Awwww.....how sweet. I just got an email from him kinda ticked that I posted a picture of him with his durn socks and sandals on myspace?

Do they ever stop getting on your nerves and driving you crazy? If the answer is no I'll never get married. ever

Glenview, IL

LOL...if it does stop-Something is wrong! So he'll get over it...it's just a picture. does his socks have duckies on them?

It was nice reading about everybody's weekends. Ours was very long due to a power outage. We were hoping to go to the beach yesterday but it was way too chilly and windy. I got some stuff done outside though. It's nice when DH is home to take care of the baby inside while I'm out hammering/digging away outside. I do sometimes take her out with me but there are times when it's nicer to not have a baby underfoot.

Betty - We start earlier here than the rest of the province to make up for two, week-long hunting breaks throughout the year. It's a bit of a pain to start early but the breaks sure are nice. Besides, this year with the power outages, school was cancelled half the time anyway - wahoo!

The fireplace insert is such a good idea too. The fireplace looks so good, it will be cool to have it 'working'.

Off to get supper on the table now. I'm baking bread as we speak to have with yummy beef stew.

Glenview, IL

Ok, back to post-

Wow Betty, I was exhausted after all your work...LOL! How nice it will be when everything is done...Pretty cool or I should say warm when you get the fireplace going, will make your beautiful country home all the more cozy!
...Oh before I forget, Do you have Walgreens? They have these "singles" different flavors you can add to you water bottle! That way you get a little taste.

I am glad you got out on the Boat. What a beautiful ride and hey if it's the only way to get you to sit and rest then go for it! Nothing like a good boat ride to relax.

Tangi-Happy One day late birthday to you! Oh my was so sorry to hear that you fell and hurt yourself. I am sending a warm and very gentle hug. I hope you are feeling better, and stronger each day. Loved your pictures. LOL I figured out that Sedum is a fall plant. The flowers are so tiny and pretty. Mine just started blooming too! They are pink.

Liz-I am so glad you had a wonderful visit. Sounds like you will have some great fun creating stained glass items, will be a neat "winter" project.
...you collect Porcelin dolls? My DD collects them. Get her one every year for Christmas. Last year found Raggedy Ann and Andy! very cute.

Hi Dawn!! Welcome Home. You and Gregg doing ok? Bummer about your weather, glad you missed it though, tornado's, yuk!

Gilliebean, Glad you were able to go play in your gardens. Having extra days are nice aren't they especially when they are unexpected! MMMM, haven't had beef stew in ages!

Shar-Gosh sure hope little Ethan is feeling better.

Tropi-Forget to ask how did your trade go? Get some good plants? Your garden is so pretty. Can't say I blame Alice Cooper for choosing such a place to relax...He is a very big cat!

Wonder, Hope you had a good weekend and feeling much better too.

Murmur-so nice to see you back. Hope everything is going well and unstressful.

Gardengirl-Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation. I bet Murghy was mighty glad to see you all...LOL even though it meant a bath.

Well got to go do a little after work work. You all have a great evening!

Judy, no Walgreens..now that's a handsome hubby..bet he's a 'keeper'...
Will enjoy the coziness downstairs with the insert installed..Bernice's hubby said he'd come and do it..but you know me, if it's not done by the weekend, I'll do it myself..have no patience for 'waiting'...does that surprise any of you..lol...

Well, it's that time of night..raining outside..of course I watered all the gardens before entering the house tonight..knew if I did that for sure the rain would come!

Best of the day...talking with all of you wonderful people
Worse of the day...nothing really..just a very quiet day
What did I learn...that the bingo caller can't find any of my #'s..

Rest well..for those of you feeling poorly, I'll include you in my prayers..those of you doing well, I'll ask the Lord to watch over you as well...night all!

Betty that is all true and you would know.
My friend has been in the hospital for over a year and has brain damage, but will soon move to Washington to live with her mother.

I really don`t mind the school, it is that it is 20 minutes away 4 days a week in the middle of the day for 2 /1/2 hours, but I need to learn more. I question my ability to work at a desk and like it too and I do not know if I will be good at it. I like working with people with problems that I can make feel better. We shall see.

Nuts. There is no way I can catch up on all this stuff - I've been trying for about 90 minutes to read all that I've missed and post, too. Can't do it (that's what I've learned!).

But I've truly enjoyed hearing what y'all been up to. I've just been busy taking care of DD and new baby, plus my parents. My yard is out of control.

More later . . . I hope!

Murmur, there is no need for you to try and catch up..visit us as often as you can..and simply say 'hi'..must be so much fun looking after the new grandaughter..oh how I envy you..the garden you are tending to now, 'your family' is what is important...
You've so much on your plate..please take time for you and DH.....photo's of that newborn though is a 'must'...lol..looking forward to a few....bet she's grown inches ...+

Betty, I love being with my daughter and little granddaughter, but DD has post partum depression so bad I am constantly worried. Her DH is great in most ways, but doesn't "get" that emotional illness is real - her doctor is putting her back on anti-depressants and DH is against it . . . which adds to DD's stress.

This is the most recent photo (taken Monday evening I think). Baby girl is two weeks old now and doing well.

Carole, the baby is soooo beautiful. what a gift!
May she grow up to be just as sweet and beautiful as her grandmother.
Hugs,

OMG..she is beautiful..oh how I want her..can she have an Aunt Betty???? please...

Half the problem I guess with getting help with depression is the old stigma..mentally retarted...it's as real an illness as is heart disease/cancer etc. Could you pick up a book at the library or book store on post partum depression? She must realize that this is not the norm...might be a good thing for DH to read as well....

She is just so lucky to have you nearby to lean on...I'll say prayers for all your needs...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Hello Shar...you taking a break? golly, let me win the lotery so I can visit you all...that's my wish..maybe we could pray for that right? lol...not to worry..one day!
