Hi, I live in zone 9 (paradise) so we don't get much frost, we get a couple of weeks of nights below freezing a year (and we are talking 30F). I have several kiwi plants, both fuzzy and arctic. I haven't had any flowers on any plants so far in two and one half years. The fuzzy plants supposedly came with both male and female plants. I don't know about the arctic ones, they were here when I bought the place.
I have read that kiwis need 200 to 300 chill hours a year. Could this be the reason I have no flowers? No flowers, no kiwis.
Any recommendations on variety of kiwi that might produce some fruit here in paridise on the CA central coast? t
