Dawn..what are you up to today? Is it also a holiday for you? Grass is turning green from the lovely light rain we've had over past couple of days...today sky is blue, calling for high temps in the 90's for Sat/Sun..Waiting on pins and needles for the boss to say work from home tomorrow..guess that's asking a lot as we had Friday off last week and Monday was a holiday, but doesn't hurt to hope...
If indeed I do work from home it's only till 1pm...then I'll go to mom's cottage..she has a list of things for me to do, i.e. wants 6 - 8 rhubbarb leaves made/ her paper tole light don't work, need new ones...tripped in stained glass floor lamp, wants me to repair it and she has 3 pieces for a pond..now tell me, I'm painting all day Sat. in Barrie, have to do yard work so where oh where will I get time to do these projects.oh well.. once she listed everything, she quickly said and by the way, I have the $1,000 gift for you...now spend it on something YOU want and don't tell the others....now I know my mom, she's probably told the other 3 the same thing..let's see who tattles....
Best Thing/Worse Thing and What did you learn today? Part 8
Nobody if you know whats good for you. lol My grandma was that way, told all the grandkids we were the favorite.
Well now you have to find time for it... ha? the ol' carrot on the stick straight to the hardware store...
I am trying to stay in with this record breaking heat, they think it will be 112 today. I can not do any gardening unless early or late. It will be late since I was up the entire night and fell asleep after DH went to work for a few hours.
I need to paint my kitchen and do a feaux technique to my walls in there and the family dining area too. I need to go buy the plaster and paint but I , unlike you now, have a huge Dodge Ram truck and I try to go to Home Depot when I have other things to run in town for sometimes, but this is a good cause so I may just go, I need more floor tiles too as I was laying them and ran out. I also need tarps so we can start priming the house to paint it burgundy and white so that is another project, but no other plans besides eating good and excercizing for a little.
You never have an idle moment. I feel old.
Wow Dawn..and you think I'm busy..I'm tired after reading your post..sounds like it will be gorgeous when it's done...
Thank goodness I don't have a truck when I go to Home Depot..I'd be in bigggg trouble..my favorite shopping haunt...
15 more minutes everyone...received a call from an individual who wanted to book an appt. next week, so I said self, this is an opportune time to find out about tomorrow..work or not work..so, I asked the potential client to wait on the line and I went into Paul's office and said "will you be in to take an appointment tomorrow? and he said, 'only if your coming in, then I'll come in!' soooo it took me 2 secs. to say, "NOPE, was thinking of staying home" so we all laughed and I book gentleman for Monday...soooo this week was also a 3 day work week..same pay..even took Suzanne and I out for lunch...think that will be my best of the day....lol
No one around today..everyone on holidays..see how much I look forward to your posts..sure do miss you all when you are not around..thank goodness for Dawn..she kept me busy most of the day....
hehehe-mom's and granny are just too cute that way!
Ok-so now I am feeling kinda guilty for being in such a laze mode. Better get myself out and finish up some projects.LOL...Uh right after I finish this Second post-Big bummer I hit the wrong darn x and lost the original so will try and duplicate as much as I can.
Well...I'm Back-Missed you all greatly. First Hope no one minds but am going to make one general post. Again!
Secondly, I wish to extend a warm Welcome to all new friends. I will enjoy sharing stories and everyday happenings. Glad to get to know you.
My Computer at home is Kaapooey!! A big big bummer. Whew lots of catching up to do.
Oh gosh, what little cuties you have. How cute is that getting the first tooth.
I really enjoyed the bedtime story. A smile at each chapter.
My eyes grew wide and smile too at all the beautiful scenery. From the day lilly gardens to humming birds (great shot) to the lands of field and trees surrounding such a lovely butterfly bush. Also the stunning English garden, truly a work of art.
I am keeping you in my prayers that all doc appts. have nothing but the best results and that your wait for results are as stress free as possible.
By the looks of all the posts, everyone seems to have had a wonderful weekend filled with family and friends.
I sure hope the missing kitty gets home soon. And Glad little Jazz's belly found his way. Speaking of... my Little "guy" screeching again! We came home to 2 eggs-poor birdie! She is nice and calm again.
I loved the fireworks you saw. Very cool you watched right from your front porch! We saw some spectacular show but forgot my camera. oh well.
Oh Darius, Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, anything i could do to help you out?
Betty, Thank you...Just for being you. I agree with Shar and the others. I ove the color of your car-Sunset orange fits it well in fact enclosed photo I took on Friday night might have you agree. (thats how I lost the orig. post so hopefully this one works.)
Well my Best-Spending the weekend with my Brother, sister and friends-Bittersweet lovley reunion.
Worst-No home computer.
Learned-The Spirit of Loved ones never leave me-TY B.
Well Hoping you all have a wonderful evening-see you tomorrow.
Judy
Hello! Taking a break and letting my arms rest from weed wacking! That is hard on the fore arms and I can only do so much. Should of stopped a bit sooner.
All the holiday plans sounded so nice. Hope kitty gets home soon.. That is so worrisome! That little Jazz what a tease!
Hard to believe we are almost to the weekend. I'll be working part of it so no plans. Still have tons of stuff to do here. We'll be back to regular hours in another week or so when the new Asst. Manager starts training. I just hope she works out and has brains and ambition.
Does anyone know where I can find a good definition for an Asst. Manager? I tried Goggle and no luck! The one Asst. Manager we have now says it is not her worry and I can tell her what to do! Which is good for me but not right!
Worst thing today:::::Running the weed wacker to long.
Best thing:::: day off and gotin a nap.
What I learned::::DH and I are both hard on weed wackers! LOL
Hoping the best for everyone.
Vicki
morning all.
what a lovely car!! and a gorgous colour! i wanted that colour for mine but there was a three month wait on it and i needed it sooner. i have a red one.
Do you all have custom number plated over there? You know, you can have your name or something on them? The cost $395 australian dollars so at the time i got the car salesman to throw them into the deal. mine says CNRED some dont get it, tell me if yuo do! lol
we are in winter at the moment helln but we do get very hot summers here. we are just coming out of a major drought and hoping that the rains will come and fill the catchment areas again. we have had floods in NSW which is about 12 hours from here and sadly there has been some deaths. its unusual for us. The weather is freaky these days but they say its all the climate change and such.
Its my brithday soon and the kids keep asking me what i want. Dont know! I dont know about you but as you get older it gets harder. I would like very much a table garden so maybe i will ask them to help with that. any ideas? i was thinking of getting some wood planks and making like a stepped multi level thing.... you know, not much room and all. our ouse blocks are small here. you can fit 8 house blocks on an acre just to give you an idea.
getting to see my grandson today and granddaughter which will be good. been quite lonely this week. my husband works nights and i work days so we only see each other on weekends and it gets hard sometimes. it would be lovely to have some of the projects you all do in those lovely gardens. keep those pics coming, it really makes me feel like im there! well at least i can pretend! lol
im getting my jewellry work out of the shed today and see whats there that i can make...
i will even get the camera out to try and take some pics to show you.
i need to be doing something... otherwise you think too much on other things dont you?
I hope that kitty comes home. i know how much pets mean to us. I had to put my lovely lucy down as she had a brain tumour and i was devestated. Of course i have leopold now and that really helps. he is too young to take for walks yet but we went away last weekend to philip island and stayed in a cottage bythe sea. we took him for a walk down there and he loved it!
well you all have a great day....
xx
Betty...thank you so much for the chair link. I see they are even more beautiful than I imagined. I also love the color of your car. So glad you don't have to travel to work tomorrow. I have a half day so not too bad. Enjoy being with your mom...you are lucky to have one another.
The fireworks pictures are wonderful. Thank you Sharon. So glad little Jazz showed up. Maybe eventually, you'll find his hidyhole...if you do, try to snap a pic of him in it for us....I'm sure it would be adorable.
Murmur....grateful that you can notice the day is beautiful amidst the worry over kitty. Still keeping a good thought. I know sometimes "not knowing" is the worst. I am thinking of you.
Dawn.....please loan me one tenth of your energy and ambition....I could use it here!
Thank you for the welcome Judy...I am Jan, and obviously, one of the new people who have been so graciously welcomed by this group.
Vicki....did you check wikipedia for the definition of asst manager? Of course, it's very generalized but I think it's an informative overview of the position.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assistant_Manager
Darius, thinking of you today and wishing good things for you....your last post here frightened me. I am worried.
Hope I haven't missed anyone...if so, please forgive...they do say the short term memory goes first.
From yesterday....
Worst - Rained all day so nothing outside got done
Best - Rained all day so I got a very rare nap in
Learned - Hope (or foolishness) does spring eternal....Last evening I ordered two packets of fragrant Nicotiana seeds. Yep...for this year. After all, it can't hurt to try.
tangie, i'm actually okay (i think) but i have another ct scan tomorrow because something isn't working right. i just hope for an easy fix.
yes, hope does spring eternal.
LOL Laura...you're not really *Seein' red* now, are you? That's cute!
Glad you are having some time today with your family. It's not good to be alone too much. I do love DH to pieces but I also love the times when I have the house to myself for a bit. The *D* in DH doesn't ALWAYS stand for Dear around here, lol.
I really would love to see pictures of your jewelry, if you do get that camera out.
Enjoy your day!
Wonder I bet Leo loved walking by water, did you get pictures of him? How is the weight loss going? You'll have to explain to me what a table garden is because I'm in the dark (stay that way about 99% of the time)
Betty I love the new car, looks very zippy! Have to let me know how much you can haul in it. We are soon going to have to replace the DH's Jeep and we've tossed around ideas about what to get him. I'd really like him to get a small truck but he's being a man and trying to talk his way into a sporty car (it ain't gonna happen) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that by the time we have to make the leap we can buy a hybrid small truck that isn't a Ford, as I don't do Found On Roads Dead.
Ves if use determines lifespans on weedwackers mine is gonna last forever! LOL

(((Darius))) Thank you...I am a tiny bit relieved now. I know you can handle the health issues, hard as they've been. Outpatient for the tests, I hope?
It is so frustrating when you know something is wrong and "they" can't figure it out...or worse, they don't listen or believe what you are telling them and just want to pat your hand and say "Now, now dear..." Whether it be a problem with the car or with your health...I despise being patronized.
I once drove my car an entire summer, taking it to the dealer at least seven times before the intermittent problem I was having arose while they were driving it. It was accelerating randomly, all on it's own and nearly caused me to crash into other cars at red lights and through storefronts in parking lots. And I do mean ACCELERATE....full speed, instantly, without warning. Could barely be stopped with the brake to the floor. Not fun.
The repairman at the dealership that was driving it when it finally did it's thing was actually weak in the knees when he got out of the car, it scared him that badly. He actually said to me "You NEVER should have been driving it like that. It's very dangerous. I'm surprised you haven't killed someone."
Well no kidding fella....What do you think I've been telling you for months now. But I was always told, "Nope, nothing wrong with it...are you sure it's doing what you're describing?"
Totally frustrating.
I am sending you my strongest "easiest fix" thoughts. Be well.
Best/Worst- found out UCLA will only cost us $1000.00 out of pocket for treatment of DH--the catch is that they will only treat him for 3-4 days, probably not long enough.
What did I learn:Not a darn thing!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey Dawn, I have heard enough of everyone's "rain" haven't you? :) I think I read somewhere that this has been the driest year for our county in 60 years!
Hey I'll send ya some cause SE Texas has more than our share...not sure how much ahead we are but I'm about to start boating to do errands. The furbaby is a tad upset about having to get her paws wet.
Saint, i always thought FORD stood for 'Fix Or Repair Daily' LOL.
tangiegirl, that whole car episode is scary. whew.
I have heard about that. Take care of you and yours. Including the furbaby!
I've heard that BMW or was it Mercedes had that problem. It was the cruise control coming on and off, easy fix but they didn't want to recall.
tangiegirl thanks for the link. I would of never thought of that.
araness my weed wacker is a little electric rechargable that I keep losing the string! LOL He has a gas one he keeps breaking. I guess we both try to do too much at once! I guess I might have to get out the sprayer and spray the edges around the beds. Just didn't want to do it with Ty running around and eating grass.
Our's is a Poulan gas one...lol DH just now figured out how to put the line in after having it for about 3 years! Don't ask me how the #@$$ he's been using it for this long with it being threaded wrong!?!
It has to be a guy thing! LOL
I remeber my friend`s in Sandiego hired some illegal aliens to come from Mexico to do yard work to help her care for her yard. When she looked out the guys figured that the weed wacker was how you mow the lawn and were all using pruning sheers and a weed wacker to mow her acre of lawn. Sorry your weedeater story made me remeber that mental pix. I hate our weedeater it has the individual cordings you have to put on every five minutes because you got too close to the chain link again.
Well,well, well...how exciting it is to come home to so many friends..your posts are so enjoyable...Dwerland and Tangiegirl..can't call yourselves 'newbies' anymore..you both fit right in...
Laura, we do have personalized plates, however I do not..and I am 'seeing red'..cute..can't wait to see jewelery photo's...nice to read your posts...sorry to hear about the floodings though..loss of lives .. how sad..now no getting out of it, when is your 'birthday'..wonder (excuse the pun) if you can ship a cake to Australia? hmmmm have to find out..
Vicki..doubt you'll be around at this time of night..am sure you are exhausted and hubby has you cuddled into bed...bet the yard look wonderful though...I absolutely love looking at the grounds after cutting grass...
Murmur..any news on the kitty....Don't give up yet, they can be gone for long periods of time before they return home ....
Araness....won't be far into the weekend I'll know exactly how much she holds lol
called mom tonight to tell them to pick up 4 bags on quickcrete..don't want cement dust all over the trunk this soon..
Shar..were you worried Jazz might have gotten out somehow..bet you were just frantic..how did you make out with the gallery display..completed now...I wanted to call you tonight but didn't get home until 9:45pm so that was quite late...went to friends to pick up her muskoka chair as she's unable to make Sat. class..so another friend will join me and paint it for her..by the time we left work later than usual because of getting tomorrow off and going to Darlene's and gabbing with her DH re woodworking..if there's a tool Mike has it..in fact he often comes here to help me with projects, if a tool is missing, you can be sure when it's next on sale I find it in my workshop..they are such great friends..although I'm 10 years older, I think they think they have adopted me...So, when I arrived home, it was total darkness! My apologies, very rare that I say I will do something and not..I just didn't want to wake you should you be resting...
jeeezzze ... somebody is outside lighting firecrackers and Sailor my dog is under the computer table trying to hide and crying....
Darius, do you have far to travel for the tests or is the hospital local? Let's hope Doctors can find the problem without having to hospitalize you again..could you have injured yourself internally with the falls into the pond? Know you must have used muscles you didn't know you had to keep from drowning?
Tangie, isn't it annoying when you try to explain to repair men the problems with the vehicles and because you are a woman they look at you as though you are from outer space...
Judy we missed you as well...you were so lucky to have spent time at the cottage this past weekend...glad you are back with us..
Well, before I fall asleep I'll do my daily post...
Best thing that happened to me today...my friend across the street - 2 houses over runs a bread and breakfast..now I love walking her gardens and being in her house..everything is decorated in a Victorian style..she has 3 bedrooms - 2 of which have ensuites..it's a place I'd love to spend the night and she and her husband are so welcoming..anyway, I received 2 calls tonight that she referred to me to take her overload..imagine, me doing a 'bed and breakfast' isn't it exciting...don't think my house is nice enough but she thinks the inside is so quaint that they'll love it..called my girlfriend right away to tell her and she laughed, said I'd probably have hostess gifts for them for when they leave, probably won't charge them and most likely I'll invite them back for a visit...so funnnny...both are mid-August but who knows, maybe I'll get more...will have to brush up on the 'breakfast' part...
Worse thing that happened to me today was dropping in and seeing my other SIL so upset... she trailered her horse to a town about 1 hr away...anyway, her horse died yesterday..they did an autopsy only to find the male horse was toooo hard on her and broke through some linings..know nothing about horses so don't know how to explain it, but, horse didn't make it...she was terribly upset..this horse she rode all the time...
What did I learn...better to be inseminated (???) not a lot of action but survival odds are better...sorry gals..not trying to make light of the situation but..true...
So with that I'm off Betty byes...but before I go, I've enjoyed visiting with you all....
Good story. Now I have a mental imagine of it! ROFLOL
Dawn, I purchased an add on attachment...don't go there...it's a chain link type attachment and you never need to use the nylon type cord...your story about the mexicans really made me laugh..
Second best/worst of the day.
Worst: no precious kitty yet
Best: I still have a tiny, tiny bit of hope that he'll return (very tiny)
What I learned: it is going to be hard to leave my clients and their families when I retire at the end of the year. Today was one of those times that I realized how much the families trust that I understand what their "kids" can or can't do and how they know I will do my best for them always (I "job coach" developmentally disabled adults).
ROFMAO ok when I first saw add on attachment after the horse story...ok I have a smutty mind and it's in the gutter..so what's new?
Hellz Mexican story isn't to far off...He's Chilean and not use to labor. That's one of the things that came as a total shock to him when we married and he moved here, that the cost of labor was so high. As home he had maids, hired help etc...needed something done he just picked up the phone and WHAM it was done. LOL now here something breaks and I have to give him the "Honey, do you know how much a plumber, A/C, mechanic, maid etc cost?" His family was all a bit shocked and thought I was so "homey" when they came for a visit and I cooked and cleaned myself...*snort* my answer was big boy over here gets a raise and I can assure you my fat arse will sit on the sofa and watch someone else do it no problemo!
i learned pain can really BE a pain.
after 5 weeks, i should be pretty well healed from surgery. but, another CT scan tomorrow might tell me why i'm not.
the bad news... if i have to eat ONE more popsicle, jello, or can of broth, i will swear off them for life (i don't like them anyway, either too salty or too sweet!)
araness, I went there too! ROFLMAO, I am suprised Dawn hasn't responded to that yet! :)
evening all,
betty,
i love the car and color how is the gas mileage? the steps to happiness nicely written, oh sorry about the horse, bed and breakfast hmmmm now that might be kinda fun and you know it might just give us all incentive to have to go to canada!!!!!!!!!
judy, i love that picture where was it taken?
murmur, hope kitty returns soon
sharran, what a rascal jazz is.
wonder, a cottage by the sea sounds so charming,what did you do while you were there.
hellnzn, oh my 112 any sign of relief soon?
tangiegirl, your picture is so pretty what is the other plant near the butterfly bush?
darius, hope all go's well for you
ves:i still think you should of been the asst mgr! i hear what your saying
best< one of our wild ducks came up to me and ate right out of my hand i wanted to grab him and give him a hug but i'll be patient
worst: have to go do inventory in another store with the boss tomorrow
learned: your all a great group
everyone have a great evening liz
Hi favorite buddies,
it is very late, so I will only tell you that I enjoyed all that you wrote, and will send you this one photo from the gallery. It is not a great picture, couldn't get the lighting just right, but you can see a bit of it. the show features the work of one little girl, the blond in the middle, she is a senior art student at a local university, and I had her in several classes in high school. She is a sweetheart and brought her mother, grandmother and 2 sisters to help hang the show. It is her first one man show, and she is very excited and very grateful. gives me much pleasure to be able to do this for her. still didn't get finished, but will need to spend more time tagging the work (name and info about each piece), but that can be done on the computer here as i have time, then it won't take too long to attach to each piece.. My son helped with the high spots so I didn't have to spend too much time on the ladder. he is a sweetie , too, and seemed to enjoy the endeavor.
You have a good evening, maybe tomorrow i can spend time responding to each of you.
Am worried about darius's tests, worried about Murmur's kitty, and others of you who mentioned concerns of you own.....you will all be in my prayers. Sweet dreams.....hugs to you all.
sharon
Best thing that happened to me today ... Well, I think you've already guessed by now. I've been so depressed ever since I changed my DG name. I can't explain it ... it had just become a part of me. I looked around at all the cutsie names and thought ... I want to change my name. Soooo, change it, I did. Immediately I regreted it. Then the other day The DH cane in the room while I was drinking coffee out of my DG mug made special for me by a DG friend who had put my DG name and everything on it. The DH said "Well you aren't IO1, anymore." I just cried I was so upset. I asked Dave if I could change it back and if not I'd be willing to lose my subscription because it meant that much to me. He agreed. I feel very blessed to have IO1 back again. I'm saying all this to say ...
My best thing ... I received my old name back today. I'm soooo happy! After all, you know what it stands for.
I = me
O = OWE
1 = GOD ...
the ONLY ONE
My worse thing ... there just couldn't be a worse thing on such a wonderful day like today. If you read this ... Thanks Dave!
What I've learned ... To be very careful what you ask for because you may not always be around understanding people and have the chance to change your mind. :=-)
YAYYYYYY FOR YOU, 101.........just also remember that a rose by any name is still a rose.......
Hugs to you, sweetie!
sharon
Just a quick note to say good morning....Darius...I'll be thinking about you all day today...please check in or send word as soon as you can. Hope you'll be back on solids very soon but for the interim, have you thought to freeze your own "popsicles" out of something more palatable? Ice cube trays or small plastic containers work well.
Murmur dear....I'm not sure whether to keep asking about dear precious kitty or not? I want you to know I'm thinking of you but don't want to keep reminding you of your sadness?
Betty, sorry about SIL and her horse. I am fond of equines (all four leggeds, really) and it's terrible to see a horse you love go down....you feel so helpless. That was quite the mental picture though...I must admit. I think I would love to be your B&B guests....Hospitality and graciousness...two words that jump to the front of my mind whenever I think of you. Thank you for the "not newbie" comment...I do have a way of slipping in and curling up on the sofa when no one is looking...so nice to be welcome.
Yes, the car I spoke of was a BMW but this was ten years or so ago and I don't even remember what the problem was at this point.....the memory that sticks with me was being discounted because I was female.
So glad you are once again IO1.....Dave's an all around great guy and we are all fortunate to be invited into his garden.
Sharon...the show looks to be fabulous and that is one artistic girl. How wonderful of you to help her grow her talent. Thank you for the pic....this is one time it really is worth a thousand words...
Liz...that is daylily "Daring Deception" She is too coarse for some peoples' taste, but I love her! Happy to let her go to seed, if anyone would like some?
Well, so much for a quick note! I'm off to work...hope everyone enjoyed a restful night...you night owls, you!
Morning everyone..I'm up and at it...sun is shinning through the windows, birds are chirping, coffee and donut taste special this morning so I'm sure it will be a special day!
Going to be at Walmart when doors open at 8:00..need to pick up a few things before I have to start work at 9:00 (not really work..answer tel. if it rings)...soooo perhaps they will also have a plant or 2 that wants to come home with me...
I do hope the day starts with sunshine in your area and that smiles are many today!
Welcome back 101....Darius thoughts and prayers are with you..Shar get that son of yours to give you a 'special' hug for me...to all others, I'll be back through the day and will gab....
Well that makes two of us that are happy you have your old name back! My brain was not registering the other name in association with you.
Darius - keep us updated on your scan. I hope they get to the root of the problem ASAP!
Best - Dinner out with a friend who gives sound advice and is willing to listen and not judge.
Worst - driving in the rain all the way home
Learned - seems everything I think I learned lately isn't sticking. I better read the Four Agreements book.
*Giggle, Im still laughing about the atachement thing.... i went there too.. dont get me wrong, im really sorry about her lovely horse.....
its just..... giggle.... insemination.... attachement.... giggle....my friend used to be a sales rep for the aperatus that is used for such a project and boy did he get teased! giggle....
ahhhh *wipes tear*...
spent the day with my GD and GS today and my DD. we went shopping for a birthday present for her. July is a big month in my family. Mine is on the 17th Betty, my DD is onthe 29th, my GD is on the 21st as is my sister, my DS is on the 22nd and my friend is on the 24th! My GM (god rest her soul) was on the 14th and my neice is on the 15th!!!
Its 49 for me this year and the big 50 next year!!! good grief.
A table garden.... ummm vergies garden i guess is the same thing, just a small one growing things like lettuce, snow peas, tomatoes that you would pick and take straight to the table....
The cottage by the sea was wonderful. here is the web address so you can have a look.
http://www.basscoast.info/cherub/index.htm
It is third last house at the end of a dirt road and then there is a little bushland, a small track and a wonderful private beach. Morning and night you can watch the dolphins coming and going. one afternoon we found a baby seal and i was sitting next to him patting him.. i went looking for the pic but not sure where it is. I will have to find it and show you. its a lovey island to holiday on and only an hour or so drive from me.
well its night time here so im guessing its daytime there. have a good one...
xx
oooo lookie, it turned into a hyperlink!! goodness knows how i did that lol!!
You do get used to your handle as they call it dont you 101?
where i came up with the wonder i dont know...
I guess its because i often wonder where something is.. like my glasses that are usually on my head after i have looked for them for an hour.
Or i oft wonder how the shoes got in the fridge and the milk in the wardrobe..
Or, its a wonder i can dress myself tho at times i have gone out with two different shoes and clothes on inside out!
Its being middle age isnt it?? you can tell me....I wont cry..... much lol
Of all the things I have lost............................I miss my mind the most....
waaaaaaaahahahahahahaahahahah
Hi everyone! I hope everyone's holiday was great (for those in the US). Very uneventful day for us. My DH and I vegged all day while the kids ran in and out of the house. Took a nap, cooked out with neighbors and then reluctantly drove downtown for fireworks. I love fireworks but I hate crowd and traffic so of course, we got both as well as positioning ourselves in a not too desirable section of town. The fireworks were taking place after the AAA baseball game which went 3.5 hrs!! So not fireworks until 10:45pm. Then of course trying to get out and back on the road in the traffic left me with a headache to beat all! So I guess that was my 'best' and 'worst' for the 4th. What I learned is that hip hop music just doesn't go with fireworks!!!
For yesterday, we surprised the kids and took them out of camp for the day and went down on the James River near Williamsburg. My sister met us and dropped off my neice so she could spend the day with us. She is quite the entertaining teenager! We really enjoy her! So that was the best part of the day. The worst was trying to get home hauling a pontoon boat, during rush hour with thunderstorms all around.
Well, back to work today. No one is here so luckily it's pretty slow. I hope everyone has a awesome day!!!
