Patricia & and Kim I will do a collection of the trailing for you. You can have all the Stonecrop and Lemon lime you like.
Sylvia
Texas Roundup TRADING LIST
Sylvia I want some of the lemon lime. Ted
I have the first trailing shown but would like a start of the other two.
Sylvia, yep I'm sure. It's beautiful for sure, but I've seen really huge ones here in Fredericksburg and I know that trying to keep it contained in my yard would be overwhelming. There is a house in town that has some of these that are quite old (they have trunks like trees) and the "bush" is as tall as roof of this 2 story house! It gets cut back periodically, and just grows right back.
Sylvia, as your tour guide to College Station, LOL, can I ask for a start of Stonecrop and Lemon Lime? I have pictures of my garden art offerings now and will put them up before long. I will add some plants later, but haven't outside to see just what yet. Maybe this weekend for sure.
Ted which picture? you got the lemon lime! SheliaYou got the Stonecrop and Lemonlime.
Shelia yesterday I went on dry run exit 403, thank God I did. we got lost ...not really lost, but we couldnt find the HomeDepot. We stopped at this hotel and asked and he said we could see it off the road. Well we didnt because I think I went to the right instead of the left. At this point I felt so defeated, I told my friend to drive. So we took off again and found it at 287 and 77. So anyway I think I go to the left on 287 and stay on the service rd. I would never have found that in the middle of the night! Poor Ruby, she just barely back to Dallas before she ran hot! on the church's parking lot in the middle of Easter mass's going on, I was so embarressed. LOL ...water and freeon running everywhere. Ruby is still at the auto shop!
LoL
Sylvia
Oh Marylee, I was telling my friend about the RU trip and the first thing flew out his mouth was Fredericksburg! He told me I should be going Fredericksburg, what a neat town it was. The antiques shops and the shopping and the history ... and he went on and on. Then he started talking about the peaches. Peach this and Peach that, he use to live in Austin. Anyway you got any peaches you can bring me? LOL
I bought myself two peach trees from HD about two months a go. I counted about 11 peach so far and they are in the huge barrels and I have Herbs planted around them. I didnt buy them for the peaches tho, I bought them for the beautiful blossom they have and to make shade for my Hostas.
Oh yeah, I have thyme and ChocolateMint and 3 or 4 other type mint too....
SILVA THE ONE 906pm
Thanks so much Sylvia for the sedums.
:) Kim
Sylvia, yes Fredericksburg is a pretty neat "little" town. It gets less and less little each day. But our phone book is still barely 1/2 " thick.:) I think DH said when he was growing up, the party line system was still being used and in many stores in town German was the language you heard.
No I'm sorry we don't have any peaches. It's still to early. They start selling those around Memorial Day weekend. DH said the peaches are supposed to be pretty good this year, but the grapes are in bad shape. That last freeze got them. I have to say, I don't think I've ever heard of anybody buying peach trees only for the shade, but then I have yet to meet you Sylvia.LOL
Does anybody know what this is? Last year this plant bloomed only once. Just one flower. This year it has 9 buds so far. This is the first one to open. I'm putting this in the RU thread in stead of the ID forum to see if anybody wants some of it. It's not a particularly stunning plant, except when it blooms. But OH BOY, when it blooms, look out!
Mary Lee, of course I want a little start of it! Whatever it is! What does the plant itself look like? That is a huge gorgeous bloom.
Patricia
Mary Lee,
Storms went by us this afternoon to the south and then went off to the northeast. Drat.
I have a plant in the greenhouse that looks a lot like yours, but it has never bloomed. I have no idea what it is as a friend saw it in Arkansas while on a church youth choir trip and asked for a piece. She carried it on the bus for a week and thought it was dead when she got home. Hers has grown like crazy, and the start she gave me has too. Now I will treat it with more respect and hope for blooms! It goes everywhere, and I had seriously considered discarding it. Glad I didn't!
Want a start of mine in case it's a different color?
Patricia
silverfluter I would like a start off of it.

ceejaytown will be at the roundup add me to your list for an assortment; LOL.
Great!!! I used to live in Edmond - and LOVED it! Where is Kingston?
Mary Lee....that most definitely looks like a very nice epi. I would love a cut of that! I have a couple others, it's true they don't look like much unless they are blooming, but those blooms are gorgeous!
ceejay...I'd like a black princess taro.
TA Rogers... what agaves or vines are you looking for? I'd be interested in your coleus and daturas.
Kim
Patricia, I have another plant similar to this, but it's a night blooming cereus. It blooms at night and the flowers only last one day. Last year this flower lasted several days. I wish I could tell you what to do to make it bloom, but I have no idea why this one suddenly started blooming last year. I will go to the other forum and see what they say. If yours is not a night blooming cereus, I would like one. My neighbor gave a 5 gallon bucket of that last year and I gave it all away, because I already had one. These plants are really awsome, but because my greenhouse is only 9 x 12, I am really limited on space.
OK, I'm putting down Patricia, TaRogers and Kim for cactus orchid (?) or whatever it is. Did I miss anybody?
Ceejay, do you have an extra black princess taro? Will they be hardy up here or is that another GH plant?
Omg Marylee, that a Cereaus! It supposed to bloom at night! but whatever I would love two or three of those leaves. The one i owned had white flowers but it bloomed at night.
Sylvia
CJEE i would love some of you epiphyllum too and some Lysimanchi(? what ever! Is this the plant that blooms in yellow?
TED I got you covered!
PAT
I could use some of this: Obedient plant -- 'Pink Bouquet' (invasive)
Apple mint (invasive)
Cannas -- 'Red Stripe'
Lady in Red Salvia
if you you still have some stuff left. I got a lot of Salvias at the last RU but they haven showed up yet. Even my Black & Blue havent shown. :(

WOW I wish we had a storm coming!
I just posted the pictures in the cactus orchid forum for an id. Is night blooming cereus a cactus orchid? All these latin names are confusing. I was reading through the threads on the cactus orchid forum and just got more and more confused. I guess I need a remedial latin course.LOL
I thought night blooming cereus had flowers that lasted only 1 night. These open at night (Iguess), but last several days at least. Does anybody know what you have to do to get these things to bloom? I have a night blooming cereus that has no buds. These 2 plants have had exactly the same care or lack of care.LOL
Here is a link in the PF on Epiphyllums.

To get your epiphyllums to flower, give them a rest in the winter. Keep them cool(but not freezing) and dry. In the spring, start watering again and they should flower. This works for rat-tail and rick-rack cactus too.
Shelia you sure you have not missed the Bloom? When morning come they are gone. Also this plant love to be Root Bound, It blooms best at the stage. ... and the way you sleep......... lol
Sylvia
Oh my Shelia ... I never knew you were so creative. I dont think I have anything that would be worthy of one those pieces.
Sylvia
Sheila, you are very creative! Your plant stands are really cute. Unfortunately I have no table yet on the patio. Everytime I mention making a table, my DH says "and where would you put it?" I always tell him
I'll make room somehow.LOL By this time of year there's usually only a path through all the plants. This year alot of it is taken up by hibiscus seedlings.:)
I think my cactus orchid looks most like Apassionata, but I'm still waiting on a response to my thread on the cactus orchid forum. I'm assuming that what I have is not a night blooming cereus since this is the second morning for this bloom.
I was just reading in the cactus orchid forum where somebody was talking about an epiphyte (sp?) they had that always bloomed really well. She puts a banana peel under the stems and lets it rot. Could that really have anything to do with the plant blooming?
Sheila! those plant stands are adorable, very creative indeed!
Josephine.
MARYLEE, CHECK OUT THIS SITE!
http://www.ecology.org/tropicals/#Epis
SYLVIA@WORK
Sylvia, thanks ALOT for that site! There is a lot to read and some very helpful info too. I could spend a long time there. Did you read the whole thing? I'll go back to that later. I have to get back to work. That's fascinating!
Kim do you have any Clematis or Passion flower. Any type of Cactus.
Ceejaytown Kingston is just north of Lake Texoma between Durant and Madill.
Here is a short list of some things I will bring. Speak up for what you want and I will put your name on it. That way I will get to meet you!!

Loudigger Put me down for the following.
THUNBERGIA GRANDEFLORA- BLUE SKY VINE

LouDigger, I would love to have the Carmencita Castor Bean Seedling. Darn that Ted, he's too fast! LOL! Don't guess you have another Vitex hiding in a corner?? See if there is something I have in the previous post that you might like.
Loudigger, I will take the Pride of Barbados seeds if you still have them, I had two little plants and they were killed by the frost, this time I will leave them in pots.
What would you like from my list?
Josephine.
loudigger - I'd love a lion's tail... Do I have anything you'd like? (posted before)
Got these down for:
blue_eyes - black princess taro

City_Sylvia - epiphyllum, lysimachia (yes, the flowers are yellow - see photo)
TARogers - assortment
Did I miss anyone?
CJ
Hi Margie,
If you still have them, I'd love a yellow hibiscus seedling and a lion's tail seedling. See if you can find anything on my list (toward the top of the thread) that you could use in your garden. No trade necessary, of course, for anything on my list!
Thanks,
Patricia
Sheila, could I please have your Butterfly ginger?
One of mine died this winter too, with the low temperatures.
Let me know what you would like from my list.
Josephine.
