Glad you enjoyed your time at the beach..well,I worked like a little trooper..all done except cleaning..of course had is paining terribly so it was a debate with myself..finish tonigh or get up extra early and do so in the morning..the morning won out..taking a few secs to unwind..posting a few photo's for you to see Santa's Workshop...
All the flower arrangements you will see are NOT for sale..they are for yours truly..put them in all the rooms..

Reading the newspapers..watching TV shows on PBS. Had my little Christmas tree lit up on the window sill and candles burning ..so cosy.
Played with some photos on the computer.,and chatted to a couple of friends on the phone.
Laura..glad you are back online again..I don't know what I would do without the computer.
Lovely to think about you at the beach..while we are into our winter.
This is one of the altered photos of my grandaughter. She wants to put a photo in a frame to give to her Mum and Dad for Christmas ..this is sort of different "arty" look.

Liz..thanks..I can;t seem to repeat the same effect with other photos..The original photo was taken with very little light..and then I applied the "plaster special effect "in my old Microsoft Picture IT! 2000. I'm trying to do the family..to put in a four frame ..but each one is coming out differently.
This is my other grandaughter...and the effect I used was "posterized."

Laura, and Cat...sure can't blame you for not doing the Black Friday thing...I know I normally stay home on that day...but I went shoppping with my neice! She wanted to go at 4:00 AM when shops opened ...but I was not having that, LOL so we went at a more reasonable time left at 9 and home by 5. Was more of a day for just the 2 of us to spend quality time, takes 45 minutes just to get to the stores.
Liz, Oh yow, your Lemon merangie pie sure sounded delicious...LOL did shar get to it before you got to eat it? So glad you enjoyed your day with family incedent free. Now, you are still crafting too, keeping occupied how did your geese turn out?
Carol, Your patio looks wonderful covered in snow. So pretty to look at right after. We had snow up North on Thanksgiving Day! Was so lovely and peaceful to watch white fluff swirl around.
...We arrived in Lake Tomahawk, Wi on Wednesday afternoon. Had to make a stop at the house in Montello to pick up Ladder Jacks for DB, It was a nice little break as another 3 hr ride to go. Then we somehow got off at the wrong exit and added another hour as we end up going backwards!! But we stopped and got the groceries out of the way and bought some baby stuff for mini shower...LOL everybody makes bets on what time we will actually arrive...hahaha, Lil sis won we were only 2 hours behind schedual. So we stayed with my DN. They live in the same building so...it was awsom to run up & down visiting. Coffee at DS, sleep and safe haven for non-smokers.
So..Lil sis is a chef, she was up all night preparing the feast. Tried to help, but she wanted me to just visit...Besides DN..was the Kitchen aid and Aunti here didn't have to lift a finger! She, preapred Turkey, Venicin, Wild rice, greenbean casarrole, fry bread, 7 layared salad, everything was wonderfully delicious. Then my DN made all the pies, we had apple, cherry and pumpkin...He made some kind of whipped concoction...was really yummy, kids were eating it like ice cream! We had 18 Adult, 11 children 2 infants and 3 dogs! Quite the crowd...So many stories, lots and lots of laughter and rip roaring fire. The best, Got to see Everyone. My eldest sister came and we just had a great visit...she doesn't like to leave her apt, but she came to see all of us! She was so cute, asked me if i was proud she came to the party...I told her yep, very proud and very happy to see you. She was delighted to meet LS husband for first time. eldest sis will be 50 in may so...we are starting to plan a small bash for her, we want to make it special...Anyway the second best part was meeting my new grand neice!! Reana...Oh gosh, what a cutie and exact clone of her daddy, and he just so proud... So Friday, neice and i set out to go shopping for our mini baby shower. We had a ball bopping from one store to another, Thats all the shopping was for the baby so we were in and out in decent time. Went to lunch and hit a couple of stores and then home! Chatted the whole time. Her DH made the cake and Nephew and wife came to see their gifts! Now the whole time I thought it was a suprise so was being really slick on finding out what they needed without spoiling...come to find out they already knew!! Hahah, guess the suprise was on me. But anyway they got their needed items, Plus while we were out i found the perfect Bear material. Geesh had to go all the up to North woods to find what i was looking for, I told neice, They got every animal on the planet on material except Eagles and Bears in my area,LOL. Anyway got 1.5 yards and will start his baby blanket...will be late hopefully for NY. We've 8 days before he joins the family so lots of excitement. Sure wish I could find a way to get up there for his birth! Anyway DN promises he will take lots of pics and shoot themn through computer...
So I have had my fill on our tribe for a while...I now, am pleased as all get up that we were all under one roof! I wanted to do a big family photo..but could get every one together at same time, so maybe in the future. Anyways was glad to get home and sleep in my own bed.
K off to do some laundry and mabe practice smooshing tecnique,LOL

Betty you stay down lady, I mean it. I worked for 15 years in this field and people who are injured in car accidents can do a lot of damage to their recovery early on. Your pain is telling you to take it slow and easy. I know it is hard but it won't be worth it if it takes a lot longer to recover. Hugs (real soft ones).
I love to see the snow, Man! we get the cold and freeze but seldom the snow and with our worst drought in history going on 3 years now with low, low low rain fall totals, I doubt snow is in our future. I hope we do get rain though, it is scary, real scary here.
Seedtosser i love to take off and get away to but it feels so good to be back home and sleep in your own bed. Especially because I have seen so many things about the bedspreads at hotel and motels that I groase out and never feel comfortable anymore. I go through all these antics to cover the bed with a sheet so I can lay on it or fold it down. Are you guys like that?

I've been shopping - something I said I would not go out and do after Thxgvg! My neighbor and I decided to go out Friday "for 2 hours" and 6 and a half hours later, we got back. I'm done shopping for our DS and have most for DD. She wants a pair of UGG boots and I said "I don't think so". I told her if she wanted to waste her money on a pair of those boots that she could ask for a gift certificate from my mother and then use buy them herself. You can get "fake" ones at Target for $20!!
Laura, how much are UGGs down under (since they're from AU)?
I decided to start re-doing my kitchen. I want it to look "Tuscany-like". It's already yellow so I'm taking the curtains and the border down all which have blue in them and I'm going to add greens & oranges and red. I'll post pics as I do it.

Well it's 3:30..we had spaghetti at 1:30 so not likely I'll have to eat supper...we did fine at the craft sale but still have to much more to get rid of..then come Jerry, Rita's husband and he thought he'd help me out and drill holes in the glass block for lights..wanted a few extra for gifts..then Darlene calls said Mike was in Midland and picked me up 6..so don't know who they'll go to but I'm sure they'll find a good home...
Up and down stairs today did not help aches and pains, so dear friends, there is so much I'd love to say and listen to as well as post, but I've had a warm bath, in jammies, have the heating blanked on the couch and am heading for it now..my apologies...
P.S. Sounds as though you all enjoyed your weekend regardless if it was Thanksgiving or just a fun weekend...

OMG Laura! I love the shells! I am a shell fanatic. That is I LOVE to hunt for them! I have bags and bags of them from past trips to the beach and I haven't done a darn thing with them! I especially like looking for sand dollars! My DH knows that if I am on the beach, you can forget about me sitting still. I am gone! We went riding down the beach on Okracoke Island in August and one of the trucks in our group broke down so I jumped out of our truck and it the surf! It was LOW tide and I could walk out about 50 yards and still only be in 4" of water! I dream is to go to Sanibel Island in Florida. They are known a one of the best shell hunting places in the world. One day...... Thanks for sharing the picture!!!
Laura, the snow looks soooooo pretty! I know after a day or two it's nasty but it's sure pretty coming down!
DH put all of the Xmas lights up outside this weekend and we had our "grand illumination" last night. Since it was very cold, we lit the firepit and had a bunch of neighbors over. We made s'mores and drank hot chocolate. It was nice especially after the little kids went inside and the adults could chat!
Well, I just finished pulling the wallpaper border down in my kitchen. I also took the curtains down to wash and threw all of my bottles in the dishwasher. I'll go out in the next week or so and look for some fabric for new curtains.
Well, off to veg on the couch!!!!

Judy, sounds like you had quite the Thanksgiving with family...can hear it in your threads..I was so looking forward to Florida...confident in my driving down 'alone' but since the accident I'm think at lot of 'what if's'..what if it storms half way down there, what if I have trouble with the car..what if-what if..think the accident scared me a little more than I thought..have to get my head back on..usually attack any problem..always ontop of my game but little apprehensive this past weekend....

Carol, so sweet of you to ask, No we usually don't travel during Christmas holiday. This year is the exception as, we missed our summer vacation because I was called back to work 12 mo. Then we missed making any kind of reservation for summer so decided to go someplace warm for Winter break. By time we booked St. Augustines, it was the only time we could get so decided to Celebrate New Years in Florida. We have a couple of friends there and will visit some on the way back. Then came to find out Betty IS going to be there at same time so planning to meet up with her for a day. We are all excited about that.
Dawn, I know what you mean...I do bring my own sheets and pillows everywhere. We travel alot so I am well prepared to cover up yuck stuff.
Wonder, It is so nice to walk on a beach and find a goldmine of shells like that...Hope to get lucky in Florida. Yep shells are way cool. I had a glass lamp filled with those we collected over the years. A big stome came and ripped my screen house down and it took my lamp with it! So now have them in a ugly plastic bucket...till i find another lamp.
Well I have got to get to work here.

Seed, I think it is a pain but I have to bring my own stuff or grab extra sheets from housekeeping. I am not a germaphoeb either, but it just groases me out thinking about all th nasty stuff on those bedspreads.
