thanks Dave, I muddle really
has to be one of the longest running topics so far
Nancy fixed my shabby photo of this..............Happy Holidays Northeast
Coffee, Latte or Tea?
Nice tree, Al. is that your Christmas card? Happy Holidays to you and the bigcity family
But, did you ever see Robin Williams performing with Billy Crystal? When I see those two guys are going to perform together I invest in depends.
Robin Williams+cocaine= redundant.....funny, never thought of it that way Dave,,,,,but soooo true
Al, don't tell people I fixed it. It's your card.
Gram - this was my first year trying that layout so I'll be better at it next year to print it.
Neter - those hands are growing up so fast
my kids were able to do most of a batch of cookies last night, I pretty much put in the ingredients and took them out of the oven
Nice Christmas tree card!
Yum those cookies look yummy!
Next year I want to go to Anita's house on Christmas Cookies Weekend. She let's you have fun!
It was quite a bit of fun. They only have the patience for the sugar cookies though - cutting with the shapes and then painting. The other cookies don't do it for them.
Anita, definitely the best! what could be more fun than cookie decorating with kids? my 12 yo granddaughter came to help. good age. still fun, but not too big a mess LOL. I told everybody all the fancy ones are hers . the 17 yo had to work. but the little ones are just too cute!
Al, I love your Dahlia Christmas tree. Nice!!
Anita, don't be surprised if a "cookie monster" comes and steals your cookies in the night, he he. They look so good! I am an awful cook, but making cookies is a nice activity. I'll make some with my son this Christmas.
Harper
Anita, It must be so great to have you as an aunt! You must be so much fun for them to visit and you love them sooo much!
Just got back from a get-together with my 3 other roomates from senior year in college (1976). Also present was my roommate from Jr. & Soph. years and 2 other friends plus spouses. What a blast! Mostly conversations about the crazy old days but also discussion of everyone's colonoscopy experiences. Life goes on.
LOL! Dave, I bet that was an interesting conversation transition! Drunken keg parties to colonoscopies!
Thanks for the compliments everyone. Last night my sister-in-law, as part of our Christmas gift, treated us to see Annie at the Madison Square Garden Theatre. It was fun to see a show that I saw when I was 10. Even better, was watching the faces of my nieces. Although it was a bit long for the younger, both liked it very much. Kathy Lee Gifford was very good in it as well. http://www.thegarden.com/thegarden/resources/flash/annie2006.html
Dave, had no idea you were so interested in colonoscopies. I'm going next week. I'll D-mail you with details!
Anita, I know what you mean about watching the kids. I've been to shows where I watched about 1/3 of the show because I was glued to watching the kids watching the show :-)
gram - you can watch it all if you want to stay awake for it. I found it quite interesting and not as I had imagined. Love how the colonoscope snares and captures, then cauterizes the area and marks it for viewing the next time. The snare portion takes about a second.
I felt very flattered that the doctor recognized my face!
pirl, that's interesting. didn't know that was an option. I work in a hospital and I'm always interested in this stuff, even though I'm not clinically inclined.
I'd think you'd be flattered that the doctor knew you HAD a face LOL
Let's switch the subject back to Christmas cookies or something else festive. I'm going to watch 'White Christmas' and eat a candy cane ;0) (really!)
I also hung my new light and wired it for a plug and switch. It was supposed to be a ceiling light that I've decided to hand from my old plant hook. I also put together my wall shelf and hung that as well. The last part to the living room are the curtains, which are a Christmas present yet to be opened, and to hang the pictures.
Tomorrow starts the festivities at my SIL's family. I'll stay over at my brother's house and spend Christmas there.
Anita, you clever thing, that pillow is great! and you managed to wriggle a new sewing machine for yourself out of it, too. must have been aggravating at the time, but it worked out ok, huh? have a wonderful time at your brother's.
pixie, what a great picture! the smiles on the 4 of them could light a room for sure. beautiful!
You better be biased!!! You are absolutely correct though!!! Fantastic smiles!
Yes, Grams, it was real annoying. Thankfully, no one was in the store. You know, I have a few things that need to be returned [non-christmas related], I bet tomorrow would be a good time to do that. I don't think the return line should be too crowded, what do you think? ;-)
Anita, the lines should be short, but you may have to wait about 24 hrs.
It's an absolutely beautiful day here! 40* and the sun is shining so bright in the window behind me there's a rainbow on my laptop screen :0)
You have sun, gram?? We have mostly clouds, with a peek at the sun now and then as the wind blows holes in them.
might not last, Nancy, but it's sunny right now. just a few fluffy clouds. I can see every speck of dust in my house LOL
Ooooh, I hate that!
I just came in from gardening for some hot coffee. It's so beautiful - bright and sunny. Oddly enough the wind isn't bothering me today.
Well, it turns out that returning on Christmas Eve is the best time! In and out. The stores weren't too packed, but the return line was empty.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Mine was super. Samantha is on the fence in the believing department. She left a thank you note for Santa and I responded using the computer and a handwriting font. I think she believes for one more season. Jessie's famous phrase was, Santa...I luv ya man!
you're not fooling anyone now - for crying out loud - with your 'gardening'
Charlie's cute
I'll just have to take pictures!
Thanks!
I guess you will now won't you ;)~
I did! Are you curious? I came in at 4:57.
The kids are all adorable!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!
Dave
Al your daughter is very pretty, and DN looks like he might have a hint of devil in him?
Pirl...that has to be one of the most precious Christmas pictures ever!!! He's beautiful.
Pirl - I was wrong - your driveway weeds are coming along GREAT.
Pix - my brother is a paster and I was very happy to see his kids behaving badly the last time I was at his house.
You are definitely not kidding with that statement! Why can't the Japanese iris grow there instead of those horrid weeds? They're either Greater or Lesser Celandine and to make it worse, I'm the one who planted one scoop of them about ten years ago! Now they've invaded two gardens and really have made it to the driveway.
It's always good to know the pastor's kids aren't perfect. That would be so boring for the parents!
