aint THAT the truth !
Isn't there Pucett Sound out there somewhere? x, C
Good One !!!
my favorite town name in the NE (i was on tour with a dance company there a few years ago) was something we saw on highway signs and imagined was pronounced Poo-y'all-up, WA. Pronounced with a distinctly southern accent, like, "Look at me that way again, and i'll poo y'all up!" or "Car trouble? Well, poo y'all up over here, an' i'll take a look at 'er."
Not a lot of sleep on tour.

Was that the Everything Poops - the musical tour?
LOL Al...good one !
I remember seeing "that book" years ago in the kids section of a book store. I thought I was seeing things !
Thanks - It's a very well known book. A friend of ours had one called 'Love you forever' that was even more disturbing.
I get it, Amy...now whether the guys get it is a whole 'nother situation. Probably won't.
Your facts are getting in the way of a funny story!
I've heard of that town already actually since I know a lot of dahlia people in that state - lots of funny names.
Ok, waiting breathlessly for funny story. Have at it, Al.
Fl has some winners too - 'Howie in the Hills' is one. And of course, the ones in PA Dutch country!
And there is the one just up the road from me named Possom Trot.
2 ducks, a rabbi and Lindsey Lohan buy a bar in Puyallup...
The funny story was about the pooping book. That's all I got.
OK, now I'm scrutinizing the use of the apostrophe, thanks to Carrie. Amy gets an A+ for "it's not easy being green."
JD left out his apostrophe in "aint [sic] THAT the truth."
Al gets another A+ for "It's a very well known book."
Its getting very interesting, thats for sure!! LO'L
FAVORITE town name for me is still the one in Nova Scotia (or New Brunswick):
Pugwash.
totally has entered my vocabulary as my name for the back of beyond... "Geez, that must be out in East Pugwash or something..!"
Pugwash is a great name......!
I don''''''t know if WI has many - there is Hell,Luck,Mukwanago and a hawaiin sounding one near here Kaukauna
KY also has Monkey's Eyebrow, or maybe that's across the river in Illinois. Not too far away, wherever it is.
Those are all good. Must be interesting living in Hell.
Monkey's Eyebrow?
And you guys thought Puyallup was weird?
In case you care, it's "Pew-al'-up".
That's Puyallup with appropriately placed apostrophes, please.
'Al' with an apostrophe - how appropriate.
Oh I could do so much with that...
Bigcity'al'.
Looks impressive.
I get a lot of Bigcitygal's, which is handy on some sites.
hmmmmm..............
Al...you're spending way too much time at the Lane Bryant site ! (Try the HeftyHideAway instead)
Is it better?
Hey I do work at an outlet mall that has a Dress Barn and a Dress Barn Woman in it.
geesh.
"Dress Barn Woman"..."HeftHideaway"..."al'sgals"...
I'm sure we're missing a piece of info, here.
All in Menasha.
Is that a word?
Those aren't all in Menasha, I couldn't even claim that.
The HeftyHideaway is a store for large ladies in "Hairspray".
lol - I am so embarassed. I thought it was a really large trash bag.
You know, tent-sized.
Is it. I have Female Trouble on tape so I've paid my dues.
scotch, packaging, duct, magic, electrician's, reel to reel, 8 track, cassette, vhs - which?
VHS. I have many cassetttes, can never find that invisible scotch tape I have.
Katye...too funny ! When my mom was having trouble losing weight she said, "I have an appt. tomorrow with Omar". I said, "Who's Omar?" She said, "Omar the tent maker".
I used to design & sew custom clothes. I actually had a gentleman ask me to design a coat for his mum - I was making general inquiries, and asked about size. His reply: a 2 - man tent. I found it incredibly difficult to restrain myself - I bit my tongue. and the inside of my cheeks. hard.
Oh the rich visuals that danced across my brain-screen from his comment.
