I am so excited to meet you Dave and family, it seems wierd that we will be some of the few who get to meet you and it is a real honor to meet our "Garden Father."

Yup, homemade wine coming. any preferences all?

What are the options? My dh quit drinking so I never drink anymore to support him, so if I partake, I will be a lightweight. It will be that or my post surgical vicodin. lol

Well, we have zin, golden chardonnay, syrah, cabenet...any sound good?

When I drink I usually like smooth or sweet stuff like white zin., so you surprize me.

Leaving on Friday, Don? Hmmmmm.........will we be running into you at Cabrillo? If it were just me going, I would be leaving at 3 in the morning to beat the commute traffic, but Jer gets snarky if I want to hit the road too early, which means we'll probably leave at 9 after the worst of the traffic and still have 2-3 hours before sale is over for Friday....he doesn't seem to comprehend the need to be there first day and really, preferably....first in line. I think I just convinced myself to drive up tomorrow!

lol... don't worry... I don't drink alcohol... but too bad I can't be the designated driver... I would be lost driving there... oh maybe not.... if you drive in Boston (which I have done few times!!! and got lost....lol...) maybe I can drive anywhere... oh I have driven in NYC.... (that was a challenge.... could not wait to get out of there.... you see, my car has a Red Sox plate!!!!)

I am excited to go to CA... even if I have been here in the US for 20+ years CA still the place I see in movies!!!! so it's quite an adventure... and for the first time in over 10 years I am travelling alone... can't believe life has been that busy that I can't find time to travel far!!!!!

Yes no drinking and driving, we are going to take keys and Don will make all the drunks stay and clean and feed horses, fold up chairs and camp outside at his neighbor`s.

...or tend the compost!

I'll just sit on THE BENCH and crack the whip!!

There are going to be so many people that I will need a list with DG names, real names, where from so I can check them off when I meet people. There are always some that I miss and don't get to talk to.

Hey George,

Your not the only one who won't know the name of everyone....but that's what the name tags are for. If you want to have a list of who is who and from where they come from, just print out the list of attendees at the top of this thread.

This is going to be a very interesting RU this year, with meeting so many new members. :-)

Kassia, I know exactly how excited you are. I attended the Kentucky RU several years ago and I couldn't sleep for several days before I left. While I was there, I spent every waking hour talking with someone new and just had the best time of my life. I promise you will have a wonderful time and won't want to leave all of these new friends that you'll meet. Then when you get home to your computer again, you will start noticing the threads that are created from the members that you have met. It just keeps getting better. :-) Really looking forward to meeting you.

I will bring photo album of my old home in Calif and some other road trips and my new home in Southernwest MO. Some other of DG's RU 2007... 5 album books!

You better bring a projector and slides because it will be hard to show 100 people 5 albums in a day. silly goose.
