JM, Crape...JM, Crape...JM, Crape?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Both!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Lovely photos! Debbie - those were very nice and colorful! Al - very interesting shot from your blue period! Bebop and Victor - Nice color too! Things are much greener here than we expected. No signs of fall anywhere though!!

Lexington, VA(Zone 6a)

Al, getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner?

Now that we've finally had our first frost, maybe there will be some 'local' color photos to share. Unfortunately with the rains and wind last week, alot of the leaves are already down.

debilu, your shot of the "walk in the park" reminds me of the fall walks I used to take through the ridge of Beeches on my property in Maine - "pure gold".

ooh - i have some fall color at last!
here is something from the edge of my woods with berries. i dunno what it is, but if it is back there it is probably: A. poisonous B. rash-inducing C. invasive or D. all of the above!
Makes a kinda pretty picture though...

Victor - thanks for the advice on the leaves way back!! Eleanor

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

You're very welcome Eleanor.

Van Etten, NY(Zone 5a)

Amethystsm, that looks like euonymus (burning bush) just getting its color started. Here's a picture DH took of me in front of one last week (autumn is much farther along here than New Haven).

bebop, what a nice setting, and Victor love all three, can't decide what to add next year - good thing I have all winter to think about it.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I like that hydrangea, Victor.

Bebop2 ~ great photo!

Amy ~ I think that we have the same 'berry bush' up here, and it's very invasive in my back yard, although it looks very pretty this time of year.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice.

Autumn color seems to be kicking in now. I'm hoping it's nice this weekend as the family is coming out.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Where were they hiding, Anita?? Hee hee. It's supposed to be sunny and a bit chilly - like it should be.

Wonderful photos, Victor, Amy and Bebop! The color is still really pretty up there! Victor - that Crape is so pretty....I didn't realize they were such fall charmers!!

Bebop - that is such a nice picture of you in your lovely setting!!

Eleanor - has the color gone now from your area?

Debbie - is it drying out in your area of Louisiana yet? I hope it isn't still as dreary as it was a week ago for you!!

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

The color is not only gone but most of the leaves are down. There's only a few leaves left hanging on the trees. My DH should be able to rake up most of the leaves this weekend and then of course we have them blowing into our yard from the neighbors yards. Eleanor

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Not much color left here, except for the orange of the pumpkins on the picnic table, and the red of the crab apples still on the trees across the road from my house. The lawn looks awesome, though! It's really a healthy looking green!!!

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

things are finally getting pretty here - driving down 15 yesterday was really beautiful - no time for pictures though!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Same around here - starting to look real nice.

View from my BR. Unidentified Crape practically on fire. Norway Spruces on either side. In the back is the large JM that I limbed up and recently under planted with six smaller JM's.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks - yes, especially this time of year.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

What great flare you have to see when you wake up. It looks like it might glow in the dark, though. It is THAT bright!!

Van Etten, NY(Zone 5a)

Victor, I love that combination of colors.
Here is one from my hike in the park yesterday.

Beautiful, bebop2!
It looks like you had a wonderful hike.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thats a lovely pic bebop. Very relaxing looking and the color is stunning!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - stunning is the right word, bebop. Lighting is perfect.

I took my photo on an overcast day - it really is brighter and more impressive than it looks in that shot.
