Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Nice pics everyone. Aspenbooboo - love the sedum. boojum - the colors of your rebloomers are beautiful!! Eleanor
p.s. - glad that you have a camera Dave and I'll be watching for your next pic!! Don't feel bad, I haven't had anything new in my garden to post a pic on or to even take a photo of!!

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

I don't have much blooming now either. Here is a new daylily that waited until September to show its pretty face.

ECHOES OF MERCY, don't you just love that name.

boojum, your O. Keith is a nice bicolor. I don't have anything like that one.

Thanks for making me feel welcome. Pixie, how long does the African daisy bloom? I have Painted daisies but they only bloom early.

Teresa,
I bought the african daisy's in May at my local hardware store. They were sitting there beackoning me to buy them. I made the mistake of leaving the orange one outside.....thats why it died. African daisy does not do 30-40 degree weather.
Put the yellow & purple in the greenhouse until June 1st, then planted them in the ground. I've had flowers ever since, I do deadhead the spent blossoms and it makes the plant fuller.
I know I told you on the DL forum what a beautiful DL ECHOES OF MERCY is but i'll tell ya again. It's just lovely!!!!

Teresa:

I love that 'Echoes of Mercy'. Such great colors together.

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

Thanks, I agree.

Pixie, if you save seeds from the A. Daisy, and have extra please LMK.
I would like to try a few.

Teresa - very nice Echoes. Maybe what I like best is that it looks like a daylily, as all on this thread do, and not overdone with those awful garish edges or those that look like "dishrags" of olden times. I appreciate the beauty of a very pretty daylily like yours.

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

Hi, Pirl
Maybe I could you talk you into sending me a few Japanese iris for a df. LOL

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

LOL ..I love the barter system!!!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Yes! I'll dmail you, Teresa.

Great shots booj. Love the baby Monarch.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

All of our Monarchs have grown up and flown away. We hatched about a dozen this year.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Was there one plant that most of them fed on?

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Parsley!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

More wonderful garden pics.
Aspen I agree with everybody else that 'Stardust' sedum is a real star. Also like your big clump of zebra grass.
Boojum love the monarch cat. pic and the seeds on your peona obovata are simply outrageous by any standard, very cool. All the DL pics are also great to see.
BGM your beautiful DL: 'Echos of Mercy' is very nice also.
October Daphne sedum is also a fav of mine.

How lovely, ngam. I have that one but didn't buy it with that name. Glad to know it.

Thank you, boojum! I'll be sure to buy a six pack of parsley next spring.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Well that's what they picked to make chrysalises on (also a daylily-Byran Paul). The catts were prolly born on the milkweed plants in the field.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

i am delighted with my "grandpa otts" MGs - i just bought them as a joke because we have a friend named Otts (he is so not the "grandpa" type), but they are really pretty and the neighbors - and the landlords - like them a lot....

This is the second set of blooms on my Endless Summer hydrangea - Bailmer. Not a very big bush yet (just planted this year) but has had quite a few blooms. Eleanor

Oh Eleanor that BESV is absolultyu gorgeous... will that come back next year??? I planted several seeds and only 3 plants made it.. and they are not not very big... but they did bloom... I love that plant!!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Wow - where to start?? Booj - love all of your pretty pics...and that Monarch chrysalis shot is terrific!

Aspen - that red zinnia is exquisite!!! Any idea which seeds to look for for that color?

Teresa - your Echoes of Mercy DL is very pretty...and I, too, like the name a lot.

Amy - what a stunning shade of blue that MG is! Gorgeous!

Eleanor - nice collection of pics.......and I LOVE that BESV........this is the first year we haven't had one. They are so expensive to buy in the spring...I am interested in knowing if the seeds came true for you, Kassia?? I haven't been able to get them to winter over here.

Sad to say I don't have anything to photograph today........just when I'm starting to catch on to using the macro, the plants start going away........

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

well, I started from seeds... and I have seeds if you want I will send you some... I am going to wintersow them this year!!! I will report on my progress with that gorgeous plant!!!!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Lots of great pics. Another vote here for the stardust sedum. And love that seed head Boo. Very interesting! Here's one I caught today. I might have to reassess my previous assessment of the passionless passiflora

OK, so I'm sitting here feeling quite guilty. I cut my October Daphne to the ground and threw all the cutting's in the compost. If anyone would like the cuttings after seeing ngam's beautiful picture, I would be more than happy to go to the compost and retrieve it simply for postage. They are VERY easy to root. Scratch the surface of your soil 3 or 4 inches. Place the cutting down and cover the length of the stem with soil. Viola....beautiful sedum next year :)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

venu.... love the passi.... let me know how it overwinters
