Isn't it though Beth..some wonder why I travel the 100 miles to work one way each day..guess it's because when I do have time to relax and play, it's in a 'quiet' town, very country and almost behind the times...enjoyable...
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Part14..Friends
I do the same! I only have to drive 35miles each way but it is worth it to live in a town of 600 people with no stoplights, one gas station, one market, and one bank.
We live in very similar towns...a post office, hardware store, grocery store, liquor/beer store/ 2 variety stores/restaurant/library and several marina's .... very busy during the summer as it's a tourist destination but within the next few weeks, it will be very quiet and ever so peaceful..nice to walk the streets and see everyone out talking and enjoying..that's really how life should be...
mmm sounds like perfection to me. my husband and i have a dream to settle further out. suburbia has crept in and tho its a seaside suburb, we are very busy.
still feeling unwell, just have to ride it out..... wont hang around...
have a good day...
xx
evening all,
betty, how very true we live this way it was so different when we were kids time was much easier then and we were able to enjoy well the dog survived loved the chicken and rice she threw up at 4.00 this morning but she's just doing fine imagine eating our candy brat! lol
jeannine, your enjoying your time off thats great, did i read your going on another vacation lucky you have a good one and fun at the spa.
laura, hope you feel better soon
best: weather warming up
worst:hot flashes are back yuck
learned:mil has stained glass peices in the attic hmmm i wonder if i can con her out of a few peices this weekend
everyone have a wonderful evening liz
ooopppsss..everyone must be busy (or deserted me) but I'll post anyway...
Best...Just a nice day overall...went shopping at ezzewear and purchased 2 fall outfits..that always makes one happy and it's at the factory..jacket and pants usually run about $100.00 and you can purchase them for $30.00 (end of season line) but there are thousand to choose from..just so comfy..will have to go back next week and purchase a couple more...they even had nice knit tops 2 for $5.00 so of course I needed to have me some...lol...
2nd best ... it's 9:30 and I'm still up..have played bingo..grandsons couldn't make it..away for the week..I've got 18 Christmas balls ready to bring to work for sketching and painting so I can send them out early..2 loads of wash done and now it's bedtime...
Worse..of course not spending time with the boys and NOT winning the big 'bucks' oh well, somebody else must need it more than I
What did I learn...well, Paul was busy counter offering $$$$ for the building he's trying to purchase for 1.4 million dollars..he's fine tuning the offer .. we had thought we'd know the end result Friday, latest Monday but offer hasn't died yet..may still be moving before winter starts....
And Frank..spent 1 hr. tonight with black magic marker and my points calculator I got from Weight Watchers...taking everything out of the refrigerator..calculating and putting the points on the boxes...not much in the cupboard that will keep me thin...but a step at a time right...did get my line dancing tapes out..all the sound equipment I have is cd..taped them all on casettes so now I'll have to purchase equipment to play them...I do miss teaching the line dancing..who knows..maybe I'll donate an evening at the local community center..that would be my good deed AND get me fit as a fiddle...
So it's Betty byes...talk some other day...
Well guys, got lost on my way to bed..found my line-dancing video's..boy am I out of shape..use to teach and we'd do about 30 routines...had a work out for 1 1/2 hrs....won't be dancing much tomorrow with these aches and pains..who knows, maybe I'll dance around in the morning...lol...
Morning, here I am with all my friends (me, myself and I)..no wonder they say exercise is great in helping loose weight..to bed at 1:30am and up at 4:45am..sniffling and sneezng this a.m. guess what was getting me down has arrived..SIL left early yesterday for Doctor..sure hope she asked for extra medication for family and friends...well all you 'sweeties' please do have a wonderful day!
And for any onlookers...we're a friendly bunch, please drop in and tell us about how your day is going and as an exchange, you'll meet such a nice group of people who are always looking for new friends....
Morning all,
I'm back from spending a few days with a friend near Montreal. My sister came from London last Thursday....and on Sat. morning we set off for Montreal. Great drive..had a picnic at a rest stop. Beautiful weather. Wonderful dinner at our friend's home. Sunday we went to Old Montreal ..had lunch at an outside cafe French Onion soup and a glass of wine.
Wandered around the square..artists and buskers to enjoy and a little shopping. Went up to Mount Royal to look over the city. We stayed up late chatting and laughing ..Sunday we set off to the Laurentian mountians to a lovely ski town..so pretty..lunch outside again had Poutine..and more wandering in the shops. I bought a chocolate fondue set and a pretty top. The scenery was lovely..Stopped for ice cream cones at a quaint waterside where there is a lock and watched the boats...Left Tuesday to visit our 92 year old aunt in Belleville for lunch. We took her some sweetheart roses. Great catching up on stories of the family. Back home by 5 pm last night.
We had picked up some fresh corn at a roadside market..it was so sweet and delicious.
So here I am..up early as usual..sis is still sleeping..and she will drive home to London to day.
We had a very enjoyable time. I can't believe how fast the summer is coming to an end.
Cheers,
Carol
Yesterday: Best: IT RAINED! only a little , but I felt like I could believe in life again....it's been too hot without rain
Worst: some of my fave plants got wilted before it rained, don't know if they'll make it or not.
What I learned: Well, really more personal stuff, but I think sometimes I don't like to look at things maturely, but when I do it clears things up.
morning all,
carol, sounds like you had a great time with your sister, summer yes its almost over:(
tropicanna, hope your plants survive more rain in the forecast for you? were geting the heat again.
betty, i bet your feeling pretty tired lol now that would of done me in. i have one of those from weight watchers there great sometimes i wear it at work to see how much i walk in the building , i hope you feel better i started antibiotics this morning cant wait to go to work finish my 8 hours and hit the couch i have a pic of the devil dog who ate our candy she's just a fiesty as ever today.
everyone have a great day liz
your not alone betty, im lurking... just trying to get better..... i really think that i am very run down physically and emotionally.
anyone who has any suggestions of what i can do to help myself... herbal teas....anything really.... lots of prayers then let me know!
i havnt even had the energy to do any craft for goodness sake!
but spring is on the way and the orchids are starting to bloom. that should cheer things up!
nite nite....
xx
Liz..hope medication is helping..now isn't that a photo of pure innocence...lol...I don't have the 'walk timer' just the points calculator...I'd be wasting my time with the walk timer as I just sit..that's half my problem..should close my door and do a fitness program every few hours..who knows maybe I could teach line dancing in the hallway..lol...
Laura, so sorry you are not feeling up to par..tiredness sure can result from stress..you don't want to fall into a depression..only thing I could suggest would be that regardless how difficult it is to motivate yourself, exercise..do something for YOU..perhaps get something from the doctor....you've had so much on your plate of late but YOU are a fighter and you just need to regain some energy...
Carol, sounds like you really had a wonderful trip and visit with family..oh how I love Montreal..guess because I'm french, it makes me feel like I'm 'home'...I forget the name of the Hotel that features Octoberfest each and every night..was sooo much fun, stage shows and all..I especially loved "Cave des Moines" it is a restaurant run by Monks..each table is set inside a cave..total blackness, candles on the table...food makes one drool..just love it..maybe I'll get a few friends together and make another visit...lol...you've tempted me girl...your sister still has quite a drive to London..but, she'll be home tonight if she's leaving this morning...so much fun to have a sister to do things with..my sister who is 8 years younger than I has lung problems..breeding dogs with mega hair doesn't help..but anyway..we mostly talk on MSN because as soon as she starts to talk she has no breath and starts coughing and gagging...terrible disease...so, you enjoy yours...
Trop..I would think that now you have rain, your plants will flourish..let's hope..fall is coming soon enough...it's almost time to start deadheading mine, but that brings reality..summer is almost over....
Liz, I'm not tired this morning..even danced 1/2 hr. before leaving the house..brought 12 Christmas balls to work on..boss just came in and said negotiations have come to an end and was accepted... final offer 1.25million dollars..ouch..so, now he's got to finalize financial part of it..he said it would close mid October..then reno's for a month or so..he hopes that when we close for Christmas the move will take place and we'll be in our new location Jan. 2008...now that would be a treat...1/2 the miles...so lets hope the $$$ comes through...big undertaking for him..also has to rent a satelite office here in the city but I wouldn't be one of them that travels...lucky me...I'm hoping that perhaps I can squeeze an extra week out of the holidays..mom/stepfather in Clearwater..will be spending it with them..and..I'm just so excited..I can take a day trip over to visit with Judy-Seedtosser who will be in St. Augustine at same time..won't that be wonderful..also, just may be travelling on my own so will get my trusty map out and if some are on my way (or not too far off beaten track) I might stop in for tea....it will fun scheduling it..I'm hoping to leave around Dec.20th.so good Lord willing..that's my plan..HE may have others!

I am hoping for more rain, I guess we got about an inch which was brely enough to bring some things back to life. I watered 3 times on Sunday and Monday morning everything was bone dry if that gives an idea...enough complaining for now...;)
Had a light mist last night..only parts of the ground showed wetness..sure could use some, but not on the weekend..tooo picky aren't we..
Good Day!
Missed you all yesterday! I had an incredibly busy day-whew go..go..go, But that was really great, got most everything done until my Printer decided to give up! Arrr, just a bit frustrating on that one but oh well it will be fixed.
One of my bests, Took DS school shopping, hahaha nothing like the last minute, he started today LOL but we got Every item on his list! We had a ton of fun shopping and then went to get a few items of clothing. Wahhhh! My boy is growing up-No more boy sizes. Last time I took him to get shoes we were wearing the same size boys 5, last night A mans 9!! OMG this kid is going to be a giant!... We have this school shopping thing down to a fine science, so we whirled around at one store "Walmart" for about 5 minutes-Boy that was dumb...The place was a madhouse with other last minuters...they were wiped out of stuff.So...Son and I laughed and left-Went to Walgreens and got all but two items...Back to walmart to get clothes and one of the last graph paper spirals. We did this in record time 2 Hours and under $200!! Hahaha dad said he was handing that chore to me from now on.
...Ok funny story. When we got home dad in the kitchen fighting with a pair of tongs, not so funny to him but we were in stitches. Dh can be very animated and exaggerates things that bother him. So here he was in the kitchen trying to piece this utensil back together, I reach up and get the other set and hand it to him, and say here babe this will work just the same. He huffs at me and says well I just don’t understand why these ones have to break! All I have been trying to do since getting home early is cook dinner. ..I say ok so what’s the problem? Oh gosh why did I ask? He huffs and puffs how one thing after another has gone wrong. First the light bulb blew out and he had to search for a light bulb so he can cook Then… the igniter on the grill went out. So he went about searching the drawers for the instruction booklet …couldn’t find it,... a lighter could not be used because the flame to short to reach whatever, so he sets out to find matches. Not in any place that he stashes them. Why because we are out to aggrevate the man trying to cook our dinner! I say as calmly as I could so how did you fire up the grill? I am ready to burst in laughter , as he telling me his tale of woah all the while arms flailing in the air as he is gesturing the goings on how the girls stole the matches…why they need matches he doesn’t know, I calmly say they use it to soften eyeliner. Well he goes off again to say they cant use his matches, shaking his head as he continues on to say he found a bottle rocket. Now I am scared, my eyebrows go up and I said you lit the grill with that? Wrong thing to say…Well I searched this whole house for an hour and couldn’t find a single match and how come you don’t have any matches laying around. I couldn’t help the smile on my face and say B E C A U S E –I use a lighter. So anyway he says, I ripped off the rocket part and got the grill started with the stick I lit from the stove. Whew thank goodness you found that I said. So now we are giggling at his annmations, he gives us this oh so scary stern expression how this is not funny. We agree, not funny at all. He continues on…no it was not funny when the police arrived. What? you called the police for stolen matches?!? NO he says, I lit the grill then lit and tossed the rocket into the yard! You know, it whistled and then Bang it blew! Next thing I know there is cop in our yard reprimanding me fore fireworks…. Now I really loose it got tears from laughing so hard and he is shaking his head saying how not funny it is. I look in all serious fashion and ask well did he give you a ticket. Luckily No, The cop just was scolding how it’s a 500 dollar fine for having fireworks. Wanted to know where DH got it. Dh was now so frustrated he goes off n a tangent to the policeman on how he was just trying to light his grill for an early dinner. The police, was trying to hold a straight face himself and says to DH, well I better not here any more fireworks here and turns to leave.
Now it is 8:30 at night and we are still waiting for dinner to finish, a new set of tongs are in hand. As table being set I dare to light a cigarette with the matches I pulled from my pocket! Now it was DS’s turn to loose it…Shaking his head laughing while saying mom you better not let dad see those, hahaha we laugh some more.
Julia come strolling in, wanting to know what was so funny…and the Annimated story is retold.
Later, as I was sitting on the bed emptying my pockets, tossing stuff on my night table, What do you think I saw? Not one but 3 books of matches! Guess he didn’t look while he was searching! All I could do was laugh some more, not funny he says.
Hahaha, and just because he says we are not to tell this story! Who do I tell first,
My good friends here on DG, not only one person gets to get a chuckle but an entire thread…Am I a brat or what? And I wrote it in my journal too.
Well be back later –
Hope you are all having a good day
So funny...Judy I should call tonight and ask him if he has a match...NOT...probably you'd really see the theatrics...lol...
Girlfriend from up north drove down..took her to Ezzewear and she purchased 4 outfits..she's 6'2" hard to find clothes to fit..well, they have clothing with length..was running late so dropped in to cafeteria and bought fruit.. she was just sooo excited..said she'd be back on the weekend and brings her daughters...so that was fun...
Kids sure do grow quickly don't they..Kyle and Noah were over for the night on Sat. and Kyle just at the point..turning 12, but looks so much like a young teen..before you know it..no young ones...did you say your school started today...bet there are a lot of happy 'moms' always so nice to get back into a routine...
Well, better finish my fruit...1 hr and 15 minute and home we go..might even stop off and look at the building we're getting...how wonderful it will be...badside...Paul said that we'd then be working 5 days a week from 9 to 4:30...but, he forgets the feminine wails of a woman..we'll con him in to at least 1:00 on Fridays..lol..of course, girls already elected me to be the spokeswoman because they say he won't say 'no' to me...
Keep thinking about Christmas holidays...can't wait...won't it be fun to visit with each other...
BIL's on a high..sure hope everything goes smoothly for him re our move...
Hi again,
Liz-I hope those anti-B's work quick for you! LOL, bummer on the candy eating stinker with the innocent cuteness. Makes it kind of hard to be upset at him for very long.. He probably won't "steal" candy again for a while...well maybe.
Laura, I didn't realize you are in winter! No wonder you are feeling down, sounds like the winter blues, cabin fever maybe...Do you have a fireplace? maybe light a nice fire and relax, with a good book. or curl up and catch a good movie. I'll keep praying you feel better and get re-engergized. Like you said spring is on the way.
Fall is heading our way-
Carol, Your visit with your sister sounds so wonderful! I am glad you were able to spend time together. Hope her trip home is safe.
Tropi-I think we are getting EVERYBODY s rain! yow I will go out tonight and see if I can shoo it out to share with you and anyone else that needs it. I hope your plant makes it through.
Betty, that would be funny...Although then he would know i was a blabbermouth with his story. (like he doesn't know) LOL.
Oh my, it's amazing how kids get older like that huh, Right before our eyes.
I am so looking forward to Christmas break as well. Visiting over coffee in person will be excellent! Can't wait myself.
Well my day here is done,

Judy

Mt GD is quite the chatterbox too they are a light in my life i can tell you. i have a wonderful husband, great kids, beautiful grandkids..... i am blessed and fortunate... i will dwell on these things today along with the love and support of all my friends on DG, i am sure in no time i will feel better.
xx
No such thing as complainers on this thread..when one is having a problem, it concerns us all..know we worry about each other..so DO NOT stop from telling us your true feelings..would hate that you say you are doing fine and not be....things will take a turn for the better, that I'm sure....
evening all,
judy,do you tripple dare me....... can i send him a box full of matches lol,omg that was good got a good laugh out of that one great story oh i know she was out of the dog house two hours after she ate all the candy.

tropicanna, hope you get some rain soon
best:comming home to wind down
worst:boss was a p.i.t.a today just on some power trip i think she had a black cloud haning over her head drove us all nuts
learned: learned from my other neighbor that the neighbors who moved out across the street from us had a eviction notice on their door hmmmm wonder what they did they were the nicest and quietest people
everyone have a great evening liz
Yesterday Best: OMG! It rained again! I'm going to keep being cynical about it and daring it to rain and maybe we'll get caught up here.
Worst: work-related...fun, fun
What I learned: It is not too bright to try abnd plant rhododendrons this time of year, mine look pitiful and can't get enough water right now.
And oh yeah
Seedtosser, that story cracked me up...not to be mean in any way, but it reinforces my theory that most men can't observe the obvious.
Best - My mom here until Sunday!
Worst - Mom leaves Sunday and then school Monday
Learned - I don't have to do EVERYTHING in one day and that's OK.
-Kim
hello,
thanks betty, just wanted to make sure i wasnt bugging everyone. well i had the meeting today and my manager has won. they refuse to let me test saying if i cant do all the tests that iam alotted in the day for any reason, i am not allowed to test full stop. they dont want to let me have someone to help if i cant go out every now and then as she complained to her boss that it would interupt the flow of business. what a load of rot!
so, here iam back a square one... i did the exams and i passed so that is something. i am on the mend as my throat is better and the cough will eventually go to i guess.
that story was such a crack up... i needed a laugh!
cant wait for the weekend, sunny all weekend, you know that blue sky gardening kinda day? MMMM LOVE IT....
OOOOOOPS.....LOST THIS THREAD!!!!!!! How did that happen??? couldn't figure out why you guys weren't posting...now I have tons of catching up to do......
welcome back sharran lol
tropicana, glad you got more rain
betty where are you this morning? were you line dancing and ran out of time lol
laura, thats awful is there no one else higher you can talk to
everyone have a wonderful day
Morning...dropped off in Barrie to do some shopping last night, bought myself a few treats..(not food related) lol..then when I got home put sprinklers on and went to visit neighbors..Bernice had said they were putting up their house for sale but I hadn't seen a sign so I was just so pleased to have them stay..such wonderful people..dropped in to check on them and their daughter Michelle and her family who have been with them off and on all summer due to marital problems...only to find out that the sign 'For Sale' goes up this morning and also that Michelle is in a depression state..still no signs of appt.house rental..so stayed there for an hour or so..got home, had 'soup' fed animals and thought I'd better laydown and stop thinking of 'food/food'...was no sooner sound asleep when the telephone rang..a friend Christine who has a resort and rents cottages up north but who lives the rest of the year in Toronto called to apologize for not dropping in of late..said she was somewhere, bought a large supply of glass paints and wanted to drop it off to me..so guess the best thing of the day was setting up a time on Friday morning for her to visit..she's such a dear..she's back in the city full time as of Monday as she starts teaching next week...one of her main reasons for calling also was to find out when I do my 'family and friend' crafts day..started with about 4 and now I do 3 or 4 different 'one day workshops' and sometimes have as many as 20 in each...boss is kind enough to give me some days off in which to do them..that's usually my Christmas vacation money...
Today Paul called in and will be working from home, asked if I could entertain myself..well, I have a closet in the office full of craft materials so not a problem...so am sitting at my desk doing Georgian Bay scenes on Christmas balls...wonder who they are for..lol..Liz, think you are the only one who sent me your address when I asked who wanted one..guess others were not interested....I'll probably mail yours next week..trying to figure out how I can package them so they don't get smashed..thought I had done a good job last year when on another site I did a 'christmas decoration' exchange..one of the 8 I sent broke...have to check around...so easy to break...
Laura, so sorry to hear that you've taken another step backwards..is there no higher boss you could bring your situation to? Maybe it's time you move away from stressful situations, gain your self esteem, your health and then see which route you wish to take..
Shar...just thought maybe you needed some time...but so nice to see you posting...no package yet? Can't believe in this day and age that it will take up to 2 weeks...guess it's customs...
Kim, high to Mom..hope you both are enjoying this time together...I am looking forward to spending time with mom in Clearwater, Florida this Christmas...it's always fun to get spoilt...lol..am sure your mom is no different..we're always children in their eyes..as are our children!
Trop..how's the garden going? Rained part of the night at home and this morning when I left it was just sprinkling...no watering tonight..calling for more of the same..so, will have to organize myself for a few more inside projects for the weekend..did my shopping list for supplies this am....no more slouching..must accomplish something...
Grandson's birthday today..youngest of the 4 and he turns '8'..called but they are up at the cottage so will wait till next week...Jeff said they'd come up for a day or so...
So, if any of you are bored..I'm sitting here painting and trying to fill in my day....
I learned a lesson at work that I didn't want to learn. Ever. I almost quit. We have one slacker at work, so involved in her personal life and on her cell phone continuously that she gets little done. She only works 2 hours a day. I have continually had to do her filing, empty trash (she's supposed to be keeping the office clean). Well, the boss, who is a pastor, apparently forgives everything except the abuse I get. So it seems, some of these chores fell on me. But I will no longer file anything, no matter how important or necessary to keep the office in order, unless it is a file I have worked on. I will no longer pick up after people. In other words, I will no longer be conscientious except for what I directly work on.
My spousal unit told me that it was common in the workplace (he used to work in industry) that the more you did, the more you were expected to do, and the slackers were even resentful that you didn't do more.
woodspirit, your husband is correct. I hated that about supervising, some people you could rely on, and some you just couldn't.
Have you spoken with your boss about how you feel? Something to the effect of, "I don't mind doing my job, but it's hard to do my job to the best of my ability when someone else's work is falling on me to complete"...I've had to have those conversations with bosses before, and things did get redistributed more properly. Good luck, I know from what I could tell from the RU that you're a motivated person and probably someone they wouldn't want to lose.
Welcome Woodspirit..very interesting post..I'm with Trop as well, this is far more the norm than not..was a manager at both American Express and Township of Georgian Bay...not an easy position to be sure..many times when you see the work done, everything in order you ASSUME those who were given the tasks did complete them unless someone came to me with a situation similar to yours...often, we, who have a commitment to those we work for, who go far beyond duties delagated create some of the situations ourselves by doing the work our co-workers are to do, for the satisfaction of seeing it done...I would most certainly go to your employer and speak frankly with him..perhaps he has no idea..maybe he should, but just maybe he doesn't..things could then change so that you again enjoy the field you are working in...
Just got back from lunch...came up with a great idea..I purchased a birdcage at a garage sale, thought it might be decorative on back deck..well today I dropped in to a florist shop and they had a to size 'budgie'..it is light and motion activated...he chirps, turns his head..so cute..so, he just had to come home with me...Lordy, lordy I'm loosing it....lol...
Anyway, just remembered I had a webcam and it takes photo's (always talking with girlfriends on MSN ..nice to see each other when talking) so thought I'd post the box I just sketched..never do 2 the same...have them all lined up..as soon as they are sketched I'll paint them...have a photo of my finished ones so you know where I'm going...
nice painting!
hoolo you, nice to see you....
your so talented..... if only i had half of your talent!
slowly mending... day off today and the sun is out!
woohoooo
Great that you are resting...day off..now what will you do for yourself...please say you will do 'something' to pamper yourself...
Stopped in Barrie tonight and did a bit of shopping...got home about 7:30..trying to think about taking a trip into Midland tonight (10 minutes away) to purchase trim for the tea room and another black can of spray paint for the birdhouse...(must match you know with other metal items) cat's are not too certain about this 'budgie' quite a show actually because as soon as they go near it, it get activated and they just slither along the floor waiting for it to move...cheap entertainment really...say it...YOU REALLY need a life...you are loosing it..but think it will look sweet on back deck..will pick up some time of ivy/flower to do an arrangement on the top of it...geraniums maybe...so, am off for an hour or so..quick trip to town to early in am I can finish this project...hmmmm
evening all,
omg betty those are beautiful, where is bernice moving to?staying in the same city or further away oh how funny i bet the cats are going to go crazy trying to figure out how there going to get that bird cant wait to see the bird cage sounds nice
laura hope you rested today
blukat, have a wonderful visit with your mom
woodspirit, welcome, slakers are difficult! and out here they know the law i use to work with a few and its quite fustrating when they get away with everything best of luck with your situation keep us posted
best: got my yearly review today scored high
worst: using the wrong kind of saw at work to cut a peice out in a peg board so the light switch would be accessable i just had the jig saw out, packed it away the boss said oh just use this one and i broke the light switch plate.
learned: when you buy new shoes break them in before you wear them at work i had the boss in tears all day laughing hysterical everytime she looked at me i got the worst blisters and had to be creative and use peices of folded paper towels and attach them with the clear box tape we use for shipping just couldnt win
everyone have a wonderful evening iz
well.... out shopping all day with my DD and GD and GS so no but it was pleasant enough.
sunday i am going for a drive into the country for a picnic with my lovely husband so that will be a good day. the weather is going to be great!
we may go to governor island which is a historic site. it has a long walk you can take around the island and then go for devonshire tea! maybe we will go there... either way it will be restful and lovely to spend time with him.
thanks for thinking of me.
xx
Morning all,
Well did make it into Midland last night..managed to do everything at Walmart but just as I entered Home Depot the cashier said 'sorry we are closed' thought they were open later than 9pm...so that will warrant another trip into town today or tomorrow...birdcage is now black..picked up a few flowers to do arrangement on it...also some material to complete the quilted jacket..
Sprinkling ever so lightly when I went out this morning to let the animals out..just enough so I will not be able to cut grass..so it probably will be an inside 'project' day...girlfriend Christine is dropping in this morning with glass paints that she picked up somewhere for me so will have to see what can be done with them....she's the nicest lady..well of course all my friends are..lol...some people hit the 'jackpot' when it comes to friends...
So I'm off to make myself beautiful, laundy is on, I'm swift the floors, bed made..dusting done and it's now time for breakfast and play..
Will visit from time to time today...hoping you enjoy your day and share what you have planned....
