You got it! That was too easy. Just for that, the next one will have to be really hard. ;-)
Ehemmmm... to easy??? remember I have never set foot in the USA. THAT was shere luck that I found it. It started with me finding a Golfcourse with a "similar" looking mountaine that turned out to be your mountaine =))
Janett
Heh, It almost looks like Montgomery, WV.
Is it in the Appalachian Range?
Wow, good job on that one, Janett!
It is in the Appalachians.
Appalachian State University - Asheville, NC!!!
No, not in NC
Roanoke Va?
Not TN or VA.
Is it in West Virginia?
No, not WV
Is that the Maryland side of Harper's Ferry?
Or southern Pa.?
Or southeastern Ohio, for that matter.. It could be Marietta except I can't see either of the rivers in the picture.
Not MD or OH. It is southern PA.
Is that Duquesne ?
No.
Is it Morrisville?
No. Aren't you supposed to be studying for your biology test. ;-)
Is that the Susquehanna River ?
I studied for my test yesterday.;-) I had it today @ 8:00a.m. & was thru with it @ 8:30. I know now that I had better take better (or more detailed) notes. He didn't go by the book much.
O.K., that makes sense. Sometimes I kind of forget that you are three hours ahead of me.
Not the Susquehanna River.
Is it in Greene, Fayette, or Somerset counties?
No, none of those.
Is it in Bedford, Franklin, or Fulton counties? :-)
No, none of those, either.
Is it Johnstown?
Yes, it is Johnstown!
YAY!!! I got one ! Well, really my girlfriend got it... I ain't from around here
She tells me the Native Americans told the settlers not to live there...Did they listen? Nooo
Here's a weird rectangle state factoid: a percentage of all alcohol sales in this commonwealth go to the "Johnstown Flood Relief Fund", whatever that is. I think they fixed it a long time ago
"The" Johnstown Flood was in the 1880s but there have been others since then. The last that I know of was around 1980. Still, that should be paid off by now. Sounds like another govt rip-off to me, but what do I know. ;-)
I assume that everyone knows about the original Johnstown flood, but just in case, here's a fairly short summary. http://www.jaha.org/FloodMuseum/history.html
Kelli, you take AMAZING pictures!!! Is this one in Arizona?
I'm guessing the Little Colorado
Thanks, Marylyn
No, not AZ or the Little Colorado
