Best/Worse & What did I learn today..visit with friends Pt18

Pacifica, CA

betty, dh had a question with the wood the mdf is just fiberboard

and the strapping is that bendboard?

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Lovely, dawn.....
now if only this mess of mine would do what yours is doing.
are we ever satisfied with our hair???? Probably not My mother used to put it in french braids to try to pull some of the curl out......ended up looking like fat corkscrew sausages.
Now the gray is coarser, but I have learned just to keep it short, never blow it dry, and NEVER EVER try to brush it out. think of sticking your finger in a socket......that's the look I get with blowing it dry or with brushing it.
but yours is lovely, really beautiful. Remember this moment and keep that look for a long time, it is very becoming. I would trade in a heartbeat....

Just downstairs for a paintbrush, while 1 coat was drying I rushed into town and purchased new drapes...then to Canadian Tire to purchase another backup monitor for Greg for Christmas.. bought Jeff's a few weeks ago, and bought some supplies to make Kyle's (pop machine) costume...just sat down for a sec passing the computer for another paint brush..

...OMG, you guys are fashion plate models...hmm will have to go get professionaly styled (don't wear any makeup except lipstick) so I can post photo...

Yes to both questions..fibreboard is same..runners are the strapping....

must go, trying to get everything done before darkness falls...tell you, spent a bundle this weekend..somebody ought to take my keys away so I can't shop...

Hi everyone, still on the go, bringing compressor downstairs after bradnailing what needed to be done, still cleaning up my mess..must make a mess to make it nice they say...Greg just called, asked me to come over for supper and look at their pictures of Lake Louise and Banff...told him I'm much too tired tonight..gives me the dickens, says I try to do so much in 1 day...anyway it's done and about another 1 1/2 everything (except the wood cutting) has been accomplished, but then when I made my to do list, none of what I did today was on that list..but next weekend it's cut wood for workshop ALL weekend, the next it's my 1st workshop so time is coming to an end with regards to what needs to be done before Christmas...would it be tragic if it wasn't..nope..but I'll tell you what, if it needs done I don't put it on the back shelf..needs to be done TODAY!.... is it the same with all of you???

Well, if I sit here 2 more secs...that will be it for the day, so I'd better make one more attempt because tomorrow night Kyle is coming over (he's spraying a fridge box red) to make his coca-cola machine costume..nothing like waiting till the last minute..so, tomorrow I'll take mactac and cut out all the lettering..Greg will bring him over and lets hope it's done because on Tuesday night I'm teaching as I canceled Wedn. because of Halloween..yuk, I'm already tired and I haven't even started Monday..but, living room looks nice..hated that the wall just sat there all summer since contractors left, but, patience is a virtue..I have patience when it comes to that but if it's something I am able to do, watch out....so have yourselves a great evening...

be back to gab when all is done...

Decided girls that I would run my bath, finish what has to be done tomorrow..I'll have a lot of catching up to you, so that will occupy part of my work day..lol...

Best...really feel good about putting in a good weekend, lot's accomplished

Worse...simple one, seeing the snow this morning and then in Midland on my return home from shopping (hail) so it's coming - like it or not!

What did I learn...still so much to do here...need basement ceiling done, furnace updated and winters soon approaching..so we'll see what happens...

Liz..can't compete with your Halloween, but once the fog and the horror music is on, it will be ok..

It looks so neat with the bluish cast over it.

Gosh you guys are good for a fat girls ego. Shar you are so hot and you know it lady, you just work it with that little man now, Ethan is under grandma's spell now. He knows his grandma is beautiful as we do. It is funny to see people with curly hair that remain clueless to those tips you gave.

Newcastle, ON(Zone 5a)

Shar..my daughter has curly hair too..and fought it for years. Now she just lets it dry on its own too. Yours looks great..
Here are my granddaughters and a friend ..my daughter on the right side playing in the leaves yesterday. They picked some apples too...as well as another friend of mine dropped by for some spy apples. She has a couple of friends that like the spys to cook pies.

Betty..your house looks great..I really like your ghost all lit up. Would love to see your new drapes. I'll bet you feel a great sense of accomplishment with all you do...
This morning we have a killing frost..good thing I got most of what I wanted inside yesterday.

Oops! I just see the party has moved over..meet you there........
