YES!
Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - 27
Ochre is good, JD. I use it a lot.
Dave - Were you married in March?
I'm sorry, I must be getting tired, but I suddenly had this image of Dave47 as a larger poster - and somehow being slow - and that didn't make any sense, 'cause how could a poster have volosity (sp?) ?
Orzo, it goes along with the one eye green one eye brown thing... ☺
Al, See 2 posts above your question
Gotcha - my sons BD is in March.
oh, you are good, Dave47!
You can call him 47, Agent 47 I believe.
I'm still not exactly positive what ochre really is...I had the same problem with "taupe" ! LOL
I get ochre. Taupe seems like one of those accidental colors.
Ochre is campaigning
CB, JD??
Goodbye!
Ochre has been around longer than taupe.
Things here start looking "ochre-ish" when it gets to be six degrees below Hillary.
CB as in color blind? Probably !
Taupe is like gray mixed with beige, if anyone really cares. Good NIGHT. Carrie
Isn't taupe the same as greige?
I don't get ochre either, and I googled it to see whether I'd get it.
Old oil paint color, Rembrandt, Matisse, Van Gogh, etc. ☺
I don't get Van Gogh either.
Ochre is a pigment, one of the oldest, & used throughout time.
It is most commonly known as a browned-yellow colour, but to further confuse the issue, can also be brown or red. The end.
I haven't been this confused since "burnt sienna" in the big crayon box.
I thought they should have called one burnt ochre sienna.
Looks like Crayola dreams were the rule last night. You people need help.
Either the weather or something else caused my computer to be as slow as a constipated turtle last night so I missed all the fun - rats!
JD's name for the group could be rearranged and almost be Vivaldi.
JD - you didn't mention puce or mauve!
Thanks, oeple, for a good read.
Good Morning! Ochre is good, rich and earthy. Taupe, bad.
Rats, puce and mauve don't belong in the same post. All are ukey, oeple.
Morning, Pirl.
The problem, Victor, is you went to bed too early, and weren't there to keep everyone straightened (or colored) out!
I wasn't on yesterday 'cuz of starting up home school again and, man, you guys sure kept the hot air flowing - on this thread and others!
Yes - last night was one of those zany periods. Wait until we close in on post number 5 million. We'll have to be the ones to get it again!
What will be the prize, Victor? A taupe trophy?
Ochre.
Mauve gets my vote.
Well, over an hour ago I figured I'd breeze through DG to see what I missed yesterday, and then get started on home school. Well, I'm finally down to the last in my Thread Watcher, so no excuses - I gotta go to school!
Get to work!
Since there's a pause I have to ask all you oeple (my favorite new word) how you'd feel about seeing our scarecrow with a bathrobe this year, instead of more typical clothes, and her hair (yarn) in old pink curlers. No fuzzy slippers - that's where the horseradish grows at her "feet".
mauve+ochre=puce,
or puke,
or uke,
ukelele...
Hawaii!!!
Temps hit 5 last night. Brain is addled.
Good morning, Sharon.
I like your transitioning from mauve to Hawaii. It's good to dream.
She could have socks with hole on her feet instead of slippers. She does get a cuppa, doesn't she?
No cuppa for her! She's on duty but she's a slacker. Actually she has no legs, hence no feet.
I saw a nice pink bathrobe at the thrift shop when I was looking for her summer outfit but they had no dresses on display, which is why I thought of the robe. She's had several identities so far and years ago, as "The Prom Queen", she was best but she's been the Medicine Woman (and others). I still have to find a viking outfit for her some year, since I have the helmet.
