Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

ME TOO! But I will have a grand time in Utah with the grandchildren, although I'm sure it will feel different when they're flesh of my flesh.... a little. Maybe. I do love buying them things and then seeing pictures of them wearing them! But they don't treat me like Grandma, or maybe they don't treat me like Mrs. Grandpa. I'm just this lady who comes and hangs around whenever Grandpa visits.

You can stop at the Sagamore for brunch when you bring the little one to the Great Escape. Might be a few years though.

Dear Carrie et al.,
My sister marched with the Crossmen of Delaware County back near their inception some 30 years ago. She played baritone bugle. They went to DCI many times and summer tours. We sold Mrs. Smith's pies to finance part of the tours.
Don, the UMass tubas are a universe unto themselves. They are 20 strong and you should see them "Tuba Dancing" at the games and elsewhere. Get up out of that chair, man, and play "Hey, baby"!
Everyone who is a BC fan, we are miffed at them at the moment because they "didn't have room for our band" and the band not invited to the away game yesterday. Hence, the football team only managed two touchdowns, score 24-14 Boston. Had the band been there...
Can you see my baby in this picture? LOL! She's in the right hand leg of the "M". Of course, you can! Go, UMASS!

Martha!!!!
My DH wants to know if you know Maureen Fallon, Ray Eyler or Mike Dennis? DH taught the Crossmen in 1991 and his son marched with them for 1991 - 93.

I wouldn't, and my sister marched for them back in the 70's. She might. I will ask her. I know they have an alumni web page. She is the mother of a drummer now. I am the mother of the brass player in the family. I helped make the first sashes that they wear. I am sure they are storebought uniforms now, but the first crossmen sashes were handmade!

Do you mean the "X" that goes across the uniform? My DH boasts that he saw the FIRST competition show in 1976, they were wearing navy blue utility overalls with red homemade crosses across the chest and cowboy hats. They were a merger of two local drum corps and they are now from TEXAS! He says tell your sister HE TAUGHT THE '78 BRIDGEMEN!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Sounds like so much fun, you guys! Enjoy and take good pics so I can see! Wish I could be there too........I'll be looking forward to reading all about it and what each one of you orders at the restaurant, and what plants you buy, etc!!! LOL

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

I was wondering, is there anyone living near Plymouth County, who'd be able to give me a lift to the RU? That would be the only way I could go.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Sorry macc, I don't. But I wanted to say hello and welcome!
