Went over to my best friends (Anita) house today to exchange gifts and spend the day with her and my two god daughters 3 (Samantha) and 8 (Makenzie.) We baked cookies all day and then when daddy (Andy) got home Anita, Kenzie and I went for dinner and a big girls shopping trip. Had a blast and actually found a few more gifts. rachel, you had a great time how fun was that, no like laura said they become expensive to make and im not using very expensive beads but if i get my sellers permit i can go behind the curtain at the gem show and buy whoesale that might be a option otherwise it is real hard to put a price on them that is reasonable to sell.

well here are the boxes, came home and dh had them all drilled said it only took him 4 minutes a peice and it was quick dont go in till 9.00 so i have a few hours to paint a few more sleighs so with that,

Well, I'm hanging in there. I went to the doc-n-the-box last night and I have an ear infection so they gave me Augmentin (which I've taken b4). Well, I took it after I ate some dinner and at around 12:30am, I was sick as a dog! I thought "I've got the flu". I haven't "been sick" since my bachlorette party almost 15 yrs ago and at least I had some fun prior to getting sick then! Anyway, I'm fine now so I called the doc back to get them to call something else in for me. Of course, now I'm going to be paranoid to take anything!! I DO NOT LIKE VISITING THE PORCELAIN GOD!!!

Well, finishing last cup of coffee and begin all activities...So here is the sleigh I am working on for MIL, Peice it together just to see, so far I love it, sort of wishing I made two! baby santa's left to right-Breenie,Jacob & Julia. The tree is a photo of our Tree before decorations, lil Sax is actually Julia's and ...do you recognise the toy bag? Sleigh is my podge quilt, used piece of material from mini sleigh cuttings.
So much fun!

Morning..should have known better..decided to go look at Judy's sleigh photo with family photo's and puff..just like magic..lost my post, and it was a chatty one (lol)..I'll not be able to post to everyone as I had in my previous write-up because the timer on this computer is ticking mighty quick..

But how I've enjoyed all your Christmas rush, still much to be done it sounds like...

Liz..you've had great success with your light boxes ...main cost was in the drill bit I'm sure, $$$ store for both ribbon and lights make it cheaper..I use my drill press to support and drill..

A lady here in the library just approached me and said I was an excellent typist..she was a teacher in days of old and said she'd give me an A+..lol

Laura, you had better add that photo in a contest..looks so pretty..will you be spending part of your Christmas day at the beach..I'm hoping to..

Forgot my friend Liz and also Barb's address and tel. #'s at home..called Darlene to ask her to try and obtain them so I can visit them..have Geraldine and Bert's and also Barb and Bob's so I'll soon be out of the nest...

OMG, offended Aunt Muriel this morning but within seconds she's forgotten and is back to gabbing...I wanted to call SF Jim as he's flying in late this aft. to pick up the van in Fort Myers so asked everyone to be quiet for a minute well she said 'seeing I'm the only one talking you must mean me so I'll just go outside" oh boy..2 seconds later she was in and gabbing...you laugh all you want (lol) I don't just mean talking from time to time..I timed her and she went into 6 different subjects in a matter of 5 minutes...from going shopping for a dress to the recipe she's had success with, to when her dad was at her house to her trips to the islands, to the work with Uncle Danny to her work in the wedding dress manufacturing, her dog and then if you wait long enough she'll come back without a wasted breathe and finish the stories up..had a bet with my boys on how many subjects she could cover in 5 minutes..guess I have to pay out..lol...don't get me wrong..love her to bits, I say to myself focus/focus/focus and that's not the worse, I'm in the washroom - now I'm really laughing, I brought a book in and thought that finally I'll get 5 minutes peace and she comes in and continues to gab..then outside I go, put a chair, put my head back with sunglasses on hoping that she thinks I'm sleeping and 2 secs later she pokes me telling me something she thought I'd want to know...well tonight I get the van that Jim's picking up in Ft. Myers because friend Art had heart attack and had to leave it in Florida..so girls I'll have wheels...

Mom had to get out this morning as well she went off, I said I was going for a walk (will take me probably about an hour or so to get back as there is a coffee shop en-route and grocery store and then I think Aunt Muriel wants to go do laundry..not me, I'll just sit out and enjoy the sun..might even take the car later and go to the beach...

Aren't I just rambling on..did miss you so...

Still haven't found out who passed away..not Herbie, not Barb's hubby Harvey but have a feeling it's Roger's best friend 'Harvey' that would be so very sad, my being down here and not getting to the funeral..

Mom is getting telephone hooked up and they say she'll have unlimited long-distance..can't imagine she understood that right, but before I make any long distance calls I'll check it out...so, if any of you want to D-mail me your tel. # and she does have unlimited I just might call next week to wish you Merry Christmas...

WAAAAAA! I went back to bed this mornign and slept until noon. Got up, took a shower now I feel worn out. This makes me think I do have the flu. I just don't feel "right". I hate feeling sick especially with so much stuff to do. I've got baking to do and cannoli to make and I HAVE to get my nails done before Xmas eve. I'm going to take it easy and try to just veg.

oh GG we all hate getting sick, poor baby. you dont want to be sick this time of year for sure!

betty so glad to hear from you. yes we will go for walks on the beach when we can. DH is on 4 weeks holidays now so we will get more time. we only get to see each other about 30 minutes a night as he works afternoon shift and i am too tired to wait up after working all day so we are looking forward to it. however, lol, we are having huge rainfall at the moment and flooding so out walk on the beach turned into fish and chips in the car looking out over the bay and then off to burger king for a choc coated icecream. cost all of abut $7 in total and was great!

your all so talented with the crafts! the sleigh is wonderful. i hope to get mine done one day soon but hubby is slack. :0( maybe now he is on holidays.. one can only hope.

well yougest DD is coming down today so off i go.

Hi Betty I am surprised that you wanted to chat with us at all after all that drama. It sounds like a trip with me from what I understand. lol

You girls and your home holiday decorating just blows me away. It looks so nice and I know is appreciated by all who see.

My friends and I gave presents to a needy family this year and we all wrapped them last night and we saw how they lived and felt so blessed to be able to do it.

I met a woman there who was well dressed and looked very embarrassed to need help and seemed so surprised by how we didn't look down on her. I felt God tell me that she was the one to give the $25 my friend gave out for Christmas this year to pass it on to a person in need or just to surprise a stranger or two with a unsolicited gift and to tell them to pass it on. I gave it to her and she was so shocked and appreciative. She then told my friend, who gave me the money, that her husband had just left her and her 5 kids and she was filled with hate toward him because he left and they lost their home. She was so nice and I hope it was a day that just lifted her up. My friend gave her another $20 too. We told her she had to forgive him and then she could be happy again one day. She said she wants to but didn't know how. Poor lady.

struggling a bit today. the old anxiety is back (never know why just get bouts of it) and i just have to endure it till it ends... darn thing really put a damper on everything. not sure if any of you have suffered with it, its hard to understand it if you havny but you dont know why its there, there usually isnt any reason you can think of and it just wont go away. so send a prayer up for me or send positive thoughts my way and help me win this old battle and be back to play antoher day eh?

I've worked with folks with anxiety before, I don't know if the doctors, etc. you are working with have referred you to relaxation/breathing/visualization exercises, but my observation is that those strategies work better with medication than medication alone. Also things like keeping a detailed calendar can help prepare you at least for what you know will happen, but that may or may not be helpful.There's tons of info on the web about simple relaxation exercises...might be worth looking into if you haven't tried....:)

yes the big expense of the drill bit and all the ribbon is 50% off now so im going to keep my eyes open for the glass you know out here you have to special order those blocks at home depot dh found them by chance at a building supply there 7.00 here we saw a place on line for 1.99 in chicago lol judy go get some... its cold cold here 33 and to top that off with the crisp air i woke at 3.30 thinking i was loosing my mind omg the garage reaks of skunk yuck miss you betty so have a terrific day today.

Now talk about creative Liz..omg..you girls are too much..so much talent ..here I am sitting in the library and resting...Aunt Muriel decided yesterday to clean all the cupboards/wash all the dishes..she said a bad word but kept on working, later that aft. she sat down where I was and her entire pants and socks were full of blood..she is so skinny (93 lbs) soaken wet and had hit a main artery I'm sure...we wrapped it up about 5 times and every time she moved it started to bleed again..lots of fun, wouldn't hear of going to hospital for check up...kept thinking when I'd wake this morning she'd have bled to death...

Then, stubborn old lady, there are 2 bedrooms, Jim (SF) arrived last night on schedule so that meant I'd have to share a bed with Aunt Muriel..she got in her mind that the bed was way too soft and that she would sleep on the floor..tried to talk her out of it but she just would not hear of it..so, on the floor she slept...

Mom and Jim decided to go to the flea market this morning, and mom said that as someone had to stay with the dogs that perhaps I could stay home with Aunt Muriel and take her to flea market later...so, had purchased a dvd player for myself that I wanted to upgrade, said I had things to do, now that I have wheels I'm ok..so, exchanged the dvd player, here at Library and then I'm off to the flea market myself...aren't I awful...

Laura..the ocean, how lucky..it's overcast and cool this morning but is suppose to get to mid 70's later so that is wonderful...now you take some of Dawn's words to heart..medication is ok, but you start breathing deeply, think good thoughts, think of all you have rather than what you do not have, think of us your new found family and as you breath deeply you'll relax...Christmas is always a stressful time of year..everyone seems to feel a bit overwhelmed...

Sitting here looking around..there are about 3 older gentlemen..probably my age sitting typing..slowly but typing non the less...perhaps I can pick one up!!! lol...

Hi everyone...I'm alive and 85 - 90% well. Slept good last night and just took a shower and ate some soup and crackers. Going in a few mins to get my nails done. Today wasn't my choice but my girl isn't working tomorrow so a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! Thank you everyone for your well wishes. I know they have helped!!!

Wonder- I know what you mean about anxiety, I deal with it as well. I have found that relaxation and breathing exercises do help a great deal. It's very frustrating, especially when it comes out of nowhere. Your heart starts racing, you get dizzy and feel overwhelmed, it really sucks! Hang in there.

Helln- So glad that you where able to help the mom and her kids. I'm sure she will always remember you.

good grief im exausted but still plugging away last night dh wanted to watch on pay per view the third pirates of the carribian so went to sleep at midnight then awoke at the usual this morning at 4.00 so i finished a bracelett, made burbon balls obivious need sleep! cant spell, then i have 6 fortune cookies to assemble tomorrow finished a christmas spider and now am going to finish the last three sleighs, then start to wrap some presents, dh wants to be at sears at 7.00 am tomorrow so i better hurry and get to sleep lol
