S&S vs PC ??

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Politically correct

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

OOOOh ...got it

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

oh . . . I thought you meant ":personal computer!"

so Carrie thinks I should root for the Green Bay Packers - any seeds or plants in that offer? (just kidding . . the sweet autumn clemantis root is starting to take off now, Carrie).

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Hold on, Michaela! I'd like you to cheer for the Pats. I just found a bunch of Nepeta upstarts for the offing. And Autumn Joy Sedum seems to be suddenly very prolific. Jeez, the things these plants do when your back is turned!! Tomorrow, 4:15pm rooot vigorously for the Pats :~)

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Someone above stated that anyone could join in here...I don't know who I am NE of, but I AM left of center, does that count ?

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Always and sometimes foremost :~)

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Jasper - everyone is welcome here. You may not really want to be here, but you're welcome!!! Gosh, I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON??? OOOPPS, guess the cap key was on. Actually I'm trying to type with white gloves on cause I just slapped lotion all over my hands - they are very sore, cracked, and have a rash on them. No it's not poison ivy - just really dry and winter hasn't even started yet!! Eleanor

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

LOL to the gloves - so dignified.

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Seeing as how you have white gloves on, it's a good thing you aren't coming to my place for a "test"...I'd fail it abyssmally.

Shouldn't you be wearing latex gloves, so the lotion doesn't get soaked up???
I think you have dish-pan hands !

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Safe surfing also.

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

go to your room, Al !

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Yeah, I really look dignified in them!! I look even more dignified with my CPAP mask on and a red rash all over plus the white gloves. I was at the doctor for a physical last week and I asked if I needed another Medrol dose pack for my poison ivy since I'm breaking out in rash here, there, and everywhere. He said, "No, you just need a tincture of time!" How much time - 2 to 3 more weeks!!! :-( I don't have runny blisters anymore, just a bumpy, itchy rash. Eleanor

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Latex gloves just make your hands sweat and then you lose more moisture. The lotion does soak into the gloves but that keeps your hands moisturized. I have dishpan hands, gardening hands and house cleaning hands. Eleanor

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

JasperDale - I like your style!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

3-6 hands - not bad. No typing hands?

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

I have the solution: Get a dishwasher, a gardener and a maid...in that order !

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

I have a dishwasher. I'd like the maid cause I hate housework, but I like to do gardening. I'd rather have sore hands than have someone else in my garden including DH. Suppose I could wear gloves!! (not the white gloves) Eleanor

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'd like a maid - cleaning would be optional.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

hmmmmm. . . . So Carrie wants me to root for the Green Bay Packers - and lord knows, I owe Carrie a lot - she has given me Dahlia tubers and a clemantis, and lots of other things.

But venu209 wants me to root for the Pats - and I owe her a lot too, 'cause she has kindly sent me rose cuttings for me to try to root.

Now, I am guessing that the patriots play tomorrow - and if i root for them, they will certainly lose. I have no idea who the pats are playing . . .if it is the Green Bay Packers, I am really at a loss as to what to do.

At the same time, while I may cement my friendship with venu209 by ensuring the loss of the pats, i suspect I will alienate every dg member in Massachusetts, if not all of New England.

. . . but I really appreciate those rose cuttings . . . . I wonder if someone will make me a better offer . . . heh heh heh heh

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Welcome Jasper! You are NorthEast of Hawaii.Sounds like you've met Al before!

In New Enland we all type with white gloves on. I also wear a smoking jacket.

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

I've only worn white gloves twice in my life...both times at funerals as a pall bearer.
I wear smoking T Shirts...and smoking tank tops, smoking sweaters, and even smoking rain coats.

pirl warned me about you guys...and they say Californian's are crazy !

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

In January and February, some of us even type while wearing mittens!!

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

I've tried to play the piano wearing winter gloves in an ice cold church. That's really a treat for all to listen to!! Eleanor

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I bet you looked 'sharp', Eleanor!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Good one Candyce! I like typing with boxing gloves. Comes out looking like a Slavic language.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Alas and alack! It's time to have Brunch. We are having an egg, sausage, and cheese bake this morning; served with a side of jellied cranberry sauce.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yummy! I see the time stamps still show the savings time! DG hasn't changed the clock.

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Did you know that Dick Clark moved to the west coast so he could be three hours younger?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I thought it was to be closer to the best plastic surgeons. Seriously - I hope his health improves.

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

uh oh...you just touched off on a potentially volatile topic: Plastic Surgery !!!
My old co. landscaped the mansion of a famous plastic surgeon...the guys wife looked like a science project gone bad...REALLY bad.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ever see Tom Jones or Burt Reynolds lately??

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Oh my!
THAT sounds horrid, JasperDale.
I'll just age gracefully, thank you. (Not really - I am kicking and screaming all the way!!)

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

We were on that job for about three months. One of the guys said, "Have you noticed how the wife never blinks"? I responded, "She CAN'T " !!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ouch!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Yeah, Victor. that's what SHE said, I'll bet!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The 'rewards' of vanity!

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Dr. Jack Frost...nipping at your nose.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Victor:
I'm thinking it's time for SR&DH Thread number _____????

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Okay - thought we'd let this go since it has become more of a Water Cooler type of thread, but I will defer to the masses. Here it is:
