Welcome to the new Dave's Garden, version 2.0 :)

You'll probably also get this in your email.

We're happy to share with you good news about some exciting changes at Dave's Garden.

Today we have unveiled a new format that will make all our features more integrated and easier to access. These enhancements may mean that a few things have moved around a bit, but we think you'll find the new site to be even better and easier to use. Everything is now accessible from a tab at the top of the page and all the features are linked to one sign-in so you don't have to log into each feature separately.

We've written FAQs for each feature of the site to try to address the most common questions and concerns, and we hope you'll take the time to familiarize yourself with the new format and enjoy the changes we've made.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, we'd love to hear from you.

Warm regards,
Dave and the team

Yep, it changed right before my eyes! Do kinda miss the vine logo already!

I love the tabs instead of the scroll already!

The logo is still a little up in the air, actually. This might not be the final version of the look.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I was posting a message, hit send then SURPRISE, new screen. I like it!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Glad it isn't etched yet, like the layout and format but personally think the original logo was a bit classier (this one appears a bit childish to me)! There goes that personal opinion again LOL!

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

WOW! Love the new screen and the tabs for database and all. Makes it alot easier for us DGers to run around your garden. Thanks DAVE~

Minneapolis, MN(Zone 5a)

Wow, Dave, this is great!

I had to do a double-take to make sure I was logged in to the correct site. I love the new colors and graphics. Now I'll always have some blue sky to look at.

This is THE place to be if you are interested in gardening.

Thanks to you and your team for doing such a great job.

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

Love the new look! I love having the tabs at the top - - will make moving between areas much easier.

Mercer, PA(Zone 5a)

I like the changes. The tabs are a nice feature, and they do make it easier to move around from place to place. I also like the new background above the tabs, more cheery and colorful.

I give the changes a thumbs up. I think they're good ones and can only enhance DG's special appeal.

What a surprise to hit the back button after reading a thread and see a brand new page looking at me! For a second I thought I was lost. I like the tabs across the top, that will make it easier to get around, but what happened to the population sign? Could you use the old logo and just shrink it to fit in place of the new flower?

Hobart, IN(Zone 5a)

I love absolutely love it. It makes navigating the site much more convenient. Thank you!

WOW! I LOVE it.. The tabs across the top are the BEST! EVERYTHING is wonderful....I do miss the old logo though...Thanks for all your hard work...It's very much appreciated...

Surry, VA(Zone 7b)

I can see how things should be easier to navigate because of the tabs, but I have to agree with haighr about the new logo. The old logo had a class of it's own and this one makes this site look like one of the many generic gardening sites that are on the web these days. Just my thoughts.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

At first I was having plm with IE.. somehow I fixed the plm (problem)... then finally it work and open DG and surpised! I said WHOA! I like that! COOL!

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Thought I was on the wrong road for a second. Love and it is functional.

Houston, TX(Zone 9b)

Looks excellent so far. I definitely like!! As said before, much easier to navigate.

Hey Dave,

I got ads on the right side when I went into this entry in the PDB. They aren't supposed to be there if we are logged in right?

I already saw the ads bug. I'm fixing it right now.

(and being logged in doesn't matter. Only subscribers don't see the ads)

Pocola, OK(Zone 7a)

This is AWESOME, Dave! Great job!!!!!!

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Dave,
you rock!!!

It's great, Dave and team, I just love the new look and ease of operations.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Kewl Dave =)

I've been using this for a few days and I really like it. Seems the larger threads even load faster. . I think ?

Love the new look . I was running 2 links in my favorites list , one for each version for comparison.

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Looks good! I like both logos! Do you want spelling errors reported?

Zone 6, OH(Zone 6a)

Whoa!...where am I? LOL

Muscoda, WI(Zone 4b)

It's SUPER!! Dave I LOVE the new look. SO easy to find the stuff I use so often with the tabs at the top of the page!

Thanks for ALL the great work you do on our behalf.

I like the new graphic Dave. It adds some color to the site.

Valinda, CA(Zone 10a)

It would be convenient if there was a home button at the bottom of ones forum list. After I have scrolled down looking for a forum to read it is tedious to scroll back to the top.

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

I agree, George.

At the bottom of every page, you can click on "Dave's Garden" to go back home.

Also, clicking on the logo at the top takes you home.

Lastly, at the bottom you can click on "Back to the top" to go, well, back to the top. :)

These 3 features are present on each page on the site.

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

I just figured out where I was looking for a link back to DG home. It's after you post to a thread - a link there would be nice. :)

Valinda, CA(Zone 10a)

The bottom of my home page is way, way below the last forum. The button just after the last forum would be convenient. I hate scrolling as you can see.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Dave I love it too.
Should I go into my preferences and reset my watched forums? I'm getting them all instead of the ones I selected.

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Well..........."eyes'" loves it!! Change is evitable, progression moves on!! Kuddos to all.
