Explain your user name

I chose BlueNikko because 4 years ago when I was getting married, my flower lady showed me a picture of a Nikko Blue Hydrangea. I knew absolutely nothing about flowers! I fell in love with both the color and the flower, and that beautiful blue-violet became the color scheme of my wedding. Since then I have been fantasizing about a house with a yard just filled with it. So now we have our house with the yard, and I'm thinking, I better learn how to garden so I can take care of these hydrangeas I'm going to fill my yard with. Now that I am actually becoming a *gardener* (gasp!), every day I have a new favorite. It is truly amazing. But the Nikko Blue is what started it all ( I have one small one that hasn't even bloomed yet). Here is me with my Sophie-Girl. She is 10 months old.
Edited to say I changed my username from bluenikko to RachaelBee. My first name and my last initial with a twist of nature.

Thanks for all the greetings! I forgot to say, "but you can call me Rachael." I still dont know enough about flowers to name what was in my bouquet, but here a pic of it. The purples and blues were in all the wedding flowers.

User name is trois, real name is Trois. I will be 74 in July. Dw was just 79 in April.

I don't know why my mother named me Trois, except it had been in the family for many years, and I guess it was my turn. It's not bad though because I am always the only one with this name.

Mine is the name my Grandfather used to put on letters to my Grandmother during the war so that she would know everything was okay with him.

It's pronounced like Troyce, not the French Twaa. My signature is not legable, but is a flourish. As I tell people, if it is legable, it is a forgery.

My husband's signature is unreadable as well. He has said the same thing in regards to being able to read it. I once said to him to try to neaten up his handwriting. He said why, then they wouldn't know it was me. He's def got a point. I leave him alone about it from now on. lol

I knew as soon as I found DG that I had to join. It was in January and I had a bad case of spring fever. I was obsessed, rooting all sorts of plants and was enjoying much success with shrubs. Twiggybuds just popped into my head. I was in such a hurry to subscribe, I thought no further. I'm neither twiggy or budding. I just enjoyed my 54th with my 4 dogs, 3 cats, my 2 only children (18 & 31) and 2 grandsons.

Thought I had seen this thread once before (afflicted with Old Timer's?) but maybe not. I use meezersfive because that's what we have...five siamese cats... Usually when I have to pick a name for email or whatever I go into instant brainfreeze but I've started using variations of this (meezers5, meezersfour which was before we went totally insane and got the fifth, etc. ) and when I found Dave's Garden....that was the name I used. Not too creative like some but easy to remember~ Fell in love with this site the minute I found it, so many helpful and knowledgable people here. Come visit us at the Coffee and ... thread, we provide low calorie cyber treats with the coffee.....Here's 80% of the gang, soaking up sunshine. Yes, they are spoiled, I mentioned that we're nuts...didn't I??
