I love that crossvine, the Purple mealy Sage and the Blue Salvia. I see I am going to be busy this weekend potting up stuff. Also I am moving my Hostas to bigger pots...so i will have about six or seven varieties .....marguirite, white ray, Royal Standard, krossa Regal, variagated undulata and Golden Tiara hopefully.
I will update my list sunday night
MITCH ...I just saw your link to the other thread..so please disregard my previous question.
Sylvia
Hey I do the same thing Sylvia - at work all the time I ask for a paper only to find it was on my desk the whole time! How do you keep Hostas alive in Dallas! I have lost so many I swore I would never plant another one! I just hate to kill plants again and again!!!!
All I do is water them and keep them in pots! I have about fifteen varieties and just ordered another twentyfive! :)
Sylvia
You must have some really good shade - I have one little area of some shade but just must not be what they need....
They need sun! They love the sun and the heat -Mitch
I will be there and have some things and seeds....
tall mexican petunia
blue mist flower
becky daisy
cypress vine by the tons if you want it...
black magic elephant ear
seeds
castor bean
nastersum
birdhouse gourds
black currant datura
triple yellow datura
moon flower vine
I would love some of the iron weed if there is some left. I just saw Paige's and it is beautiful!
Oh, Cindy, I need another black magic.... mine just about made it, but this last month was rough on it! I think I will keep it potted until it cools down!
Melanie
Hello Cindy, so glad you will be coming to the Swap.
Could you save me some of the black currant and triple yellow datura seeds , Please?
Thank you very much.

Sure Mel I will save on for you....
And Josephine sounds like we have a trade....if you still have any iron weed...that is just wonderful! I have seeds with your name on them ...
Thanks

Is it to late to ask for a few Frostweed and Jimson to add to my list?
Is there anything else you want from me? Soil plants cuttings or other?
I am getting way to ready! Mitch
Dames Rocket Seedlings (year old) and Field Iris is all I have left to trade - any takers? I also have white yarrow and a brass plant pot holder I will bring if anyone is interested.
Edited to add I have a huge (20 or more) pile of black pots if anyone wants them I will stick your name on them if not they are up for free no trade needed I just have way to many of the big size for what I do. I try to only use the small black pots and cups!!!

I don't have much to bring, but can bring some of the following if anyone is interested:
I just harvested seed:
Coreopsis auriculata 'Nana'
I have lots of balsam; a lavender, one with bright watermelon red or fuschia petals below and the top petals are lavendar/purple, one with just light reddish petals;
I have found out how to collect the seed, but the pods are still very green, so don't know if they will be ready for the swap - I hope so.
I can bring cuttings of:
Turks Cap
Buddleia davidii 'Pink Delight'
Buddleia davidii 'Royal Red' (looks purple to me)
Lantana camara 'Festival'
Sedum 'Autumn Joy'
Sedum 'Frosty Morn'
Cindydj, I would sure love some of the Becky Daisy.
I like white yarrow... Darn I feel so greedy..Mitch you know I am always interested in brass plant holders. ;)

Sylvia
Hi guys!
After yesterday's Houston Nursery Date, I'm still hungry to meet my friends in the Northern Territory (lol). Meeting you all is worth whatever it takes to get there, so I'll be there!
The bad news (Sylvia, you will totally understand this), the salvia cuttings I started struggled for awhile, then looked like they would make it, then turned to mush. I will figure out a way to make good on those commitments though, I promise! I will still be bringing the crossvines and cat's whiskers. (By the way, do we know if John is still coming? I'll have his crossvine as well, and want to meet him!)
Looking forward to next Sunday!!
Maggie
Ohhhh Goody! Goody! ...doing the happy dance now! lol
Sylvia
Can not wait to see you here! Mitch
BTW Sedrick I already had the yarrow with your name on it!
Is this swap for forum members only, or can I tell friends about it?
I've mentioned it to several friends, & some are eager to find out.
thanks!
Texasgreen, I think it is O.K. to bring your friends, but I am not sure,
maybe Maggiemoo can tell us for certain, will you please Mary?
I posted a thread for attendance and food, so if something changes be sure to let me know so I can update.
Here is the link http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/546023/
Mary, we havent heard from John directly or otherwise for some time,
I see that he has passed messages along to other people, so I think that if he was coming he would have let us know, that is all i can tell you.
Josephine.
Texasgreen welcome - good to meet you over here!
It is fine with me I dont think it would be an issue..
I don't see any problem with other people coming, it's totally up to you guys.
It might be a good place to find a few more good gardeners to add to our ranks (after all Texas needs a few more!)
thanks!
It's late tonight; I'll sift thru my lists (groan!) tomorrow & let y'all know what they can bring.

Sylvia - is the Moses in the Boat the purple plant with the white flowers? If so would love a little - you have to many great things on there way to hard to know what to pick...
that pot is also full of daylillis I bought and never planted...did you say it takes a year for them to bloom? oh mercy that pot has been there for six months...thats the one I was telling you I saw at the HD that was so awsome...had forgot about it...and no you cant have it! LOL!
This the pot I want to transplant...again...it took 2 or 3 years for them to bloom again and the flower is not as big as it was when I first got them from SH 5 or 6 years ago...they were huge!
The flowers are on the scapes, each scape comes from a fan, each fan can take a few years to bloom - thus the more fans the more chances to bloom. That is our Daylily fact for the day.
