Duff! I wish, it's Fudd for me
Coffee, Latte or Tea?
Al, You can't trust yourself.
Gram, OK. You are an impressively crabby know it all.
What's this about Elmer J????? Does the cwazy wabbit know about this?
Dave - you're only going to make her crabbier - knock it off.
Anita - I think Bugs is over 40 so I can't trust him either. Actually I have a really old Bug cartoon that looks like it was inspired by LSD.
Very festive Al! Who helped you? LOL
Well - my kids usually do, but they are sick. I make like 4 or 5 batches during the holidays so they'll have another chance.
Geez, is everyone sick? My son got a bad flu bug the other day, had both ends working at the same time if you know what I mean. The next morning DH did the same thing and DD too....packed up my other son and we went "visiting" for the day before we caught it. I'm happy to say it worked, so far he & I have been fine.
Yes I agree pixie there are some terrible bugs around. I have now had some type of cough that is just now going away and I had it since Halloween :( My two girls have also been on antibiotics as well as dh. We have been having a terrible time of it this fall ugh! I just hate being sick.
Pix - yeap the rest of my family has had that alright. My wife works at school and my kids go to school so they are overexposed. I have made it through ok so far - the years of my mother's cooking toughed up my stomache.
hang in there Dawn
Al, I'm sure your Mom would be pleased with that statement! lol
I think that was a compliment that she prepared me for the world ahead. I do the cooking here, not exactly Betty Crocker, but it's a hot meal.
my mom's cooking has gotten stranger as she ages, she lkies to throw in nuts or odd thing in dishes you wouldn't expect
Jello and nuts are great baked atop a meatloaf: makes it moist and crunchy!
Jello? on top of meatloaf? pirl, I have to ask..........Where did you come up with that?
Maybe it was Phyllis Diller's old stories.
Ih my goodness..I hadn't thought of her in years!! She was hysterical!!!
Al, thanks for the cookies. sorry everybody's sick. I never seem to catch anything anymore. of course, I wash my hands about a zillion times a day and don't have a lot of contact with school age kids. but DIL is a pre-school teacher and she's always got something or other. I'm surprised I don't pick up anything. guess I've already had all the diseases. DH gets a flu shot. (I can't...egg allergy). guess I'm tempting fate just saying this.
I loved her line about her mother having to tie a pork chop on a rope around her neck to get the dog to play with her.
Hey all. Al, pixie and Dawn, hope your kids feel better soon.
Al and Gram: I love the Simpsons and have no cute little Simpsons chatchkas. What's a girl to do? Al, where'd you get that happy Homer with the beer and remote? I gotta have one.
I remember Phyllis Diller and all those guys, Milton Berle, um, the other guy with the round face... what's his name? Tell more jokes by them! Refresh my memory!
Harper
Gram - maybe you caught some OCD instead.
Harper - that was a gift. I do believe I have seen stuff like that at Spencers or Hot Topic.
Harper, do you do any shopping online? you could probably find a million things if you did a search on Simpson's collectibles
in fact, I found Als...

Al, better OCD than flu LOL and as a bonus I have very clean fingernails
Gram - I think they would be cleaner if you wore Kleenex boxes on your hands all day.
Dave - did you hack into our family photo album online again? Ha
Ha! Love that shot of your mom Al. My, what eyelashes she has!
Gram, you're the best! Oh, oops. I don't want to make you crabby. He he. Al, I'll try Spencers and Hot Topic first. Thanks!
Harper
Al - YOU made the cookies??? You are definitely a man of many talents! Phyllis Dyller was definitely a hoot and a half!
From "The Joys of Aging", by Phyllis Diller:
Do not eat at:
Any restaurant featuring "Cream of Yesterday" soup.
Any restaurant that features the wines of Kansas.
Any Chinese restaurant called "House of Wind".
Al, I definitely see a family resemblance. Does your 'mom' bake those psychedelic Christmas cookies, too (which look really, really good every time I scroll by)? (btw, how do you know I don't wear Kleenex boxes on my hands? didn't your 'mom' ever tell you what happens when you ass|u|me?)
pirl, I like the 'Cream of Yesterday' soup best. funny, funny. remember her husband, Fang
Her real life husband was named King Donovan. My ex had the same last name and thought of himself as a king but I dethroned him after 28 years.
I had it wrong. King Donovan was married to Imogene Coca but Phyllis Diller was married (second time) to Warde Donovan.
Alright Pirl - you're starting to go back to the old silver and black now.
I would probably take Pyhllis Diller over Joan Rivers for talent .
Harper - I went out shopping in the big mall tonight and went to Spencer's and Hot Topic(always the oldest person in there) and didn't see squat for Simpson's stuff. Were you trying to remember Don Rickles before you knucklehead?
While we are on the subject, a moment of silence for Peter Boyle. The man who made the Frankenstein monster funny and tortured Raymond and Robert for 10 years.
Never go to bed mad. Stay up and fight.
Phyllis Diller
I liked Peter Boyle, didn't watch Raymond - but he was in a lot of stuff. BTW - we have some women at work who named their kids Abby, of course I have to call them Abby Normal.
What a talent - he said he got the Raymond role because he was acting cranky. It was hot, he was late for the reading because he got lost. Did you also know that John Lennon was the best man at his wedding?
Wow! I didn't know that. Just learned he dropped out of a seminary to pursue acting.
That was one of my favorite movies...some quotes...
It could be worse...it could be raining.
Frau Blücher...'horse whinnies'...
What knockers...why thank you doctor...
Put... ze candle... *back*!
The knockers line was so funny! Wasn't that Teri Garr?
Yes it was.
Talented man. funny, funny movie. a great cast altogether
