Hey, we'll have an hour or so to find out! Muha-ha-ha-ha....
Fall 2007 RU
I don't really have a place. Been fooling everyone for months now. I am inmate number 454988300 using the computer here in Sing Sing. Been photographing the prison garden that I supervise. Sorry for the deception.
LOL Victor.. The gardening inmate.. Ya sure you not in GreenHaven?? :)
Oh, waaaayyyy too funny!
I think you're just looking for an excuse to avoid us
Ha - good one lcosden! I'm in for what can be described as dead heading. He never should have touched my Petunia.
lol!!!!!!
Too much thyme.
So ... a question for you all. I have never been to an Round Up before. What does one bring, other than oneself?
lol.. Victor in a tizzy over deadheading petunias..
No I dead headed the guy who touched my Petunia. Hence the incarceration.
LOL.. Victor.. Taught that guy a lesson huh.. Don't touch your flowers.. :)
Ouch!
Candyce, usually people bring food and plants to trade... but that's what happened in my house and to the one I attended in CA... but I guess we can do whatever we want...
Victor should I post the link to that site we think you owe????
The pest control one? In the joint we have a different way of handling pests.
We aren't meeting at anyone's house this time, right? We are going to Logees.
That's what I had though.. I'm waiting to hear if I'm going to be around or not.. I've wanted to see Logees for a while now.. Just need to get over there..
yes.... Loggees is it!!!
If we are touring Loggees then, there wouldn't be any plant or seed trading? I had hoped to trade some seeds at least.
Is there a family style restaurant neaby that we could go for a bite to eat afterwards? Or even a rest stop that we could hang out at for awhile?
That would be great!! A restaurant, a rest stop, whatever ... as long as we can all chat with each other.
Here are some restaurants (1)open for lunch (2)not too expensive and (3) reasonably near Logee's. $ Ratings are from a list of Wyndham county restaurants. I have been to the Vanilla Bean Cafe in Pomfret and recommend it. The Thai Basil place is on the same street as Logee's. I have also visited a nice deli on Main St. North of Logee's but I can't find it on the web. Maybe defunct. Has anyone visited any of these?

Wow! That was a quick response. I hope everyone reads the list and opts for one of the restaurants, especially if they know something about it.
Funny, I didn't realize that Dayville was so close by. There is a branch there of the company my daughter works for. Anyone hear of United Natural Foods?
Kassia, You can put me on the definately attending list.
I've heard about the plant trading that has happened at other RUps and have repotted and started rooting some angel trumpets to bring with me. But if we're meeting at a nursery, I 'm guessing that trading plants would be really bad manners. :-)
As far as restaurants go, I haven't a clue. I've never been down that way. I'll just follow the leader.
LoraB.
Lora:
As far as I can guess, there's nothing that says we couldn't trade after we toured Louggee's.
Where would we have the part where everyone divvies up everyone else's leftover plants, cuttings, non-native invasives, wintersown extras, yadda yadda? That's the best part. And does Logees know we're descending on them en masse? I'd like to go with someone else, too, any volunteers?
xx, C
PS I live right off Rt 128 (aka I 95). Andy would be right on the way. Anyone going South from ohhh Billerica or N of Boston would be able to swing by easily. I don't trust myself to find someone else's house - ask Kassia (or Debi Z) how much trouble I had finding their places. Victor, I would LOVE to come see your joint, too.
xxx, Carrie
Lora:
Put me on the list for your purple coneflowers, if you would. I am hoping that at some point we would be able to trade plants and seeds.
All I have are columbine seeds, though - if anyone is interested.
LOL!
I'm happy to volunteer, Carrie!
Lora - D-mailing you now.
x, Carrie
My idea was visit Logees then gather at a restaurant, ideally one with a seperate room and a lot of patience. Don, thanks for the research. I will call logees. We can do more research on the restaurants, as it draws closer, BUT does this seem like a good idea to the rest of you??
Don, You interested in car pooling? We can check with David too.
ok... i talked with my bf's mom.... and we are both going to take a ride up to meet with you guys.... can't wait to see logees and all of you
Allison
Wow! DH might actually come with me and then drag me to a drum corps show afterward! Will wonders never cease?
x,C
This is so great! It will be wonderful to meet so many of you! Anna, my DD and the originator of all our gardens, should be coming with me. Hopefully, we will also be sans kiddos.
What a treat for us!!
Any public parks nearby where we could hang out - weather permitting?
Dave, sounds like a good idea to me.
Harper
I like AYankeeCat's idea.. We can hang out at a park, maybe even do a potluck or picnic instead.. :) Guess that would be a lot of work though.. Hum.. And need to be organized too.. Hum.. Okay. Nevermind my potluck/picnic idea..
