Farm->chicken coop->now the bobcat and pond!

Michelle, it sounds like a great plan for the girls to end school on Halloween, have a big party, then have a bit of a break while they move into their new home before starting school.

And it sounds like sometimes you get a good case of the 'overwhelms' looking at all you have to do. I don't blame you one bit. But I'm glad you don't give into it because thinking about all you have to do before you can 'get on with your life' never really works. This IS your life! You ARE getting on with it! It's just that this particular time is full of productive work and creative energy and maybe somedays you just have trouble keeping up with yourself! LOL I can't imagine why!
From one creative spirited overachiever to another - here are my little survival 'pearls of wisdom' (LOL), born of hard won experience. (Remember, life is too short to make all the mistakes yourself, so learn from the mistakes of others.) I'll bet other people on this thread have some to add.
1. Life is process not product. You'll never be 'finished'. So just set short term goals.
2. Learn to prioritize by separating the 'must dos' from the 'want to dos'. They are easily confused.
3. Each day take small 'mini vacations'. Sit down with something nourishing ( I don't think Little Debbies count here), for just 10 minutes and appreciate all the work you've accomplished so far, including the work of 6 lovely girls you've produced! Do this at least twice a day. I'm smiling as I type this, because I think this will be a big challenge for you. It certainly is for me.
4. Hug your children and tell them how much you love them and how proud you are of them, and how much you appreciate it when they help you, even by staying out of the way.
5. Force yourself to take a day here and there and do something away from the house. It'll feel like ripping velcro apart to do it, but once your are doing it, you'll be glad and you'll be able to attack your projects with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

I'm personally still working hard on numbers 3 and 5.

I don't always post, but I'm always lurking!

Badseed, Pixie wrote good things for us all to do.

I worry about you trying to do too much. Take care of yourself,

The message from Pixy is good advice and much appreciated. :)

For now I remain focused on my tasks. Hubby works seven days a week and I am racing the frost. LOL I will sure be glad when things are settled and I can concentrate on decorating my new house!

The ten day window looks good Chele.
Cool but no mention of the 'F' word.

Remeber now though..........when they do those 'frost in the outlying areas' warnings......
that's YOU now............. :-)

Take a day off this weekend.
Pull up a chair in our outback and watch us wrassle w/ the Hoop covering.
I got cold ones and it should be good for a few laughs!
Last year Robyn almost turned into a kite! lol

You know I am watching that weather! I dug up a lot of the front bed today and threw enough bare root plants and bulbs in pots, to fill my trunk again. :) I am going to run up tomorrow and check on the fish and get them planted. The girls and I will be running to the other house this weekend for another plantathon. The weather over there is normally within 1-2 degrees of what it is here.

Springfield, OH(Zone 5b)
