What's blooming today? #5

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Yes, that is latvia.
The white one must be endless love and metallic pink is rubies.
Baja I showed a couple of threads ago & everyone liked the yellow lily. But since it is orange, Not so good. you can see it in the background, on left, in this: http://davesgarden.com/forums/p.php?pid=3711066

You know your lilies!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

That looks like "Centerfold" actually! I know alot of the lilies that have been around awhile. There are new ones that I couldn't even guess on! This one for instance..it's new and I love it!

Very precious!

I assume 'My precious!' is from Lord of the Rings?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thats what im guessing.....I just love the form and colors.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hope it doesn't cause as much grief as the movie version.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Well, I just took some time to locate where to buy "My Precious" I think it will be an anniversary gift to me :-)

Just saw Two Towers last night for the first time. Finally saw the first one a couple of weeks ago. I see so many similarities with Harry Potter. Took my son to see five yesterday. I liked it, though it was not as good as some of the others.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I have more than enough yellow, orange, apricot, creamy and light pink DLs. Please recommend the best performing purples, lavenders and deep pinks (incl. raspberry, mauve, etc.). Preferably ones you have had a few seasons. Most blooms and long season are the main wants, other than the color quality. Thanks.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

This lisianthus is very dark purple :-)

Pixie - I really like Desert Song and the pink one.

I bought the echinops as small plants, they will reseed some in bare ground. Not as sharp as they look.

I did mention that I don't combine colors right or am I colorblind.LOL This is on my neighbors side.

Or maybe this orange ...

*sigh* I love them all!

Does anyone know what kind of bush this might be?
It's about 8 feet tall right now. It has little white to pinkish-white blossoms on it in the spring. It begins to leaf out at about the same time as the lilacs.

I just don't know what it is.

i love the Gazania too!... the orange is outstanding

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

It's a really 'hot' looking flower in the midst of the white and purple ones! That Gazania is very special to us - my little granddaughter picked it out to plant in our garden.

Here's just a nice mix of color from the front border.

I like them too. I have a bunch that are just about ready to bloom. I can't wait!

Marlborough, MA(Zone 5b)

Candy,
I,m not sure but it looks like it might be a member of the "Winter Berry" family. We have a bush just like it. It had little white flowers followed by red berries

Chuck - thanks for the guess. I'll see what I can find out about the 'winter berry' family of bushes (trees?).

Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I'm enjoying this thread so much. So many gorgeous flowers and photos. Yes, the Northeast Forum is the best!

Anita,
So nice to see your whole garden--it's beautiful.

Doppleganger Bee Balm? *lol* Had to show a picture of this strange thing. Does this happen often? (Bee Balm is new to me this year).

Was VERY excited today! Thought I saw a huge dragonfly buzzing around the garden......it was a Hummingbird! Was too fast for me to get a picture but I so enjoyed watching it!
