project starter... not so much a finisher... I always have a bazillion different things going on, in the garden and otherwise. I take the "full life" to heart I suppose.
I was just checking on one of the seed trays this morning and something is popping up! It's Coral bean, Erythrina herbacea, from the Butterfly forum seed swap. I guess it pays to sleep.

Pads on feet to draw the bad stuff!! Whoa! Is that another urban legend?
Chinese believe there are bad "winds/vapors" in our body ( I hear TMan snickering). We'd spread some deep heating ointment, like Tiger Balm on our backs and have someone "scrape" them with a Chinese coin or a spoon! Follow the ribs, and red welts will appear, even though you did only a couple of strokes. I had done that a few times, relieved whatever's ailing but sometimes it gets so bad..back to the doctors!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Jaye,my how you can read me like a book!!!!
When were kids,we have the pleasure of castor's oil cures everything you know!!!LOL
