They are sequoias, but not in Kings Canyon.
Where Am I? - A Fun Game (I hope)
Boole Tree on Converse Mountain?
How about Sequioa National Forest!? You said it was "easy'.... Is that it?
That's close. (Not Boole Tree, either. I see that if I just type the word no, the system doesn't accept it.)

Yoesimite National Park?
No. You guys are making it harder than it should be.
The closest guess has been Kings Canyon.
wait is there a Sequoia National Park too?
How about Redwood National Park?
How about Inyo National Forest?
Yay, Blooms! It is Sequoia National Park.
Hah. I looked on the map and sure enuff. New I had it then.
How could I pick Kings Canyon first? Cause I always had that on my list of places to go see.
This is fun.
Green Horn Mountains?
No, not there.
Go for the gusto! ~ The Sierra Nevada?
No, not the Sierra Nevada or any sub-range in it.
How about the Cascade Range?
Or El Paso Mountains?
No, not either one. South of the Cascades and north of the El Paso Mountains.
The Inyo Mountains?
Getting closer. I don't know if this is much of a hint, but I am at an elevation of around 10,000ft.
My atlas gives 14,246 ft. in elevation for the White Mountains....to high?
You got it! White Mountains. The tree in the picture is a bristlecone pine. Does your atlas show the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest?
I don't see it. :( Is there history with it? I see that there is an Indian Res. near by...(that sounds interesting.)
Joey
Well, I was going to ask if it was near Big Pine area. Now I find Bishop and Big Pine are near each other.
On this map, you'll see a trail that goes out to the east of the Schulman Grove. The picture was taken out on that trail somewhere. http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=37.38445&lon=-118.17831&size=l&u=4&datum=nad27&layer=DRG
Lots of history associated with the bristlecone pines. http://gorp.away.com/gorp/resource/us_national_forest/ca/see_iny1.htm
Oh, Kelli! That is sooo cool!.:-)) Thanx for sharing!...Standing beside one of the"ancients" would make me so minute!
DH thinks it's in CA, sooo, Emma Wood St. Beach?
Avila Beach?
It is Avila Beach. How did you know?
That was quick!
I cheated... LOL I looked up "Shark Attacks California" in Google and Avila Beach is what popped up first. :-)
Want to try some more?
