Wonderful artwork...every one of them.

Betty..you don't have a bragging bone in your body....can't imagine anyone interpreting sharing as bragging.

I hope darius is back by now and feeling well enough to let us know she is home.

Murmur.... ditto H doing the shopping and cooking here, too. Of course, I 'm on clean up. I'm the type to tidy up as I cook so when I'm done the kitchen looks as clean, often cleaner, than when I began. Not so with DH.....I find a sauce splatter or a bit of this or that from the previous night's dish on the ceiling more mornings than not. The man can make a mess of the wall next to the stove by simply boiling water, I swear.

Is mom in the lower right hand side of the eagle. I have had to stare at it several differant times at differant times in order to "find" it.
I have no artistic skill, none, nadda zip, zilch. I am so not into the "details" of things, I don't notice those things, I only see the big picture, so doing anything detailed is beyond my capability.

i'm home, had a nice nap. fools at the hosp still have NO idea what's causing the pain. no abcess, no blockage so it probably ulitmately means a referral to a specialist at cleveland clinic, johns hopkins or at the bottom of the list, UVA in charlottesville.

rats.

Rutland , MA(Zone 5b)

i'ved been gone way to long.
gillibean - what dine of job gives you 7 weeks vacation at one time??

wonder - forget garden stuff for your birthday. think 5 inch heels and that tiny black dress.

susan - i would have paid to have your subscription renewed. now that i have found you i ain't gonna lose you.

worst thing - my wife is in main attending our nephews future brides bridal party
best thing - i get the computer all to myself for the whole night.

what i learned today - its nice to be appreciated.

have a great evening or day

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

hahah herbie your the living end! and sweet as apple pie... mmm apple pie.... lol

betty you are amazing there is no doubt! i cant believe the things you do and if i had the chance i would be there in a flash! that floor is amazing and guess what, i nearly bought the same couch!

you are all so talented!! im digging around in the shed today and im getting our my craft goodies. my DD does scapbooking, anyone do that? any ideas?

darius, im sorry your not well, hugs to you.
what wonderful, wonderful people you all are......im blessed.

Chester County, PA(Zone 6b)

Thank you Darius. Not good but at least you are home. Wondering if anything seems to help with the pain?

Best? No more work til Monday.

Worst? Left the small bag I keep my credit cards & cash in at work and had to turn around and go back again.

Learned? Too many chiefs and too few indians makes for a tense work environment.

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

tangie, ibuprofen (600-800 mg) works as well as anything. i'm allergic to so many meds.

thanks for the good thoughts!

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

Tangie, DH and I have the same thing here - if I happen to cook (try not to!), I clean as I go and it's no big deal after dinner. But DH on the other hand, uses every pot and pan in the house and makes messes that are unbelievable. However, I hate to cook - and he cooks for my elderly parents as well so I really can't complain (at least not about that).

Darius, doggone it anyway - this must be so hard on you . . . I can't even imagine!!!

Herbie, don't tell anybody, but I'm sure glad you're back!

Nipomo, CA(Zone 8a)

I scrapbook when I have the time. I go on a three day scrapbooking trip with my friends every year. For those who aren't into scrapbooking you wouldn't understand a whole weekend dedicated to that but time flies. It is an expensive hobby. I have put myself on a tight leash. I unearthed three bags of goodies that I have bought months ago, not even touched. SO I cannot buy more until I really NEED it. I have more than I will ever use but there is so much cute stuff out there.

*waves at Herbie* Hi Herbie, I am Jan.

Good, Darius... I'm glad you have something that at least takes the sharpest edge off. Good thoughts? Always.

Murmur...the *mess it up/use every utensil and pot in the kitchen* trait must be genetically linked to the Y chromosome somehow. I think H gradually learned to shop and cook because food just isn't important to me.....but is very important to him.

Wishing everyone a restful night...ttyt

OMG...look at those photo's, I'm just flying high..I'm so excited..it's like being here with all my friends and sharring craft projects..you guys/girls are the greatest..Herbie, tell us about your hobby...

I really want to sit here and reply to all your posts..but as you see from the time I've had a long day..did get mom's lamp fixed, did 10 rhubbarb leaves for her walkway and I even suggested to my dear step-father that I was ready to take on the pond..she bought 2 large ground inserts/pump but he said he was much too tired..said he couldn't keep up to me lol...so I accomplished much..

Best things today was spending the day with stepfather, where's mom you ask...she thought I was coming on Sunday AND Rama Casino is about 10 miles from her house so guess where mommy was...so at 7:15 I drove to pick her up..she loved everything we did, even the rhubbarb sauce with stalks left over from cement leaves...

Then I arrive home, just walk in the door and Kyle called me and said he just got home from the cottage..been gone since last Friday, and he was so excited that off I went for short visit..he won the 'bass tournament' received all kinds of gift certificates, guitar, trophy etc. and Noah (who stayed at the cottage with grandma) had won the door prize..a new bike..so everyone was 'happy' Greg (my eldest) was at a golf tournament today and called home to say he won a 'large t.v.' for his marks..so all and all it was quite a day...

Worse thing...hmmmm can't think of one....

What did I learn today...mom and Jim are too generous..hated to take the $1,000. she wanted to give me...said no 10 times, put the cheque away 10 times, she found it and I just found it in my purse...so that's parents for you..always looking after their kids..but, turning 60 in March ... no longer a 'kid' right!

I so do want to post to each and everyone of you, but I'm tired AND I haven't done my homework for class tomorrow..and..it's a pot luck and I haven't anything to bring...soooo I have to be up at the crack of dawn and get myself organized..don't even have my supplies in order...Soooo I'll say goodnight to you all, if I get up extra early in the morning I'll say 'hi' and then tomorrow night, I promise to gab with each of you...

You are all so much fun..so glad you are my DG friends...good Lord is good to me...

Oh, thought I'd post a few photo's...hope that's ok...

Victoria Harbour, ON

wow Kim...that's a lot of work..eyesight has to be good to accomplish it..and yes it most definately is 'art'...

Darius, worried about you 'sweetie'! How upset you must be...have they scheduled more tests for you? I'll have a 'special' talk with the Lord tonight and ask him to watch over you and restore your health..I've been a good girl today so I'm sure he'll treat me with a favor...

Wonder if it's 501's I think around 36.00 or so I'll check tomorrow if you like at a store here in town, if he'll wear a different style of levi's cheaper cause Wal-Mart carries them for less than 20.00. Check out this link it gives you price ranges for the different colors (stonewashed etc)

Betty, you're only about 3 1/2 years or so younger than I am, but I am absolutely exhausted just reading about what you do!!! How many cement leaves was that? Holy cow. Congrats to all your family!! (Kyle is adorable!)

Whew! Y'all sure were busy today!! All I can say to everyone is ... I'm on the wrooong thread! Everyone is so tallented! I don't have a tallented bone in my body! LOL Let's see now ... I can wash clothes, vacuum, cook and I can grow maters! That's about all. ;)

Believe it or not, there is not one thing in my home that I have crocheted. Everything is at my mother's house and will never be seen again.
