When I head up there I will bring all the cactus and other spinny things you can dream of with me. I will clear out the fields and make everyone happy around here. ..
Bought the farm and a $64,000 chicken coop. LOL
Hiyaa Michele, nice to see. I'd been looking for you in daylilies. Whew, you've got a lot of work to do out there. Good thing autumn and cooler weather is coming! Be careful on that new tractor! Hugs, mich
Kathleen wanted to know where Dexter, New York is...
It is way-the-heck-too-far-upstate-New-York. We are on Lake Ontario about twenty minutes from the Canadian border and just West of Watertown, NY.
Great salmon fishing! Enough snow for everyone!
I think Rita paid us a visit today...lost two tall pines. Now they belong to my neighbor! HA!
Just missed his house, and he can't hear a darn thing..so he's lucky he din't look up from his coffee into a bird's nest.
LOL, we had that storm early this morning, but I don't think anything fell down. Panama is 3 miles north and 10 miles east of the PA border. We don't really live in Panama, so we're a little closer to the western edge. Lake Erie provides our snow - more than enough here, too.
Hubby went out today and worked on a few plumbing issues. We are going back out tomorrow. My bobcat will be delivered at noon. :) I need to get out there a bit before that and mark off the area then dig it up. I am going to use whatever spare time I have to rip the sod off future beds. This stuff sure is getting expensive. LOL I am also getting a new Cub Cadet tomorrow. :/
Did you get any damage from that wind last night?
We had 1" bamboo snapped off.
I hope your pots made it thru OK.
Ric and
A "new Cub Cadet"?? Did I miss something? I thought you already had one delivered, and were getting a refund on the delivery charge due to it having 30 hours or something on it? What happened this time?
At the end of all this you can write a book. "How NOT to buy the farm in 1000 uneasy steps!"
Estrogen Acres!
mg
A couple of the plants at the farm blew over but no real damage.
The mower is a bit quirky! LOL They took $350 off and you get a rebate for delivery anyway. When they went to take the money off, they screwed it up. They charged me for another. Then they credited back off a higher amount. It was a weird way to do it but I got more off. LOL Because purchases go through faster than credits, my account had a negative balance and I called and told them. They are bringing me a brand new mower and letting me keep the discount! :) It pays to stand your ground AND be nice about it. HA!
I am starting to think I should include persistence, stamina, determination, insanity or something similar in the name! LOL I may just have to go back to the other name I thought was funny. "crazy ladies ranch". Admit it. If I wasn't, I am now! :)
Edited for my studder.

Ah Chele you been through so much how about ' Seeds to Heaven'
Nonsense Nursery?
mg
Hmmm, still thinking. Thanks for the suggestions! I may have to have a naming contest. LOL
Lets see -
I always thought Muscadine Valley or Muscadine Acres would be a great name, Then again there is always Daughter's Land for your girls, or Laughing Earth Flowers (for the earth laughs in flowers), then to there is Dear Darling Daylilys, Lost Love Plants - if you want to focus on older plants...
I will come up with some more!
Glad to see you made it through anyother day!
I was following the tractor thing, but got lost somewhere. So you got a brand new CC for less than the one with 30 hours on it ?
How about "6-pack Heaven" for your farm name. After all you basicly bought it to raise your kids on.
We will need pictures of you getting the job done with that bobcat!
Have a Great Day!!
Bernie
Six Angel's Farm?
Green Valley Farm
Blooming Acre
Blooming Escape
more to come..
And to think you boys are being more creative than the girls. :) MG will get me for that one. LOL Had to do it. Between the two of you "Sugar and Spice (and everything nice. That is what little girls are made of)" came into mind. I don't know that that says perennials though. Hmph
Yes Bernie, I am getting a brand spanking new one for a LOT less than the one with 30 hours. I never should have received that one in the first place. People have been messing my stuff up a lot the last couple of months. Wonder what bad thing I did in my last life? LOL
Hubby took a picture of me with the walk behind in the spring but he was told not to get one from behind so I deleted it! Men! Maybe that bobkitty will have more metal than glass and you will actually get to see my smiling face. I LOVE tools! Maybe I should just go work at a tool rental place. giggle
I remember the picture last spring. I had to look twice, I had no idea there was a walk-behind bobcat.
Bernie
Sugar and Spice - have the web site listed for Sugar with the flowers and the Spice for the fruit, veggies, and herbs
Daylily Bay
Growing Melody
Moonbeam Gardens

Enduring Perennials
Eternal Farm/Acres
Everlasting Farm/Acres
Perpetual Perennials
Persistant Perennials

mg
The what was i thinking farm ?
I could have had a V8 farm .
how am i going to pay for this %$#@$% farm
or my favorite The rootie toot toot Institute
How about
Badseed Gardens
Badseed Farm
Badseed Pond and Garden Nursery
Or simply - Badseed's
There's something about the name that rolls easily off the tongue!
Oh!
How about Badseed's Sprouts
Sort of a play on words referring to your daughters.
I'm a little twisted, so I think you should use Badseed in the name. Anyone who couldn't see the humor in it probably wouldn't buy anything anyway.
Yeah, I need to go to bed now. You have a million times more energy than I do.
Bush Gardens
You could call it Badseed and only sell plants adding that the seed to most of the plants does not come true to the parent!
I like Green Acres but you would need to write them to use it...
Sun Drop Plants
New Spring Plants
Flora Farm
Rising Star
Enchanted Melody Flowers
More to come...
Six Reasons
You guys have some great names! I have to laugh about Bush Gardens. With the current state of the fields I think it would have to be Brush Gardens! The current state of my head would suggest Brainfart Gardens, Insanity Acre, ummm I have a whole list in my head. LOL Let's see...Tortured Greens, In Over My Head, In Too Deep, Flexall Farm, Super Seven (acres) Nursery, Crazy Eight (family members) Farm...
Okay, gotta hit the shower, grab my tools and get on the road. My bobcat should be delivered at noon.
I wouldn't use a number 'cause ya never know when that may change!
I do like Insanity Acre and Tortured Greens. Something catchy like that is bound to draw attention. LOL
Hey use the number 7(females) if she gets one more kid she can always blame it on the kids hmmmmmmmm how old did you say you were tumb tumb tumb How old can you be to still be able to have children (smile) knowing Chele it may be safer to name it
NEVER ENDING Farm :0)
Janett
Fertile Fields ;)
LOL, Angie... That's wonderful!
Well, If you haven't tore down the chicken coop-- save the chicken boxes and the roosts if any in there. Even covered in poop they are worth money. I have a hen laying box and down here it is worth $15:00 to a memorabillia collector. Roosts make nice knick knack shelves. Corky in Fla.
"Chele, thread is getting hard to load on dial-up. Time for a continuation thread... as if you have time, LOL.
umm still thinking over here
Pocket Posey
How Does Your Garden Grow? (long but you could do it themed with shells and such)
Haunted Blooms
Musa Village
Daylily Dell
Wishing Well
DLA (Daylily Anonymous)
Will get a few more..
Meyers Mayhems
Good evening! I just got home. We left here at 11 this morning, met the people with the lawn mower and the guy with the bobcat, in the drive. I have the pond dug and ready for the liner. I ordered the liner yesterday and it arrived today! Some service! I ended up putting it dead in front of the house but about 80 or so feet away from the house. I am really glad I did because I have a perfect view of it from the living room and can see it from the kitchen as well. I cannot wait to see it filled in and planted!
Keep those names coming! I will know the perfect one when I hear it. I made my 12 year old ugh and eye roll when I mentioned "Eye Candy". LOL
Oh, I forgot to say...I LOVE TOOLS!! I had a lot of fun on that bobcat! :)
I also forgot to say I will start a new thread tomorrow with the pond hole. LOL
I would call it "Bloomers". Just imagine the logo... long~johns with flowers all over them! I love it! tt

I am finally back from my vacation and can't believe all that you have done this past week!!! You are an amazing women, I tell you.
I've been thinking of names also, and everything I think of has your name at the beginning:
Chele's Nursery
Chele's Blooms
Chele's Garden
etc.
It roles off the tongue real easily doesn't it? :-))
Donna
aint no badseeds gardens.....
how bout
WAY too Fertile farms....LOL
Oldseed,
you are up in my neck of the woods
west monroe is off 81 by central square
I live on the north shore of Oneida
and the offer goes to you too
If you want chickens....have I got some birds for you....LOL
Chele
Yes,I have chickens that roost in trees
Even some of my Froo Froo Polish roost up in trees....LOL
I'm thinking you need some peacocks and ducks too......
as for you guys going broody or moody as the case may be...
if ya wanna hatch an egg ya gotta keep your body temp at 99.9 for 21 days.......I'm thinking hot flashes.......just stuff the egg in your cleavage.......and never roll over when you sleep...LOL
as for incubators...
there are plenty of plans around for home made models, but you have to turn the eggs 4 times a day so easy access is a must
I have big expensive ones with automatic turners, but normal people don't need those, see if there are any poultry auctions in your area, you can find used equiptment real cheap there.
In Columbus,Ohio (not sure how far that is from you) anyhow,in the beginning of November there is a HUGE poultry show at the fair grounds. You can find all kinds of chickens for sale there and even some equiptment. Its called the Ohio National
We go to it every few years
You can walk thru the show, pick out the breeds you like,go into the sale building, and see if anyone has stock for sale(Thousands of birds there) ,buy the birds there, and fill the coop!!!!!
If you get breeds that go broody you won't have to put eggs in your cleavage...always a plus.....
The name of the place that had the auction yesterday was "Hummingbird Habitat Nursery". I always thought that was a cool name.
Bernie
My all time favorite nursery name was a shade plant store.
'Hosta La Vista, Baby!'..........sadly now closed.
A name for Chele's hit me last night when I was talking w/ the S/O.
Seven Sisters
If you've seen them all together.....
Ric
