Very good pictures everyone. I really like seeing the other parks, hopefully I'll be able to see them in person one day.
About those errors Howie.. I think the Brewers could rival that statement. They played the Cardinals this weekend and I saw lots of errors. Two throws from pitcher Sheets to first, was not caught, then dropped balls, and then yesterday, they dropped the ball out in center field 3 times, putting Pujols in a stop GO stop GO between 3rd and home. He made it home. :)
Baseball fans
The Charlotte Knights' players were really fumbly Sunday afternoon. A couple players, one from the Clippers and one from the Knights, went right down on their butts. Not that I am one bit more graceful than that on a good day!
Kim me too. LOL
That's funny about the girl Kelli. I don't know what some people think when they go after stars and such. There just people.
Anyway I see the Indians are coming to your neck of the woods this week. There doing real good against the Royals right now. That's not saying much but I'm hoping it will get them going in the right direction.
Well, if the Indians can beat the Royals, then they can probably beat the Angels. The Angels had a hard time with the Royals.
My father and I are going to see the White Caps tonight here in Lansing. They are a minor league Tiger farm club, so Dad likes to keep an eye on any hopeful prospects.
Well Kelli, I sure would enjoy seeing them take off into a wining streak but will just have to wait and see. Have fun at the game sylvi.
Waaahhhh! My husband doesn't like baseball, of all things. Maybe I need to surprise him with Mariners tickets rather than asking him if he wants to go.... better strategy. ;)
"Maybe I need to surprise him with Mariners tickets rather than asking him if he wants to go.... better strategy."
Sounds like a plan to me!
Baseball is the only sport that Kimberley will tolerate. She went to the game with me Sunday and is going to the Indians game with me in may. She does not want anything to do with football.
Football doesn't interest me at all, either. I like baseball the best. Basketball is a pretty close second.
By the way, what's with all of the weekday day games this year? Maybe I just never noticed before because this is the first year that I haven't been working.
Alot of the Cardinals games are during the day in the spring. I like night games better, get to see more of them. BTW... Cardinals have won 4 in a row, they finally got warmed up. :)
I'm getting real sick of the day games (radio only)....don't ever remember this many all in a row like this season. :-(
Yep Indians have had a few two. This week they are going out west though. So those games don't start until 10:00 our time. I might even get to see the end of them when I get home. Todays game was a day game though. I am getting ready to pull up the arcive and listen to it. I can't listen when I first come in. To many people and all.
I'd tell you all how the Dodgers are doing, but I don't want to jinx them. You can read about it in the newspaper. :-)
Angels starting pitching fell apart again today.
I'll be seeing your Indians on Sunday here in Seattle....that game is an afternoon game. :-)
I'll make sure to watch that one. We will see who gets braging rights. LOL On second thought I probably won't be home in time to watch it. We are having Daves Garden round up here in Ohio this weekend. So I will be down in Cincinatti.
Oh than you'll probably be having more fun anyway....I mean who wants to sit at home on a beautiful Sunday and watch their team lose. :-) LOL
I'll have a beer and a hotdog for you.
Marc
Yeh why would you want to do that on Sunday. I mean it makes since for me to be home my team will win. Better have 2 for me I'll be sore from all that driving.
LOL Something like that.......... hehehehehehe
Let's see 2 for you and 2 for me means no driving at all for me. :-)
And lord what's that come to like $100.00
LOL
$100.00? You must be going to the game then? I know we spent 15 just getting 2 dogs and 2 diet cokes this week at the Clippers game. Beer was $5 a glass and I figured I did not need the extra calories anyway. It sure would have been good though. It was pretty warm in the sun Sunday.
I went to listen to the Indians game and seen a news flash saying that they lost. So I did not waste my time to listen. That's the trouble with trying to listen after the game you sometimes run into the score trying to get to where you play the game. Oh well I'll get to listen to them win Sunday.
I'm sitting right off 1st base on Sunday...awesome seats!
Cool, I did see that series starts on Friday. So if the indians do what they have been they will lose Friday and Saturday and then win the last game. LOL
My favorite player? My seven year old son. First year playing and he's loving it. I haven't the first clue about baseball, but I guess I'll learn fast!
My minor league Whitecaps won last night! What a beautiful day for a ball game. It was sunny and 75 with a breeze, just perfect. For anyone who remembers the 84 World Series Tigers and Lance Parrish, his son Matt is playing for the Whitecaps, and wearing his dad's number 13. He did pretty well, on base 3 of 5 times, plays outfield and throws well. Parrish's other son (whose name I forget) is playing for the Yankee's farm club! There's a rivalry for you!
His name is David he was the Yankees number 1 draft pick in 2000. He did not play Sunday when we went.
Rikerbear.. get us some pictures :) I'd never be able to come up with those seats here. I'd like to have closing day, but can't find a seat under $400.00. Oh well, guess I'll have to have a baseball party/bbq at my house that day.
Thanks Howie! I hate forgetting things.
I'll get as many pix as I can.....hope to get some good ones with my new(ish) digital camera binnoculars too :-)
I was shocked to have gotten these seats for such an amazingly low price off of stubhub.com
They were only $23.00 a seat! Leaves me enough money to have mine and Howie's beer :-)
LOL
RikerBear
That is a great price.
Will be watching for you. I am thinking that you will be the one with a beer in each hand. : )
Yeah me and 20,000 other fans. LOL
Section 109 row 10, seats 9, 10
I'll wave at ya :-)
The Angels are playing Cleveland tonight. Colon is pitching. Sometimes he's good and sometimes he's not, so we'll see. I'll be watching the game since my Dodgers will not be on t.v. tonight (grrrr!!!). Actually, I'll be listening to the Dodgers on the radio and watching the Angels with the sound off.
I will be listening and maybe watching the last part if it's still on at 12:30 OH time.
It should be. Angel games tend to run long.
Osteole, we need to learn together. I just know they hit the ball and run the bases, if it's caught without hitting the ground first, the batter's out...Just the basics!
This little boy was what most impressed me at the Clipper's game. He kept stats on everything, with his dad telling him what everything meant. His dad really knew the game!
Angels won! Neener, neener, neener! ;-)
yeh yeh yeh rub it in. LOL I'm glad I did not get home in time to watch now.
You've got more than a fighting chance tonight, though. Washburn pitches. He makes me cringe.
We lost to the Cubs last night. WAH!!! We have two loser catchers, God love em. (cause I sure don't) LOL! I want MATHENY back!
