Mitch, I listed red and white daylilies, but I actually meant maroon and white. I confess, we are Aggies. I have been looking at daylily sites and haven't found any that are listed as maroon, so I'm hoping for something close. It would be nice if they were reblooming.:)

If the lantana is hardy here, that would be great. Hazel says it's good to hide daffodil follage as it dies.

Mary Lee- I can bring a lot of lantana cuttings or a plant (they dont like to trasplant but like to root or so I am told let me know what you would rather have). I dont have a any maroon DLs I dont think but I have loads of near whites. (there are no true white DLs) so I could more then cover your white :-) I would be interested in Bush Morning Glory, verbisina virginica, and/or Tx Star Hibiscus LMK what you think and I will get yours ready. Mitch, Put me down for 2 trailing lantana cuttings and a few white daylilies. Are they reblooming or fragrant? What kind are they? Maybe I can get the maroon color from something else. I will put you down for Bush Morning glory, verbisina virginica and Tx Star Hibiscus.

Rooted Brugmansia cuttings. I'm not sure about the varieties as yet. I have to sort through them. Most are named varieties, but a few lost their name tags in my hurry to get them in the greenhouse in November.

Bob, I'd like some of your La iris too. Do you have any interest in hibiscus or Gulf Coast Penstemen? I'm trying to imagine what 2.5 acres of La iris looks like in bloom! Do you have any reblooming iris?

Bob, I have some invasive spearmint I'll bring. It lives by my pond and keeps multiplying. I don't need anything in return since the last time we met you supplied me with so many wonderful veggies.

I'm not sure what I can have ready by then, but I took some brug cuttings last weekend and I can start some other cuttings this weekend. I'm running behind this year, too many things that need done!

Josephine, All the Elderberry you can comfortably spare. What type are you growing? I will be happy to load you up with La Iris. I live about a mile from the meet, so we can pop by my bog and load you up. It doesn't need to be anything like an even trade, I have at least an acre too many. The first are starting to bloom now.

Silverfluter, I have a few daylilies that rebloom, but but my La Iris very rarely produce a second bloom. I love hybiscus, I grow a few wild ones and some of the edible ones. I have lots of bog here in the Brazos county so for me Brazos Penstemen is a lovely plant that I tend to mow when I need to. I also grow lots of primrose, not by choice. I love primrose, which is good, cause it would be hard to get rid of. If anyone wants some nice wild primrose, I think I could find you some.

I'll bring some bare root La Iris for door prizes. Eolian is a great blue, Barret Strawn is a great yellow, and Scarlet Lady is a rich red. If you want fancy, Bayou Tiger is hard to beat.

Hello Bob, the Elderberry I have is Sambucus canadensis, which does great under moist conditions. Will 12 be enough?
Does your Iris have to be in a very moist condition? or will steady moisture work O.k.
If it doesn't have to be in a bog, I would like two or three of each color.

Josephine, 12 would be wonderful. Keep in mind that for 12 elderberry plants my DW would be happy for us to fill your truckbed with Iris. I have a lot of fabulous iris, some that my father never got around to naming. He was quite a hybridizer in his day. He made his name hybridizing waterlilies, but he really loved the Louisiana iris.
The ideal environment for an Iris is damp ground under oaks that shed their leaves in the winter. That being said, they can be quite tough. I regularly throw cull iris up on the banks. Sometimes they live despite being tossed onto high and dry ground. I have some survivors that are quite lovely and will take anything you throw at them. The one that my wife calls Churchill is a lovely smaller blue. It has survived total neglect for years.

La Iris can be pulled up, clipped down and thrown in a trash bag. As long as they don't cook in the heat, they can take that abuse for days. You can take a shovel and slice open the soil and stuff the plant in and step on it to secure it in the ground. Water it and is almost sure to be happy. As the pictures show, I can spare a few.

Betty, I don't need anymore brugs! I've got more seedlings that I have to find a spot for(don't know where that's going to be yet, but I'll find a spot).
I like just about anything that will survive down here, especially if it attracts butterflies or hummingbirds.

Bob, I looked in plant files for the La irises you named and found only Bayou Tiger, which is interesting, but not exactly what I'm looking for. But since you obviously know your La irises, I'll take your word for it that they are great.:) I would like to try Eolian (sounds like something from Middle Earth :)) and Scarlet Lady and Churchill if you have time to round them all up.

BTW what reblooming daylilies do you have?

I walked out and looked at the scarlet lady patch and it is too mixed up to reliably pull a plant out of. There is a lovely purple blooming there, but it isn't scarlet lady. However the Kirk Strawn is looking good.

I failed to keep track of my daylilies many years ago. I know where the reblooming one is, but I don't know the name. The only one that I know what it is is the culinary daylily. Yes, I love hibiscus. The mallow family is one of my favorites.

Bob, Probably any La iris would be great as long as it's in the red, purple, dark pink or dark blue shade. Most of what's in my yard is either white or light pink. I really need some colors that'll grab your eye. The one in the picture looks great.

I'll bring some extra hibiscus, but if you want to look at my list and tell me ahead of time, I'll put your name on one, or two or however many you want.:)

Trish, I have two small potted Pecan trees and one Redbud, can you use them?
Also have 2 potted Roughleaf Dogwoods.
Didn't know if you needed trees.
