I am going to take pictures so we can send it to you... next my dear Pirl, I want to meet you!!!!

Victor - there is plenty of room!! LOL There is an extra room with 2 sets of bunk beds. I get the downstairs bedroom cause going up and down stairs si hard with the arthritis in my knee and Jenn gets the big room upstairs. How am I going to get out of a kayak with this knee??? I haven't been kayaking since we went last year - my body has fallen apart so bad in the last year. No gardening either as the house is in a wooded setting. In fact, we only saw one manicured lawn while we were there last year - Martha's Vineyard is really into keeping the place natural and taking care of their environment. Here's a pic of the cottage where we are staying. Eleanor

Here's the bunk bed room - 4 beds for anyone who wants to take the ferry over. We took pics of the rooms cause we told everyone the place was a dump and then showed them the pics when we got home - surprise!! We didn't know what we were going into last year - we didn't know the owners and just picked the place off the internet and went through a real estate agent. We took a chance and were lucky!! Your get-away looks so perfect.

Did I read correctly that your DD#1's name is Jenn? She's so lucky to have you for a mom. My DD#1's name is Jenn, too, and while she lives across the state from me, we get to see each other quite often.

We've all been going through some really trying family times too. You've given me the idea to try and get together for a 'just us girls' time with my two oldest, at least. My youngest lives in Pensacola, so it would take a lot for her to join us! LOL!!!!!

Candyce - yes DD#1 is named Jenn (Jennifer). She was never a Jenny - always Jenn. The other one is Sarah - the mother of my grandson, Colin. Do a get-a-way with the girls. You'll love it. It would be wonderful if your youngest could join you or maybe the three of you could go to Florida!! Eleanor
p.s. The pic is of Jenn on the ferry on the way to MV. That's her car with her kayak and she got another one for her sister to use so they can go out together. (and me also but I haven't been in one since last year) There are some nice lagoons on MV for kayaking.

What a beautiful person she is!!

You must be very proud.

Yeah ~ wouldn't it be great to all get together in Florida? Maybe in February? Of course, one, or more of us, would have to win the lottery so that we could afford to get together. *sigh* always a dreamer, that's me.

Thanks Candyce. I am proud of her. She's single - still looking for Mr. Right and won't get married just to be married. Had several offers but not the right guy. She works for the Council for the Prevention of substance and alcohol abuse - education in the schools and has several teachers that she over sees that go into the schools for prevention education. She bought her own house even on a social workers salary. The other one is the complete opposite but we won't get into that but she does have a good job and works hard at it. Eleanor

Wow that cottage looks great. I'd love to sneak away and join you! You should be very proud of Jenn, and so should she! My wife already snatched Mr. Right but I'm sure there's a reasonable facsimile to be had!! Hee hee.

Way jealous of you Eleanor. Hope you all have a wonderful time together.

I am sure your wife is very pleased with you, Victor, however, I am pretty sure I have the best guy in the world - at least for me! :-)

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Good one, Eleanor :-)

Victor, too funny.

Eleanor, a getaway to MV sounds perfect. What a nice place.

I counted about 38 forums that have 35 or fewer posts in a week. That's only five per day! 12 had 15 or fewer. Do they ever get rid of forums due to inactivity? Flatliner forums.

That's a good point to bring up to da Dave, Victor. Perhaps a suggestions that the 'flat liners' need rescuing?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I wasn't suggesting it. Just wondering. Certainly doesn't bother me!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

But I think that it's a really good point, Victor.
