WOW! we NE gardeners are a talkative bunch!

No pool here. Have the room and considered it when the kids were here, but I already had 8-10 boys from the neighborhood in my yard every day and the idea of supervising them in a pool.....no way!!! I'm with Victor on this, too much work, laundry and expense for the payoff. We have a town rec area with pool and lifeguards, much better system for safety imho. The cape with beaches also only a half hour away if you want salt water.

I did enjoy the day off... I planted some grass, more sedum and a rose... so I still have a lot to do but some was done!!!

Hubby promised a pool for next year, can't wait I told him I'd take care of all the work. I grew up living on a lake, boy do I miss that. We lived in that lake all summer.

Yeah - it's REALLY easy to take care of a lake. Someone else does that for us. Of course, they have to ban swimming this year during the hottest days because of some such bacteria! THAT'S when the wading pool came in pretty handy, even if we could only sit in it one at a time - LOL!!

umm - isn't that Roman Numerals? L = Language, V = Violence, S - U know. I don't know what the D stands for. The only thing I can find is that it might have something to do with another country.

I have asked everyone that comes and visits. No one knows what the D stands for.

I hope it's before Sept. 23 cause DD #1 and I will be in Martha's Vineyard for a week (with no computer). We started this tradition last year of taking a girl's week for a lot of R & R. The rest of the family stresses us out so they aren't invited. We have a beautiful cottage that we rent (off season isn't too bad $$) and we just do whatever we feel like doing. Since we are mother and daughter we can tell each other where to go if we push the other's buttons. DD#1 took me there last year cause I'd had a hard couple of years with my brother's death last summer and my father's the year before. Off season it's fairly quiet there and we read, sit on the beach, shop, eat and eat some more, sleep, kayak, walk, explore the island, and watch the beautiful sunsets.
