The saga of all new gardens continues. Before and during

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

The dirty four letter S word! How could you?? Did you really???

I still have annuals and tropicals blooming and doing well. It broke my heart today, ripping out glads and castor beans and some other stuff but they just don't fit with the 'buy me' landscaping I am putting in. LOL

Really pretty looking with the setting sun shining on them!

We already know you are the queen of the edited photo Margie! LOL Is that real?

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

YES, it is real, see I told you we get fall here too!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL It is very pretty. :) Where is your fall pic Sue?

Well guys, I guess I am going to sit and love my baby for a bit. I have to head for the new house bright and early. My trunk is loaded with plants again but I have to stop and pick up paper work at two different schools so the kids will be ready to start in November. I hope I have time to do some planting before I head back.

Night all!

Chele, your highs are lower then my lows. We were in the high 80's today. Tonight we should get down to the 60's.

SNOW???? OH I think I saw that on a postcard somewhere......

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Sheesh it's dark outside, I will find a fall picture to take sometime this week. Got to find something first.

Actually, yesterday was shorts weather, (NOT ME, those days are long gone!) we went hiking. The tall middle one is my son (20), my daugher with her short hair and SIN holding Natalie and 6 1/2 yr old Connor.
I know, I am changing the subject.

Careful Casey! The only thing worse than zone envy is zone vanity LOL

I like having different seasons and fall is my favorite so I could not live without it. Winter I could do without, but that is the reason I moved further south and it isn't so bad. It's fun to sit by the fireplace with a hot cup of cocoa and watch the idiots slide through the intersection at our corner and into the parking lot across the street. Inevitably, the fun will be over one day when they slide on into the living room and join us, but for now it is fun small town entertainment.

Cross my heart...no photo-editing at all done on my photo! My whole street has those trees turning red and yellow!

Vegas,NV Filbert, SC(Zone 7b)

Rachel, I have zone envy.

I want color and a four season change. I wouldn't mind snow a few weeks out of a year. Unlike 1800 watt blow dryer heat blowing you in the face 9 months of the year.

Thus the reason I am moving to SC

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

You have to love your baby? Is that what you can Craig call it? Couldn't resist, Chele!!

Springfield, OH(Zone 5b)

Yes.. we did.. it didn't stick but there it was.undeniable shocking and horrifying.. agh...aaaaaaaaagh...

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

We're supposed to get down to 39° F tonight. Ugh.

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

Their is a group of chicken that lay Easter eggs ,
No !
I do not drink ?
they are called Araicinas (sp. ) pink, light green ,
pale blue eggs. If some one has a hang over and opens ice box it will shock them sober LOL ,they are from the jungles of Brazil i think ?
The silky eggs are good just small . I use to raise the fancy chickens just like flowers had to try all kinds

Vegas,NV Filbert, SC(Zone 7b)

Okay that is cool tazzy. I don't think I could handle the stress of a fancy chicken. With my luck I would cross breed them and get stripes or something.

Rocky Mount, VA(Zone 7a)

CARAT unless i am mistaken that has already been done, I will try to find you a pic when i can.

Vegas,NV Filbert, SC(Zone 7b)

EGads..... you have got to be kidding....

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Goooooooooooooood Morning! I see you all played a bit longer. ;) GW you are bad! I went and snuggled up with Maddie. I have not successfully weaned her yet. I am not pregnant, so no there is no real motivation (other than me being ready to wean her!) like there was with the first five of them. Craig did come home, run two other kids off the couch, slide under the blanket and keep my feet warm. That is about as good as it gets. LOL

Sue, that is a really good family picture! It is nice to see little boy people. :) Why does Natalie look like she is about to bean Conner in the head with that duck? LOL How I wish I was wearing shorts, standing on some stand somewhere. The cold doesn't usually phase me but right now it is sure getting to me.

tazzy, you better lay off the Vino. LOL Pastel eggs you say?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Maybe there is hope for tazzy... http://kids.families.com/easter-eggs-straight-from-the-hen

Springfield, OH(Zone 5b)

Green eggs and ham, Sam I am :) only the shells are green.. the yolks are orange.. work great for omelets and scrambled eggs but are a bit strong for just straight eating... Make regular eggs look anemic

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Look at all these pretty birdies! http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGA/Arau/BRKAraucanas.html

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I looked at McMurray today and they are sold out of almost everything! There are certainly no turkeys of any kind available. LOL

YOU GO GIRL!

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

I got a whole warehouse full of turkeys.
They've worked here for years.
How many you want?

Ric

Vegas,NV Filbert, SC(Zone 7b)

The colored eggs are just to much for me. I am strange that way I guess, I also could never eat an animal that I think is cute. I don't eat much meat as it is.
Ric my daughter when she was little went to a farm for a field trip, as they walked in the barn area a turkey flew down from sitting on a ladder wrung, and landed on her head. she cried the whole way home. So now at Thanksgiving before she takes her first bite, she laughs and say look who's on top now.

All the feather friends on that site were so funny. I love the chickens with the handlebar mustaches. And of course the silkies for beautishop makeover days.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I have officially started a farm naming contest.
