Fall 2007 RU

Hello my dear DG NE gardening friends!!!! since we could not ALL get together in May, let's try for the FALL!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

It was so good to meet some of you that I want more!!!! so suggestions for place was CT - sorry Dave, I forgot the name of the garden you suggested!!!!!!

now let's choose a date...please!!!!

I wanna go (whine). I feel sorry for myself living so far most of you guys. and I would LOVE to see Logee's. I look thru their catalog in great detail every time it comes and want one of everything. I've never ordered, though. I'm afraid of what might happen...I can just see a box 12' x 12' showing up at my front door and the end of my 39yr marriage!

ps...if anyone asks if I want cheese with that whine they are banned from posting for 24 hours LOL

grampapa--I resemble that whine too...I am with you about the distance away from the New Englanders. I do have an hour on you for heading that way though.

I told myself that I would take the drive next RU (the Spring one looked like a lot of fun), but that date is my twin's big football game against our local rivals...whine again.

I hope you all have fun and please post photos again!

Sounds good. I will do some research on eateries in the vicinity. If there will be a lot of people, someone should warn Logee's so they will be aware of it.

WHINE? I'll give you whine...
I can never go ANYWHERE or meet ANYONE because I have to work 7 days and 2 nights a week plus side jobs designing and installing and maintaining other peoples gardens (except for Jan and Feb when it goes down to a mere 5 days and 2 nights) and my pathetic 20 year old station wagon isn't safe or reliable for more than 10 miles at a shot and I don't see any of this ending for at least 8 years when my youngest graduates from college and in the mean time my daughters' loser deadbeat father is living the life of Riley with his rent free living situation and his boat and 5 Harleys and brand new SAAB convertable and his 2 year old truck and his 100s of thousands of dollars sitting in the bank and I can't even afford the retainer to hire a lawyer to take him back to court to get all the past due funds he owes his children and me for 7 years of non-compliance and my gutters are literally falling off the house and the windows leak so bad I have towels duct taped into all of them and the floor in my bedroom and living room is ASBESTOS and the basement has enough water running thorugh it that I'm thinking of stocking trout there and I WANNA COME meet you guys and see a beautiful garden and have some kind of life that does not involve working to make not enough money to live without getting further in debt every year.

Oct 6th.. Humm... I've always wanted to go to Logees and now possiblilty of meeting other DGers.. Humm... I will try but not sure since I travel almost full time.. I can very well be in another country that week for all I know. So, as time gets closer, I might have a more diffinitive view of my schedue. So, I will post again on if I can make this or not.. This newbie hopes to meet everyone there though..

Well this sounds like a great time and I would love to see Logees . Meeting all the new people here would be a kick too, but I have my Mom who is 94 and I must be here all the time. Believe me a day or two out would be a thrill! Like everyone says take massive amounts of pics to share. :)

I got so excited that I didn't even calculate how far away this RU might be for me. Could someone give me an exact location so that I could mapquest it or something? Please?

hey you guys.... if I drove 438 miles to meet one of the most amazing person...anyone can do!!! totally worth meeting the NE people... take my word for it.... I have met already several and so far EVERYONE is so absolulty nice...so don't think of distance.... just of so much fun meeting the people you already talk to online!

It will be a two-and-a-half hour drive for me, and I HATE to drive. But the 'prize' at the other end of this journey will be so worth it. By 'prize' I mean meeting all of you!!

From experience - it is more fun making the lo-o-o-ng drive to a RU if you go with someone else. Harper was kind enough to let me ride with her to the Spring RU and now we both have a new friend!

Well, I hope I can persuade SOMEONE (are you listening, Louise?) to drive with me. And, maybe Anna and I can take the same time off from the younger kids - who knows - stranger things have happened.

come on everyone .... come.... it will be the best!!!! I just went on a job interview today... if they hire me I am telling them which weekends I can't work.... well I already told the recruiter person today I have a trip to CA end of september!!!!

You can count on me. My son's birthday is the 7th. If there's ANY reason I can't make it, it will be because it will interfere with his party. Don't have myself scheduled that far ahead...
