I did not notice big improvements in ALL my plants but certain ones show the most definate improvement. All my abutilons (I have at least a dozen different ones) grew much larger, with deeper green leaves and all the leaf sizes increased. I had early flushes on most brugmansias with the leaves also showing rich green despite my not giving them any fertilizer or anything else so I know it was the Messanger. I have since fertilized most things but I am behind. Brugs have continued to flush within a couple of weeks of each spraying. I usually don't see that until late summer, early fall.

Ditto on the abutilons. I just noticed the new leaves, post-Messenger, are HUGE. Still have horrible problem with earwigs on them though.

Likewise, I can't say messenger is doing great on everything but my annual geraniums probably have double the number of blooms they normally have. Also my gardenia has about 10 blooms on it and it never blooms this time of year. It also is producing new leaves much more quickly, just seems all around quite happy at the moment and it does tend to be an "emotional" plant. Also some new hostas I planted have done extremely well for their first year. I'm not sure if that is messenger or not because I also used it on two hostas in their 2nd year that didn't do much last year and they aren't doing a whole lot this year either, although they do look better than last year but not as good as my new ones. So, I'm not really sure if the hostas are responding to messenger or if I just got some nice really healthy plants this year (from the Foxfire coop).

earwig remedy

l gallon of water
l/4 c ivory liquid (or any dishwashing soap)
l/2 c. cooking oil

Mix. Pour over and around affected plant (in early AM or late afternoon of course to avoid sun burn)

Oh boy Sue, I'm gonna go do that right this minute. Really, the oil won't make the plant unable to breathe? OK, I'm gonna try it on your say-so.

only 1/2 cup per the gallon so it will be fine.

Well, just realized this evening is my Messenger application so I'll wait until tomorrow. Also don't want to turn this thread in yet another direction so I'll post any results in the garden foes forum.
