Just finished my classes...early night..snowing heavily outside so everyone thought they'd better get going..fine by me...haven't had lunch yet let alone supper..too late now..maybe a cookie will do-lol

What did I learn...not a lot today..keeping all the good learning things for my trip south...

Jeannine..those mountains frighten me in the winter..better stick to I-75...remind me to tell you my story about taking a shortcut..travelled along the Finger Lakes I think they call them...but for tonight...it's night/night all...

Gita..not humbug..nice to be with family for Christmas...all those little ones, wow...

Liz..yuk..dentist visits are no fun...none what so ever....

Starzz- So sorry to hear about the loss of your grandsons friend. Glad to hear that DIL is doing well. Hope your shopping went well!

Best- Had a lovely lunch with my mom and her best friend and did some shopping
Worst and What I learned today- Dear family friends of ours that live about an hour away from us had to be airlifted of the roof of their home. The flooding has been very bad in the lowlands this past week. They have lived and ran thier dairy farm for over 30 years in Chehalis. They lost everything to the flood, barns, house, the entire herd, pets, vehicles, farm equipment, dairy parlor the list goes on...... Absolutely breaks my heart, trying to make sense of it.

Oh, Rachel, hearing things like that breaks my heart. Those poor people. And there is no way to make sense of anything like that. If I have learned anything in my longevity, it is that very few tragedies really make sense.
I will be thinking of you and your friends.

Morning Shar....keep lurking on threads to see how you are doing? lol..have you been well? Not over doing it I hope..DD missing the warmth of Florida with all this cold weather moving in? Peeking out the window this early morning and it's -14 ..better wear some snuggies..even my office is freezing..the entire left side about 2' from where I sit is all window, can virtually feel the cold come through..thank goodness for micro heaters...

Rachel, how devastating for your friends..would imagine it would be an overwhelming task to return and start over...will add them to my prayers..

Well have some sewing to do..purchased 3 pkgs of burlap for the Victorian Santa flower bags, cut them out last night and found that I only was able to make 17 bags..need 25 so back shopping for burlap..goodness knows how I'm going to purchase 25 wreaths, 20 sets of mini lights and 2 pks. of burla and some diamond dust today with working...Suzanne is very good to me, am sure she will take me shopping for some of it either on our way to work/ lunch hour and stop into Barrie on our way home....

So as you sleep lovely ladies, I've going to get my sewing machine downstairs and sew the ones I have..

carol, 10c had to put the heater on with that thought.. how sad for your grandsons friends family, how is dil feeling today in and out boy they sure dont want to keep you any longer than they have to now a days did you get all your shopping done?

dawn,glad you survived the get-togeather now do you get snow to? trouble already brewing foe xmas with mom and granny, just dont know what im going to do with them to stop arguing guess i'll get both of them a checkerboard set lol.

gita,what a neat idea on the mail box,and you to have snow :( guess its to warm here for us to have any.

rachel,oh my, i have been watching the news on all that flooding,im so sad on all that has happened to your friends just terrible, have you gotten to speak with them? how are they doing oh they must just be devistated sending prayers for them we have a friend in spokane but she said right now its tons of snow.
thanks, tooth is back in order today my appt was at 12.45 i got out at 4.09 only cost me very little with my insurance but the trama of what is taking so long just made the hair on the back of my neck stand straight out!
the doctor was good but she had stomach issues she was talking to her assistant on her gastrointestinal issue my novicane was wearing out had a pin stuck in the tooth waiting for the xray to come back and thank god she was out of reach i would of for sure gone for the jugular lol but all is good today.

betty, hope all is good with darlene's tests will say another prayer for her,how nice to go to the comunity center do you teach there often? betty, lol is this aunt muriel? well it sounds like the road trip is on its way you made me tired with your to do list today im sure suzanne will take you to get more supplys, hate dentists always a waiting issue it just mad me nuts to see how tacky the recepionists were sininging and having loud conversations, just dont understand this new generation of kids lol.

Morning all,
I had a good day of shopping yesterday..not too busy out there in the shops, and got eveything I was after.
Came home and wrapped three gifts I had bought right away..feeling pleased with myself.

It is wonderful that you are able to carry through with your Florida plans.
Hope you have all your supplies in order for your class by tomorrow....

Rachie..I saw some of that horrible flooding on TV. How awful for all affected.

Liz....must feel good to have the root canal over with.

Liz, glad today is a better day for you? Yes it will be Aunt Muriel..between she and my mom I'll not get 2 words in...because of always working with chatty groups I've always been able to tune people out so I should be ok...know both of them well, they are taking their dogs so wonder who will be sitting in the car while we eat looking after them..lol..better get myself a single room while travelling...not travelling with doggies, not sure how apt we will be to find accommodations? hmmm, oh well won't worry about that now...

Dawn are you resting girl after all your company..bet it went off without a hitch..
