Yes, most stuff is absolute garbage. Even, Noggin, the network for young kids, has a new show with 'Yo' in the title!! Do young kids need to learn that?
Today's Weather in Your Garden
No yo! Why is it such a disgrace to learn the English language?
:( Phooey! Overcast all afternoon, finally some rain, four maybe five drops. Darn it! Sun's out again 70 degrees. Looks like more watering tomorrow. At least it is not supposed to be so muggy.
Yes I'm hoping we get some rain like they had forecast this morning.
We got the spray from your five drops, ngam!
Send a few molecules westward, Pirl.
You'd be better off to spit, Victor. It started to "rain" but I was under the pines working so I figured I'd wait it out: easy enough to do.
Good Morning everyone. I just found this thread. 62 and clear skies here this am. It didn't seem to humid when I went out this am to kick the sprinkler head [it was stuck]. I keep wanting a weather station and I've seen some real beauties. Of course, I have good taste, which means high prices for the things I want - pout -
57 and sunny here, no hummidity this morning, yay!! Looks like a beautiful day.
69 here and I'm looking forward to spending all day in the garden.
67 and looking good. Taking the kids to the CITY (for Louise) today.
I can see bright sunlight out there for the first time in days. And finally there is a bloom on one of the Dahlias (they were shipped late).
Working today but the walk in was nice. Haze is burning off and giving way to sunshine.
I'm late with reporting as I have already been outside. What a glorious morning!!!
Temp right now: 68 degrees
Skies are clear with just a few puffy clouds
Weeds are tall and I have to get busy again!!
Just got in from watering since we didn't get any rain to speak of yesterday. What a difference in the air, nice dry, breezy with sunshine and blue skies, not a cloud in sight and 74 degrees.
Just came in from watering and deadheading while Colin is taking a nap - absolutely beautiful outside!!! Eleanor
As the song goes ... "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood ..."
Beautiful day!! 72, nice cool breeze, no humidity....been playing with plants all morning.
I don't now the weather in my garden... I am not there!!!! I am eating pizza, at my desk... having lunch and being bad!!!
Had a great day in NYC with the kids. Beautiful weather. Low 80's, low humidity and an occasional breeze.
What a perfectly BEAUTIFUL late August morning!
Low humidity ... temp at 68 degrees as I write ... the garden looks perkier today ... the sun is shining and there are absolutely no clouds anywhere.
Just a few wispy clouds but it's so gorgeous outside. I'm on my way after I finish my coffee.
Nice - 75, mostly sunny and low humidity.
Nice day again, more watering,
about 76 degrees now.
I don't get it - I spent a fortune getting my hair cut and coloured, bought ALL the stuff to keep it straight - make all the effort to do the styling - walked outdoors this morning and instant frizz - and everyone seems to be celebrating low humidity - where? Low humidity relative to what? being underwater? sigh . . . .
If I didn't use hair spray mine would go instantly flat and straight. We women always seem to want the opposite of what we have with hair.
(Only 62% humidity here right now.)
Pirl, I do not think it was here you asked me were I went, I spent almost 2 month in WA with friends
I don't do anything with my hair, it is naturaly straight and gray and very fine and not much of it, for years I have just pulled it up into a twist. Once in a while when windy or rainy I use hairspray
My scalp hardly reacts to the humidity.
Glad you had a good time, Maria. It must be beautiful out there.
Victor, do you wear a cap when you're gardening?
Another wasp sting yesterday as I reached into some daylilies to cut them back. I tried the fresh slice of onion, pressed against the sting, for 20 minutes and it worked. There is some itchy feeling but nothing like the first one but very little swelling.
Not usually. After 20 or so minutes in full sun, I will apply sunblock. More and more studies show that we need SOME exposure to the sun to get Vitamin D, shown more and more to be nothing short of a wonder vitamin.
Agreed about Vitamin D.
The littlest one and I spent a glorious couple of hours outside weeding. Well, I weeded while she watched the cars go by from her stationary chair. It seemed like such the perfect weather to be outside for both of us.
I only got about 60 square feet done, though. I guess that means that I'll be back out there tomorrow morning. Yippee!!
Conditions right now:
81 comfortable (not muggy) degrees
light wind
the sky is about half clouds and half blue
Perfect!!
Oh it's gorgeous out!!!! and I am inside.... just had a meeting with my boss... it was ok.... until I cried!!! so umprofessional of me... but I am going to miss my co-workers... after 10 years working with the same people that I so close to... I am missing them already!!!! I really like him... yes he drives me nuts sometimes...
I have a 3rd interview at the hospital thursday to meet the staff and after that let's see if they will hire me!!!!
ok the weather:83.5 sunny... really nice!
Michaela, don't worry about your hair... it;s only hair!!!! you have really beautiful eyes!!!!!!
Ya don't worry about the hair. Way back when the in thing was long straight as a pin hair and I was a teenager and still really stupid, I had a head full of naturally curly hair, baby fine and frizzed with the best of them. I did every awful things to get it to be straight. I ironed in, put some stuff on it that made it elastic, used those humungous rollers, and in the end sooner or later nature and genetics would win...frizzy! Some people pay big bucks for curls and waves. JMHO but natural always looks better. :)
Looks to be another nice one today. Sunny lower humidity and starting out quite cool at 52 degrees now.
61 here, sunny clear and dry. Should reach 80 today but forcasting rain for tomorrow.
ah I am not there again.... I mean not in my beloved messy garden!!!
80 and a bit muggy at noon. Not quite as dry as predicted. We need rain!!
82 degrees, sunny skies, moderate humidity, slight breeze - all in all, not a bad day
A great summer day but plants look sad, they are so thirsty
