Mitch, anything is fine! I have no preference at all. I have every color in my garden and nothing in any particular order. Chaos is the name of the game here. lol

Dallas, TX

I have been called worse Maggie....lol
sylvia

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll have several mauve crinum lilies in wet newspaper if anyone would like.

(pots are too difficult, pots would be too top-heavy, whine whine whine.)

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Sylvia - how many Yarrow do you want? I am digging and just wanted to know for sure! Thanks Mitch

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

K blond what do you think of a double fan of this one - http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/26381/index.html

I just got it in today and they look good. I try to only have the lighter colors but I also have lots of bright and darker ones.

LMK if this one is ok or Egyptian Ibis, Malachi single fan, Highland Lord single fan... or lots of unnamed but I have the colors in almost any color you can dream -

Want to make sure it fits into the place you have for it.
If I dont hear back I will bring Inner View

Mitch

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

texasgreen, newspaper should be fine. I've taken things from swaps in it and things lived. There was a big "stink" at one over some of those Crinum Lilies. I might have to see what all the fuss is about.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Me too Texasgreen if I have anything else you would like - my Grandmother had some of those we tried to dig out but they were way to deep in the soil so had to give up... LMK Mitch

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

I had to do some research since you are forcing me to chose. I do like that Malachi one. I bet you like this one too!

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

:-) kinda had to get that one.. she says the blooms are the best color of them all. Took me a long time to find it but a great bright color ( one of my few really brights).

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, I don't want to take that one then! Anything, or nothing, is fine.

Anyone want a cutting of Indigo Spires? It roots real easy. I just take pieces that break off and stick them in the ground, and voila!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Konkrete, I would love to have the indigo cutting. Can I tag something for you? Or you want to select something at the swap. If you need Pickerl Plant for a pond, I have plenty of that. I separated a huge basket today and it made about 20 nice plants. I had it in my biofalls and it was at least 2 1/2 feet tall!

And Sedrick, the Forget Me Not was in Sun/part shade at my house, and that is what the file says too. http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/258/index.html I think as long as it had some filtered sunlight it may do fine. I will be bring them for anyone that wants some, the one plant made a multitude of seeds.

75154.....I would love some yarrow if you dig too much. :-) Would you like Pickerl? I also have some yellow water iris that I can grab for you.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Sure thing - how many yarrow do you want? I have 12 or so I can dig up. Pickerl - sure thing!

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Help me out here...what is Pickerl?? Is that how it's spelled? I can't find it in the database, and when I put it in Google, things came back in German.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I think this is it

http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/1239/index.html

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Mitch...that's very pretty! Sheila, I'd like one. I don't have a pond, but my parents do. :)

Anyone interested in dwarf Umbrella plants? I'll go get some from my parents tomorrow. I dug all mine up a few years ago because they wouldn't grow. Then I found out they were dwarf. LOL

Maggiemoo, as I scrolled down I ran across your list...do you still have some of the white sage/salvia? It looks just like the Coral Nymph and my red salvias, but white. Does it spread like they do? And your purple salvia, Henry something? I saw your Cat's Whiskers pic, it's beautiful!! Mine wasn't near that big, but hopefully it will come back next year.

I've also got White Buttercups, Evening Primrose. They look bad when transplanted then perk up.

Yes 75154 & Konkrete, that is it. I always forget about the second e. My blooms are as vibrant as those are though.
As for the yarrow Mitch, whatever you feel like digging. I don't have but two little clumps that I traded for locally this summer.
KK, I have the larger, but not dwarf umbrella, so I would love a start of it, but don't go to any trouble. It is getting so close to time for the swap. I know with me working at the job, and the heat up until this week, I have put off collecting items until last night. So I have a lot more to do today as I am sure you do.
This will be my first DG swap, I can't wait to get to meet everyone. Hope we have good weather.
Oh, and TEXMEL, I will wait.... I want to meet you!
Sheila

Dallas, TX

Shelia...I love that blue thingey..yes i would like. I have no blue stuff.:)
Sylvia

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Sheila - this is my first swap to, this is going to be a ton of fun.

I am bringing art work (both mine and a few not that are great), some books gardening and not, canned Bread and Butter Pickles, Canned Hot Peppers, some Frankhoma, and a few other house decor things just in case anyone likes them in trade for plants! Oh and there will be a war ration set, and some stamp sheet - and Sylvia I found you the perfect little brass thing at a yard sale to go in your hostas. Remind me to give it to you in the morning! I will get the yarrow out tonight along with the cuttings for Josephine.

Mitch

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Yes I would like some dwarf Umbrella plants. Have plenty of regular ones if anyone wants some.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 7b)

I potted up several things this morning, and have a small amount of each thing...

Blue Mistflower (Eupatorium)
2 hardy hibiscus
2 Taro
1 Lady in Red Salvia
2 Victoria Blue Salvia
1 Redbud tree
1 Comfry

I will grab my plants after church and see you as soon as I can!

I will leave here at 8:00 and know I will get lost somewhere. LOL
I do every time I try to take on the Dallas traffic alone.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

At least Sun Morn the traffic is light. I would say go to I20 dont take 30 unless you know the area around here. It might be a little farther but worth it to me (can you tell I hate I30?)

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Ted, our phone # is at home 817-277-1539
our mobile phone 817-706-9518.
Please check out the maps thay are pretty good, but call us if you need to.
Josephine

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, konkreteblond, those were my crinums at that swap.

I've just now gotten enough increase to bring them again.

They're just like the "Milk & Wine" lilies, but they're just "Wine"! They're just gorgeous, & they grow in full sun (brutal western sun at my house).

& yes, Mitch, I'd bet this is exactly what you were trying to dig up at your grandmother's:

I got these from an elderly neighbor, who had gotten her "start" from *her grandmother*!
When we tried to dig them out, I nearly broke the garden fork.
Some of those bulbs were as big as cocoanuts!

My head is beginning to spin, so I need to sort-of re-cap. Here's what I *think* I have earmarked for different people:

Mitch: small pots, crinum, cannas
Konkreteblond: crinum
Maggiemoo: Louisiana iris

What I *think* I've asked for:
Maggiemoo: cat's whiskers. and I just looked up the bi-color iris: if you have some extra, I'd love some of that.

Sylvia, if you still have some sweet autumn clematis & some Night-Blooming Cereus, I'd love to have those. Let me know what you'd like in return.

General "stuff" I have:

Autumn Joy sedum
lavender sedum
orange trumpet vine
crepe myrtles (very little, but they have roots)
lemon yellow Conestoga cannas, soft orange "species" type cannas (hummingbirds like the more tubular flowers)
lamb's ear, looks crummy but they all do right now.
red ruffled basil
one hot pink Texas rock rose
salvia black & blue
also have seedling trees: pecan, golden rain, walnut

Let me know if you want *any* of these plants, 'cause some of them are just about sure to be left at home:
my car is a Corolla, & when I run out of room, I have to stop loading plants!

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

:-) Sounds like you got it - they are a stunning lily. Was the cattails the size ya need or do you want more? I am going to dig out a bunch more this afternoon. I will also have Egyptian Ibis DL sigle fan left if you are interested. Got to get out there and dig!

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Mitch!

The cattails are plenty; Thanks!

I looked up the Egyptian Ibis daylily (beautiful!), & I'd love to have one, but it says it suffers in the heat.
All I have is blistering heat! so I'm afraid I'd be delivering it a death sentence.

It is a beautiful color though.

(If you still have any unclaimed iris, I can always use those.)

If anyone needs me, I'll check email tomorrow before I head to arlington, & I'll get my phone #s to Mitch so he can call in case of last-minute, dire emergency, or change of plan messages.

See y'all tomorrow!

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Alright will bring in a bunch for ya, I have a good sized clump saved fro the I35 growth in Lancaster with your name on it.

Adding: The man I traded this from is in FL so will check on that on I know the colors bleach out but will check on the plant itself in the heat.

Dallas, TX

Mitch
I am taking I30 like you said...I hope these directions are good. where is 20 anyway? is that like going to Desoto?
Alright - I only know how to get there from 20 but I would think 30 would be fine. Take I30 out of town towards Ft Worth. Take exit 26 and go down Fielder to the South.Stay on Fielder past Randol Mill, Abram, Park Row, Pioneer Parkway, to Arkansas. On Arkansas turn to the west (left). Turn left on to Spanish Trail - Veterans Park will be on the left go in the first drive and we will be there up the path a tad waiting for ya! easy right?Hope so I20 is easy but way out of your way I would think.... Mitch
....pray for me. lol

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

People, People, simmer down now, no need to worry, we will be fine whatever we get. Just get there safely. Our mobile phone again in case anyone gets lost,
817-706-9518
Get a good rest, see you tomorrow.
Josephine.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I wish I had a mobile phone right now!

I20 runs east to west on the Southern edge on Dallas.

There are two Sylvias Sedrick and TexasGreen. And yep I got mine from TexasGreen just last week (an early swap) so KBlond you know Sylvia in Ovilia? I meet her through freecycle last year looking for plants for the kids at school, she has the best gardens around her office. It is the first long row of Iris I have ever seen - full and lush it just looks perfect.

May this be the first of many Dallas area swaps!

Josephine I dont know what I would do if you had not stepped up and helped with all this back when it was just a crazy dream!

Mitch

Dallas, TX

Ted if its not too late I would like a piece of that Florence Vaughn please email me before nine if i have anything you want.
thanks, sylvia

Dallas, TX

Oh My! two Sylvia's....well i am quite sure we wont have a problem tommorrow. lol
